Guest Reviews
- mark (10/5): Totally perfect place to stay had everything we needed and location was amazing - Its location was amazing Just felt it needed a comfy sofa but that’s being really picky
- Monique (10/5): -
- Doris (9/5): I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it. You can't beat the location and the place is a pleasu - The apartment was very attractive, clean and comfortable. It was in a great location. The only complaint was that you could hear the neighbor upstairs walking around at all hours.
- Aleksandra (10/5): Beautiful apartment, located in city center of Rome with great service and really good and fast contact with owner. - Interior style and perfect location in the city center of Rome. Everything was perfect!
- James (10/5): It was a delightful piece of Rome - We loved the feel of the apartment. Very inviting with a nice living room small kitchen area and bedroom. The location was PERFECT. Close to everything we wanted to see. Very close to Pantheon. Sometimes it was a little hard to find for some can and Uber drivers to find. But it worked out fine
- Bangchao (4/5): - 房间里有小飞虫,还有霉味儿,楼下出入口很大的垃圾桶,味道很不好
- Sothy (7/5): Short stay in Rome to visit around the city centre - Very well located in the centre of Rome, with attractions to visit nearby. Parental suite very quiet at night. More adapted for a couple than for a family as the child will sleep in the couch. Noisy in the living room for the person who will sleep in the couch. Small kitchen that is not convenient for cooking but good enough for breakfast.
- Danilo (10/5): Relax ed arte in centro storico - Posto delizioso arredato in modo artistico e poetico
Ben collegato. Pieno di comodità. Pulitissimo. L'host gentile e comunicativo. Ho trovato disponibilità e tranquillità. Molto bene, anzi benissimo. Straconsigliato! Grazie a presto Nulla
- Hana (10/5): Truly exceptional - A great location right next to the Pantheon and a lot of restaurants and shops and just general Rome center. The appartment is beautiful and it feels like being part of Rome staying there. With the shutters closed there is complete darkness so sleep was great, the host left us presents and lots of suggestions. We loved it. As it is an old building with wooden ceilings, the floors creak, so you can hear neighbors walking upstairs. But its part of the charm of an ancient building

- Maria del Pilar (8/5): Muy buen apartamento - La ubicación
- Àngels (10/5): -
- Dat (7/5): Located in the centre of Rome, walking distance to all the famous tourist sites. Plus bonus is there is a good restauran - Clean and great location. N/A
- Michael (8/5): Location and charm - Neat little apartment in the heart of Rome. Has a lot of character, great for a couple with separate living area.
If staying here use the keypad on the left of the entrance door to access keys, not the right. We missed this bit :( The bathroom/shower/toilet is in the bedroom hence consider this if sharing with a 3rd traveller using the sofa bed in the living area.
- Kitiya (8/5): - near Patheon not new not clean
- Stine (8/5): -
- Effie (10/5): Stylish, elegant and great location . - The property was stylish, clean and amazing decor. Fantastic location to restaurants, shopping and sight seeing . Very helpful host.

- Amol (9/5): Overall we would highly recommend this accommodation - The location was just perfect and close to everything. We walked to every place we wanted to see. The square had everything we needed from a supermarket to a lovely restaurant just downstairs. The apartment was very clean. The hosts left us a cake as a gift which we would like to thank them for. We didn’t really use the kitchen too much so can’t comment on what was there, however we were grateful to have the fridge at least. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows weren’t bad either. The bathroom was on the small side but we got by okay. My daughter slept on the sofa bed in the lounge which was comfortable enough for her. We would say this accommodation is suited to two people as the noise from the upstairs neighbours is quite loud in the lounge. They got up early each day and stomped around. Also despite closing the shutters, the lounge didn’t get too dark but this is very much a personal preference. The decor is quite something but again it looked exactly like the photos and this too is a very personal preference.

