• Elmas (10/5): view and location wonderful - I was a little skeptical because of the reviews, but after arriving, I concluded that the negative reviews were malicious because this is a small but charming place. I stayed exactly as I saw in the photos, and I loved the view and location. The host was an honest person; they responded to messages immediately and were very helpful.

• Silvia Cinzia (1/5): Il Sultanahmet Center apart view hotel di Istanbul non esiste, è una truffa - Il giorno della cancellazione gratuita, un tizio mi ha contattata su WA per comunicarmi che l'appartamento prenotato non era più disponibile a causa di un problema alla caldaia e mi ha inviato un video di un altro appartamento. Arrivati ad Istanbul (di notte) ci ha fatto vedere una topaia, orribile e sottoposta alla strada, pretendendo anche il pagamento immediato. Per fortuna, non abbiamo accettato e, con l'aiuto di un tassista molto gentile e disponibile, siamo riusciti a trovare, per conto nostro, un'altra struttura alle 4 di mattina. Questo tassista, precedentemente sollecitato da noi, ha cercato la location del Sultanahmet Hotel, ma a a quell'indirizzo corrispondeva tutt'altro. Attenti perchè è una truffa!!!!! Ovviamente Booking è stata avvisata, ma a quanto pare, la struttura (scam) compare ancora nelle ricerche!!!!
• Kobus (3/5): Nightmare Experience - Nothing. Without doubt, the worst travel experience EVER. 40 minutes before departure of our 10 hour flight to Istanbul, we received a whatup from the Hotel to inform us that the geyser in our unit broke and that we will not be able to stay there. Shortly afterwards, while boarding for our flight, we received a whatsup from n different number offering us alternative accommodation. We had not choice but to accept. No need to say that our 10 hour flight was a nightmare, not knowing what to expect when arriving in Istanbul. When we saw the property, my wife immediately refused to stay there. If was far from the hotel we original booked, the staircase was dirty smelling of cat urine. There were no wifi, no washing machine and hardly any hot water pressure. We ended up on the street in soaking rain. It was a long weekend in Istanbul and all properties were fully booked. Eventually, we had no choice but to contact them again to accept. (We had to pay the same amount that we originally were quoted for the Sultanhamet Centre View Hotel). When we insisted to see the water damaged unit at Sultanhamet Centre View Apart Hotel, they refused to take us there. We eventually got ill with a bad flu and had to visit the hospital in Antalya for treatment.

• Sonia (1/5): La peggiore esperienza della mia vita - La posizione L’appartamento non era come nelle foto. Ho dovuto cercare un altro sistemazione la sera stessa. Il proprietario ha pensato bene di farmi vedere l’appartamento frettolosamente e farmi pagare altrettanto frettolosamente. Alla mia richiesta di vedere il rooftop mi e’ stato detto che in quell’appartamento non c era e l’annuncio era di tutte le sue case e lì il terrazzo (per cui avevo scelto l’appartamento) non c era. Abbiamo scambiato due chiacchiere e abbiamo chiesto un posto dove mangiare. Il tipo ci ha detto che i avrebbe accompagnato lui e che distava pochi minuti in realtà tra le viuzze di Sultanahmet ci si perde in pochi minuti ed eravamo 4 donne. Arriviamo al ristorante ma non volevamo mangiare subito. Al nostro rifiuto ci ha lasciate tornare da sole. Riuscite a tornare ho guardato con più cura e ho visto che oltre ad non essere quello che volevo era sporco ma sporco fuori dal comune ho usato delle salviette disinfettanti sul wc erano nere. Tutte le foto sono ritoccate con l’AI. Non vi fidate. Il proprietario non ha fatto risultare il check-in ma i soldi li ha presi immediatamente.

• madalin (10/5): Una estancia maravillosa en una ubicación perfecta!” - La habitación es muy limpia, amplia y cómoda. Mi parte favorita fue la vista al mar, que crea un ambiente fantástico para empezar el día. Además, el hotel está muy cerca de los lugares turísticos, lo cual facilita mucho explorar la ciudad. La parada del tranvía está a pocos pasos, así que moverse por Estambul fue muy sencillo.

• Alonzo (10/5): Estudio con encanto cerca de Sultanahmet y el mar - Las vistas al mar son espectaculares, especialmente al amanecer y al atardecer. La ubicación es inmejorable: muy cerca del Palacio de Topkapi y de la Mezquita de Santa Sofía, a pocos minutos caminando. Además, la estación de tren y la playa están muy cerca, lo que hace que moverse por la ciudad sea extremadamente fácil. La zona es tranquila pero al mismo tiempo céntrica. El alojamiento es limpio, cómodo y bien cuidado. El anfitrión fue muy amable y atento en todo momento. Sin duda volvería y lo recomiendo al 100 % para quienes quieran disfrutar de Estambul con vistas, historia y comodidad.

