• Nadine (10/5): - Die Unterkunft hatte eine tolle Lage, die Straße wurde grade gebaut, daher war es ein unbefestigter Bergweg. Die Aussicht war dafür jedoch traumhaft! Der Kontakt via Whatsapp über den Sohn war sehr gut (auf deutsch), seine Mutter nutzt den Google Übersetzter, damit sind wir super zurecht gekommen. Alles war sehr herzlich und das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich.

Parking spaces are available. The fortress ruins are very close by. If I could, I would definitely give it more stars!!! I recommend this place to anyone visiting Berat -

A special mention for the homemade local breakfast, which was delicious and added a very authentic touch to the experience. Overall, a wonderful stay that I would highly recommend.

• Michael (10/5): Atemberaubender Blick über Berati mit sehr herzlicher Gastgeberin - Ein atemberaubender Blick über den Fluss und die Stadt. Wir haben sehr spontan gebucht und wurden sehr herzlich mit Tee und Kaffee begrüßt. Das Zimmer hat einen tollen Balkon, ist ausreichend groß und auch das Bad war gut. Alles sehr sauber & ruhig. Highlight war eine Begehung des Grundstücks sowie ein Welcome-Drink auf dem eigenen Teil der Burgruine mit der sympathischen Gastgeberin und einem unübertroffenem Blick über die Stadt, der in Erinnerung bleibt. Die Konversation gelang gut durch Übersetzungsapps. Zu Fuß ist die Unterkunft über knapp über 200 Stufen von der Hauptstraße erreichbar. Parkplätze stehen auch zur Verfügung. Ein richtig guter Aufenthalt in dieser wunderschönen Umgebung. Das Zimmer könnte mit etwas Farbe und indirekter Beleuchtung ggf. gemütlicher gestaltet werden, aber das wäre nur das Sahnehäubchen. Ansonsten keine Beanstandungen und sehr empfehlenswert.

Con mantas y edredones para que no pases frio. Buenas instalaciones y espacio común. Cerca del castillo hay un camino para ir que és más directo. Para llegar a la casa el caminito es complicado, subida y curva peonunciada. Si no tienes mucha confianza aparcaria el coche por abajo y subiría andando ( son 10mins).

Superbe vue sur le quartier de Gorika. Literie neuve et très confortable, très propre. Petit déjeuner varié et fait maison. Véra est aux petits soins et prête à rendre service à ses hôtes. Parking sur place avec un accès par une allée en pierres ( comme beaucoup de rues de Berat) en cours de rénovation par la ville.

Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. • Lucie (10/5): - Nádherný výhled, večer kdy je most nasvícen je výhled ještě lepší. Úžasná babička (paní domácí), výborné snídaně, nic nebyl problém. Nabízela nám i snídaně speciálně pro mimčo, ale malý si pochutnával na vajíčkách a burku, takže jsme tuto možnost ani nevyužili. Paní domácí ještě při našich odjezdech autem komunikovala s dělníky aby nám cestu uvolnili 😊 Z ubytování vede “zkratka” po schodech dolů do města, takže člověk nemusí jít stejnou dlážděnou/ štěrkovou cestu kterou přijel. Ten výšlap zpět je docela náročný 😁 Ubytování se nachází v prudkém kopci a příjezdová cesta je nic moc (vysoké kostky a štěrk) - ale s tím jsme počítali i na základě předchozích recenzí, každopádně ne každé auto tam dokáže vyjet. Při našem pobytu ještě probíhala úprava svahu na příjezdové cestě, takže cesta byla o to horší + zde byla stavební technika, ale poradili jsme si. WiFi byla slabší, ale měli jsme místní SIM, takže nám to vůbec nevadilo.

We received a simple but delicious breakfast, every morning something different, made from local ingredients. We liked the authenticity of the place. Great for this price. The internet was poor. At least we could spend our time reading and talking instead of scrolling on the phone. So it is good and bad at the same time.

