Guest Reviews
- Tristan (8/5): - The apartment is quite a mixed bag. If you are looking for something very central, and are tired of soulless flats rented by professionals, this is perfect for you. The apartment has a lot of charm, has a wonderful view on the city, and has a lot of personality from all the books and stuff left here by its owner. The guests are reactive and very nice. On the other hand, if you want a fully functionable and furnished flat, there are a few gaps here: the terrasse is lacking a functional set of table and chairs and there is still refurbishment work to be completed (the photos are not totally true to reality here), the upper terrace cannot be really used, there are only plastic plates in the kitchen, and there are places in the apartment that feel a bit overcrowded for those to be used, Overall we loved it, but you have to be aware of it when where you are going.

- Adam (9/5): - Eclectic, fun. Felt like legit Napoli

- James (6/5): Fantastic (but very hot) apartment in one of the best zones of Naples! - The apartment was quirky and very unique with lots of cool furniture and other items. It was a great location - central but still quiet and calm. Vincenzo was fantastic and showed us around and was flexible with when he could meet us. The terrace was perfect for enjoying an evening meal and a beer. We stayed in summer and it was HOT. The apartment was above 35C during the day and over 30C at night - even with windows open. No air conditioning available unfortunately. The pictures also don't show it, but there is a lot of construction materials and debris in the apartment and on the terrace. There was also exposed live electrical wires.
- Yai (7/5): Good -
- Ramoska (9/5): Superb - Beutiful views
Location
- Hilary (10/5): Memorable and enjoyable. - The location in the historic centre is splendid, but because the flat is on the 4th floor it's away from the noise of traffic. The terrace is beautiful and peaceful, the flat's furnishings are comfortable and the decor is unusual, full of interesting objects. It was very nice to be welcomed by the students who showed me where everything was. I'd come again like a shot. The stay was too short, but I couldn't make it longer this time.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dorothy (4/5): Disappointing, not as advertised in the pictures, especially the terraces which were unusable! - Vincenzo was very accommodating when we had travel disruption, he also helped booked a taxi for us to get to the airport which was very helpful. We liked the location which is off the usual tourist trail. The bed was comfortable. A lot. The property was not as advertised in the photos. The terraces are undergoing a lot of construction work - the upstairs one was unusable with rubble covered with carpets and broken furniture. The downstairs one had breeze block planters under construction, building materials in the corner and building grit and dust all over the ground - we had to sweep up before we could use it.
The 'secure' entry to the apartment block has to be left open due to a dodgy lock, as does the second gate in the stairwell although the door to the apartment itself is secure. Where others see character, there is just a LOT of clutter and strange parts of the apartment not shown in the pictures which again are full of clutter The curtain in the lounge is ripped and overall it needs a bit of tlc.
The hosts could have told us about the building work before we arrived, but clearly chose not to. There is no way I would have booked this place had accurate pictures been shown, the terraces are the major selling point (or at least were for us) and were utterly disappointing. I wouldn't recommend and am seeking a refund.
- Peter (10/5): A fascinating stay in an authentic Neapolitan rooftop apartment, if you are staying in Naples, you cannot ask for more i - Definitely the most interesting apartment I’ve ever stayed in. The place is filled with genuine artefacts and pieces Neapolitan and Italian history. An unbelievably authentic feel to a place you cannot be anything but amazed by. I felt welcomed and at home the moment I arrived.
There are some wonderful Neapolitan rooftop views from the terrace that will have you staring out to Vesuvius in wonder… also a special mention for Vincenzo who took the time to chat to me about the place and about himself. He was a great representative from the moment I arrived. Thanks Vince 👌
- Mathilde (10/5): Amazing ! - Thanks for everything !
The flat was absolutely amazing, and the terrace magical. Plus, but that’s really personal, we really enjoyed the mood of the appartement, as sociologists and politologs it was amazing to be surrounded by culture.
It’s not a sterile boring appartement so don’t expect brand new ikea furnitures, but it’s a real « lieu de vie » For improvement, almost nothing to say, maybe darker blinds in the bedroom for a little less light and matresses on the terrace.
- Petya (9/5): Memorable, we would return! - We had excellent communication with Vincenzo who welcomed us. The apartment has huge potential. It practically has all the amenities and is in an interesting location. Breathtaking views are revealed from the terrace (or its two levels). The interior is cozy for people like us who love the old setting and history. We had no problems with the WI-fi connection, which we see has low ratings. We were advised by Vincenzo to just reboot and it worked. And since we would love to come back, we will allow ourselves to give some recommendations, with which this apartment can reveal its potential even more.
See below for explanations :) Continuation of above:
The big star of this apartment is the terrace (or terraces, because they are on two levels). After all, we personally (and we assume most people) sacrifice climbing so many stairs to reach the apartment on the top floor (no elevator) precisely because of the breathtaking view from the terrace (especially the upper level). And that's why it's a pity that the terraces are currently not well maintained and neglected (especially their furniture). We very much hope that this is a temporary situation, that a refresh is to come and that this jewel will finally shine with its true brilliance. Also, in our opinion, there should be blinds on the windows to give the option of complete privacy. In the room that combines a bathroom and a toilet, something like a rod was put on the window, which supported an improvised curtain, which often fell, and this was quite inconvenient. As the place has been made with a lot of love and taste, we hope it will be brought back to the same form as people see it in the photos (so that they are also up-to-date again)
- Nikolaos (8/5): Cluttered apartment in the heart of Napoli, with nice terrace view! - The apartment is cluttered like Napoli. It is in the heart of the historical center, close to the archaeological museum and the Metro station Cavour. The terrace offers a nice view over Napoli. Greta was very helpful and responsive and we easily got the keys. The apartment is big, but full of stuff, so the free space is relatively small. No lift! The neighborhood is not touristic at all, but we did not feel like we were in danger at any time. The bed was not very comfortable and the WiFi did not work properly during our stay.
