• Danièle (10/5): Sehr schön ausgestattete Wohnung in ruhiger Lage - Die geräumige Wohnung war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. In der Küche waren alle Gegenstände vorhanden die man sich wünschen konnte. Auch toll dass ein kostenfreien Parkplatz direkt neben der Wohnung war. Die Lage war sehr ruhig. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hierher kommen. Einen kleinen Minuspunkt gaben wir für die Dusche. Wir konnten es nicht schaffen, das Wasser in der Dusche auf eine angenehme Temperatur zu bekommen. Es schwankte andauernd zwischen sehr kalt und glühend. Ausserdem, war das Lampenlicht im Aufenthaltraum eher schwach. Zwar war es sehr schön und stimmungsvoll, aber für uns nicht wirklich ausreichend hell.
• Angela (7/5): Disappointing - Spotlessly clean, well appointed, great parking. Property located in an industrial estate 20 mins from Aachen centre. Although we booked this two-bedroom property, with two double beds, when we arrived only one bedroom/bed was made up with linen. Given that we travelled as two individuals, not a couple, and had paid for two-bedroom accommodation this created an unnecessary hassle. We contacted the host, and although he came to the property within an hour or two, he arrived with a single bedsheet only – no pillows, no quilts, no quilt covers. When we asked for standard linen that should be provided for a double bed for the second bedroom, he informed us that this was not necessary as we could share the linen/quilt/pillows from the first bedroom between us. We had to negotiate before he reluctantly agreed to provide one more pillow and one more quilt - it was unpleasant and unprofessional. This accommodation is not a hostel and was not in the ‘budget accommodation category’. As it turned out it was cold even with the heating on and we required two quilts each for warmth. There was also an issue with getting the water hot, which meant lukewarm shower for one of us and cold for the other. The owner’s instructions about how to rectify the problem were minimal and the issue remained unresolved until the day of our departure. It was only after I had requested compensation that the owner became more concerned and this was the night before check-out. Once we had checked out the owner clarified what the issue had been, but he seemed more focused on pointing out that we had misinterpreted his instructions and on proving himself right than he was about resolving the problem or apologising. Our interactions with the owner spoiled what would have been an otherwise pleasant stay.