• Fabien (8/5): Super guest house - Hôte très attentionnée et gentille. Nous avons été accueillis avec un café et un raki. La proximité du centre ville est un plus. Certains commentaires expliquaient que l'accès pour monter en voiture était escarpé. Ce qui est vrai. Mais c'est faisable. (Conseil : prenez une voiture à boîte automatique à votre arrivée dans le pays). Le petit déjeuner était copieux et varié. Très bonne expérience. Le wifi un peu faible dans la chambre. Il faut se mettre sur le palier pour mieux capter. Des chiens aboient la nuit. Cela peut incommoder celles et ceux qui ont le sommeil plus léger.

Pontos útmutatást kaptunk a szállás megközelítéséhez. Ez nem a háziak miatt volt de az érkezésünk előtt hatalmas eső volt, az utat helyenként kimosta a víz, így kicsit rémisztő volt a feljutás a szállásig. Egyébként is ajánlatos Albániában a 4x4 automata crossover kocsit bérelni.

• JenniferMücke (6/5): Herzliche Gastgeber, der Rest erfüllte leider nicht unsere Erwartungen - Die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich. Der Gastgeber und seine Mutter waren sehr bemüht. Das Zimmer (Nr.4) hatte keinen eigenen Balkon. Wir mussten uns den kleinen Balkon mit einem anderen Pärchen teilen (nur Plastikmöbel). Nur der Nachbarbalkon konnte das Licht ein/ausschalten, als die ins Bett gegangen sind, mussten wir wohl auch ins Bett. Die Aussicht ist eigentlich nur von einer Seite richtig zu sehen, unser Balkon war leider nur seitlich davon. Die Küche hatte kaum Utensilien und alles war relativ schmierig. Das Zimmer war sehr ungemütlich eingerichtet. Es gab sowas wie einen Schrank ohne Kleiderstange und Türen. Daneben ein Kinderbett, beides relativ nutzlos. Dann noch ein Plastiktisch mit 2 Stühlen. Neben einer Seite des Bettes stand statt eines Nachttisches ein brummender Kühlschrank. Es gab nur ein große Deckenleuchte. Wir habdn über den TV bei Youtube immer "Licht" angemacht, um abends angenehmes Licht zu haben. Badezimmer relativ klein und trotz offenem Fenster herrschte ein unangenehmer Geruch. Nacht bellt ständig ein kleiner Hund, der etwas weiter die Straße runter wohnt. Die Auffahrt hoch ist nicht so toll, aber machbar. Allerdings muss man den Weg auch jeden Tag hoch und runter laufen wenn man was unternehmen will. Fanden wir nicht so toll.

• Marta (10/5): Powrót gwarantowany - Fantastyczny kontakt z zarządcą, pomoc w obsłudze auta na stromej i śliskiej drodze (wielka wdzięcznośc!!!), mama zrobiła nam śniadanie na wynos na wypad w góry; wstała o 4.00 rano, żebyśmy mogli wyruszyć wcześnie (zarządca o 7.30 pomógł nam sprowadzić auto na dół po stromiźnie). Niezwykle sympatyczny i komunikatywny człowiek. Jedzenie pyszne i obfite. Mała kuchenka pierwszej potrzeby. Wysoko jest, ale nie ma tego złego, co by nie wyszło na dobre - do zamku górującego nad miastem idzie się spacerkiem w górę tylko ok. 10 min. Przekazałam swoje mikro uwagi na temat wyposażenia bezpośrednio właścicielowi, przyjął je z wdzięcznością i już są nieaktualne :)

Très bien situé pour visiter à pieds les différents quartiers et il y a un sentier près du logement pour grimper au château. Nous recommandons fortement cet endroit pour un arrêt à Berat.