• GERMAN (9/5): Apartamento muy recomendable, céntrico, vistas al mar, junto a las principales zonas turísticas. - Apartamento con vistas al mar, esta centrico y no se necesita coger autobus para ir a principales sitios. Tiene todo lo necesario para cocinar. Hay que tener encuenta que esta en una zona antigua, el apartamento no está reformado, es un segundo piso con escalera de caracol. Está 100 metros de un paseo marítimo, puedes pasear y te lleva a la zona donde salen los barcos para paseos turísticos. Hay pequeñas tiendas de comestibles cerca pero conviene acercarte algunos supermecados mas grandes. El joven que te atiende Hanse, es muy amable y está siempre dispuesto a ayudarte en lo que necesites. Te comunicas con el por whatsapp o personalmente. El apartamento está muy bien, al estar en zona antigua y ser antiguo es asi.

The restaurant next door, Valley Hills, is an absolute gem and we spent many hours there over coffees and beers, breakfast and supper. They organised transfers to and from airport, which was super convenient. Welcome Tea and Baklava and other sweet treats to make sure we were settled. The photos on the site look absolutely nothing like the apartment we got. Saying that, it was ok, since we were hardly there.

They met us on the way to the lodging and stayed with us in communication with the driver as we were leaving. Quiet residential street, but near the sites. Our room was basic but comfortable. The sea view room has windows on two sides and views across the Bosporus to the Asia side.

The hotel staff were very kind from the day we arrived until the day we left. The staff, Hamza and Salih, asked us how we were every day and if we needed anything. They brought everything we needed with care. The rooms were generally clean and tidy. My friends and I enjoyed staying here very much. They are honest and helpful people in every way.

They were excellent in terms of cleanliness; the rooms, bathroom, and common areas were spotless, which provided me with a very comfortable and peaceful stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I needed, and I never felt like anything was missing when preparing meals. The staff's friendly attitude and attentiveness were also very much appreciated. A couple of minor improvements could be made, such as providing an ironing board and more pillows for added comfort.

The illuminated historical buildings looked amazing in the evenings. The rooms were modern and comfortable, which made my stay much more enjoyable. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to public transportation made it easier for me to explore other parts of Istanbul. I recommend this hotel to those who plan to visit the historical peninsula.

I could easily reach important points such as Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace from the hotel. There were also many restaurants and cafeterias in the surrounding area. • Carmen (1/5): Bad - The room was nothing like the one shown in the pictures (smaller, tiles were actually a sticker wallpaper that was coming out, water in the shower was coming out of the shower hose, sheets were extremely rough, etc). And the pictures don't show the entrance through a back alley, nor that the entrance is right next to a litter box for the dozens of cats that live there (and is not often cleaned). Also not in the pictures is the smell of cigarettes in the room (that smells like a bar with no windows before cigarette bans). But that's not the main reason why I wouldn't recommend a stay here. We arrived late, and when we got there, the manager explained that he didn't actually have the room because of a problem with the shower, and tried hassling us to accept a different room in another part of the city, and wouldn't take no for an answer. We were worried we wouldn't get another hotel at that time at night, so we said we would wait for our friends and make a decision. While we waited, we found another hotel nearby, and told the manager that we could take that one instead, to avoid the problems with the room. He then got VERY aggressive, complaining that he had already waited, that he could take the money from our credit cards, and even making direct comments on how I was not a good person. We asked him to cancel the reservation, and he would refuse, saying the app wouldn't allow it. He finally gave us a different room than the one we had booked (ours had an extra sofa bed), and charged us for the more expensive one. This whole experience made me feel very unsafe (I even had nightmares about the episode that night), trapped, and as if I had been scammed. I would really recommend you don't stay here.

There were no electrical appliances that did not work in my room, the air conditioning and the internet worked well. It showed that they loved their jobs. • Piao0407 (5/5): Does this beautiful room we booked really exist? - Location is perfect. No doubt about that. However, we are not sure we actually stayed in the right location that we booked. We had booked the 'Deluxe double room with sea view' but ended up spending the first night in the 'Economy double room' and the following nights in the 'Double Room with sea view'. The two rooms were in a house, which was not the same location as the pin on the map for the 'Sultanahmet Center View Apart Hotel'. The rooms we ended up staying in were old and the last pretty shabby and nothing like the photos of the modern sleek room we had actually booked. The rooms were tidy and clean. Towels and bedding were clean. Hence this generous score. We didn't like that what we ended up with was nothing to do with what was promised and nothing to do with the photos of the room we had booked.
