Elroi (2/5): This rental was a misleading, overpriced basement unit with numerous issues - location is good During my order, there was no indication that the unit was in the basement. The summary of the order explicitly stated that the unit was an "Entire unit located on the ground floor," not in the basement where windows cannot be opened. When we arrived and discovered this, I was shocked and disappointed. I would never have booked this unit. Upon our arrival, we had to wait 1.5 hours to get the keys by a courier. Contrary to the information in the email, there were no electronic keys provided. When we finally entered the unit, it was full of mosquitoes, making it feel like we were camping. After complaining, we were told there was no solution until the next day. Consequently, at 22:00 I had to search for an open pharmacy in Athens to buy mosquito protection. Moreover, the douche had no doors or even a curtain, causing water to splash everywhere. The drainage system was poorly designed, with the shower floor higher than the residential area, allowing water to flow out. After calling, I requested at least a mop to clean up the water which they brough the next day. In summary, I would never have agreed to rent this unit had I known it was in the basement. The high price is misleading, as one would expect a normal, ground-floor unit for such a cost.