• Àlex (10/5): Agosto 2025 - La amabilidad del personal es excelente, por la mañana la propietaria nos trajó un desayuno riquísimo a la habitación. Habitación sin ruido y con unas vistas que son una maravilla!! Se puede ver toda la ciudad y por la noche puedes cenar tranquilamente disfrutando del momento. Muchas gracias por la estancia. Por contra, el hotel se encuentra arriba del todo de una cuesta con un camino de piedras y tierra difícil de subir si no llevas un coche grande. Aún así, está a 5 minutos del centro en coche y unos 20 minutos andando.

The highlight of our stay was without a doubt the incredibly kind and helpful owners. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and went out of their way to assist us with anything we needed — always quickly, pleasantly, and with a smile. Their hospitality truly made our visit special. The villa itself has an amazing view over Berat, and the room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with air conditioning. We also loved the private balcony, which offered stunning views, especially at sunset. Another big plus is the private parking, which made everything super convenient. The only thing to note is that it’s about a 12–15 minute walk from the city center

They were super attentive and extremely friendly and helpful - especially when the taxi driver refused to drop us to the Vila door and left us with our bags at the very bottom, Eno helped carry our bags all the way to the top in the scorching heat! We also couldn’t find a taxi to take us back to our hotel in Vlorë and Eno went out of his way to drop us back to our hotel. He is super caring and super helpful. The service provided to us was beyound our expectations and Eno and his family made us feel like we were at home! I will definitely come back to visit again. The rooms were very spacious and clean. All rooms have air-conditioning units which was very much needed in the heat. The Bathrooms were extremely clean and spacious, which is what we were looking for as majority of the hotel options in Berat had very small bathrooms. This was certainly not the case for Vila Luen. We opted for Breakfast to be provided and did not regret it one bit as the food was very fresh and tasted amazing - eggs were fresh from the chickens they have! The views from the rooms are breathtakingly spectacular. We had the views of the Gorica Bridge and Mangalem Neighbourhood. Waking up to the panoramic views was a just mind blowing - the mountains, buildings and landmarks - whether it’s in the morning, evening or night, it will still take your breath away. They grow lots of fruits and veg so the aromas from the lemon trees was so refreshing. If you are Muslim, this is a great location to book as there are many halal food places nearby such as Wildor Resturant (Chef Toska) and Eni Traditional food. If anyone looking to book for a villa experience in Berat I would definitely recommend Villa Luen. There wasn’t much not to like about this Vila, but the only one slight suggestion we would make is having long mirrors in each of the rooms or even at least one in the living room. The only mirror provided was in the bathroom which we only could see our face and top halves of ourselves. (Which was not a big issue)

• Marcin (10/5): Wonderful view with an even better host. - The view was gorgeous! The host was gracious and went out his way to be accommodating. Breakfast was brought to our room at the time we requested and exceeded our expectations. It was a traditional Albanian experience with modern amenities and finishes. Be careful if you have a low suspension car on the way up to the location. It was doable in our Volkswagen Golf.
• Gonçalo (9/5): Our best price-quality accomodation in Albania although difficult to reach - - The host was very nice and available. - The room was practically new, comfortable and clean. - The room had a balcony looking over the old bridge and town - The rooms are in the house of the host but on the first floor. Privacy was not an issue. - A traditional breakfast was included - AC on the bedroom and fridge with water bottles were great - Hair dryer is available - The road to reach the house was steep and poorly maintained. We tried but gave up when we reached a big hole. With that said, the host promptly offered to pick us up from the main road.
• Danielle (10/5): Amazing place, great location, we loved our stay here! - We took a chance on this place, and it turned out to be absolutely fantastic! The view of Berat is nothing short of phenomenal, and the hospitality is second to none. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious. I couldn't recommend this place more. It's a little tricky to get to if you are driving. The road is steep, narrow and not very well maintained. It might be worth parking somewhere else and walking. It's not far from the old town.
• Demiraj (10/5): Exceptional - it was something very beautiful,,, the bed was very comfortable,,, the room was very clean and so was the toilet,,, because the balcony of the house had a very amazing view,,, the hosts were very friendly,, where in the morning there was no shortage of coffee with croissant,,, everything was perfect....