- Susanna (10/5): We will be back for sure! Thank you for this unforgettable experience! - Everything was phenomenal! The host, the location, the cleanliness, the historical charm, and the service. The host was incredibly caring and supportive. My daughter was exhausted from the international travel, and the host did everything in his power to accommodate the check-in ahead of regular time. Even the check-out was a smooth experience. The location is fantastic: right in the center of the city, yet very calm and peaceful, with easy access to all the main attractions. My family lived in Rome for many years, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover this authentic gem in the heart of the Eternal City. Highly recommended, if you are looking for an exceptional location and impeccable service, do not miss it! Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Zimmerman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacob (8/5): Excellent location, spacious apartment, with a few minor improvements needed - Positives -
(1) This apartment is in a perfect, central location of Rome!
(2) The area is safe and the apartment is tucked in a cute little plaza.
(3) Super accessible to get to everything you’d want to see in Rome by foot (if you’re up for walking an average of 20-45 mins).
(4) The host did a wonderful job at providing clear instructions via WhatsApp as to how to access the building main entrance, the interior gate & the front door to the apartment. Even though it was hard to understand the audio in the videos, you can decipher fine enough by watching the steps he takes for each video. Make sure to use the same key for turning on the lights when inside the apartment.
(5) We appreciated that our host was able to communicate with us in English via videos and text messages.
(6) The place itself is very spacious for 2 people & the interior design is fun.
Great place for a couple or pair of friends. Only a few negatives, which I have listed below… Negatives -
(1) the bathroom does not ventilate well; there is no working fan or window to open. After showering it stays misty and humid in the bathroom & bedroom. This doesn’t necessarily make it musty, but it would be nicer to have a working fan to circulate the air.
(2) the apartment needs a good deep clean; it’s mostly clean but the floors made the bottom of our feet super dirty so we had to wear socks inside. Also, the couch, decorative pillows, leather chairs, headboard, etc. don’t appear to have had a deep clean in quite some time. Otherwise, everything is clean enough for a nice stay.
(3) nothing the host can fix about this, mostly an FYI, but you can hear the neighbors walking around upstairs squeaking the ceiling. So if they got up at 5 AM, so did I. It’s just what is going to happen when occupying an older building.
- Marek (10/5): very pleasent - Quite place but very well situated to access the historical place in foot
- Ben (10/5): Wonderful! Lovely host! - I liked how close it was to all of the tourist sites. There were noisy upstair neighbors, but other than that I have no complaints.
- Kate (10/5): Lovely, comfy apartment in a fabulous location for exploring Rome on foot - A lovely apartment in an absolutely perfect location. Friendly, helpful host and wonderful restaurant and coffee shop around the corner. We were able to walk to all the major sites. Entirely recommend.
- Clark (10/5): Exceeded expectations -
- Melanie (8/5): Clean and spacious and close to the action. - Great location just a short walk from the pantheon. Smooth check in and check out. Spacious and very clean. I think the apartment could benefit from a larger TV! And the addition of a toaster would be great but overall a fab place, would book again.
- Zoya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miloš (9/5): Pantheon Carravagio's house is a lovely appartmant at the great location - The appartmant is in a great location, very close to Pantheon. It was clean and had everything we needed. The owner greeted us, and was very polite and helpful.
We liked our stay at Pantheon Carravagio's house very much, and we would recommend it to everyone. It has it's downsides, which I will write bellow, but nothing that can ruin your stay. There were few stuff we didn't really like, but nothing too special.
First thing I would suggest, is that owner or the property managment should learn at least some english, as you are working with tourists from all around the world, not everyone knows Italian language.
The only complaint we have is to the property management. At first we were told by property management in booking chats, that they can arrange us an Airport transport. When we were close to the date of the stay, we asked for them to arrange us an airport transfer to the appartmant, they said that it was a misunderstanding, and that they only do this on check-out. And at the end, before the check-out, we asked if they can arrange a taxi to the airport for us at the front of the building at specific time, few hours after checkout, they told us that they do not do that, and we should do it ourselfs.
It's good that there is taxi.booking.com, which saved us both times.
Our suggestion to the owner, change the aggency that manages the property.
Now, this is something that no one can do anything about, but it was an unpleasent experience for us.
Someone was playing with the bell at the front door of the building at the middle of the night, almost every night.
- Pedro (10/5): Perfect apartment for visiting Rome - Small, comfortable and very nice apartment. Excellent modern bathroom. Has a small kitchen, fridge and all you may need to cook your breakfast each morning.
It came with coffee, tea, biscuits, sweeties and a bottle of wine!.
Outstanding location in a quiet alley, very close to the Pantheon, (3-4 minute walk), and in a perfect location for getting to most places you would want to see in Rome.
In a great area to walk around the streets with lots of places for eating nearby. Short walk to taxi stand and grocery store.
The host sent us several videos indicating how to enter the house, use the locking mechanism to get the keys and use the power switch. The sofa bed is a bit uncomfortable for 3rd guest.
- Frank (10/5): It was superb! - It was very comfortable. The location was perfect to get to all the various sites. It was in a great area to walk around the streets and alley ways. The apartment had all we needed to cook our breakfast each morning. A great place for our three day stay in Rome!!
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional - Location was excellent and a 3 minute walk to the Pantheon. The apartment is beautiful and filled with amazing reproduction of Carvaggio art. Everything was perfectly appointed. AC worked well and host was very gracious and accommodating. We enjoyed our 2 nights there.
- Eileen (8/5): Best for a couple only. - Location, cleanliness. The sofa bed uncomfortable for 3rd adult guest. Luckily it was for just 1 night.
- Anna (9/5): Fantastic characterful apartment! - Lovely little apartment- great location. Charming atmosphere. Excellent modern bathroom. Great communication with the host. Convenient luggage storage facilities just in the same square if you arrive a bit too early (as we did). One set of keys including the electricity key is a bit restrictive - as it means if one person goes out for a walk/to get a coffee then the electricity is off in the apartment for the people that remain. It is a very minor issue, but a small irritant.
- Ahren (10/5): Romantic, charming, excellent location - Beautifully decorated, clean apartment tucked into a quiet alley a short walk away from the Pantheon and numerous other worthwhile attractions. Short walk to taxi stand and grocery store. Excellent restaurants nearby. Perfect location for a romantic retreat for a couple. AC kept us cool and comfortable. The kind host greeted us, gave us a short tour and gifted us a bottle of wine. Obvious care and attention to detail went into maintaining this recommended property. Would definitely stay here again. The locking mechanism on the door is a little tricky at first.
- Christian (9/5): It was fun in da sun - The host was nice and sent nice messages. Cool paintings. Good coffee. Very Roma
- Chelsea (3/5): Worst Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. - Location was ok. That is it. This place was terrible otherwise. Trust me- you do not want to stay here. This Airbnb experience was one of our worst experiences ever. The ‘apartment’ was tiny. The bathroom was tiny - the shower was so small my husband could barely fit inside. We were only given 1 bath towel each for a 6 day stay and they couldn’t dry in the apartment so we were forced to use damp towels all week. The bathroom and shower weren’t clean on our arrival - hairs and grime everywhere. The toothbrush holder was filthy and had old layers of dirt stuck at the bottom. The shower leaked. The doors didn’t close properly. We had to purchase toilet paper because the owner left us with 2 tiny rolls for 6 days. The AC made horrible noise all night and kept us awake all night. We were woken up every morning at 5.30-6am by the loud upstairs neighbors talking, stomping around, going to the toilet- it was so bad we had to buy earplugs to survive this horrible stay. The coffee machine had mold/algae growing on the inside of the water compartment and was a serious health hazard. The furniture was in terrible condition. Very very old, unstable and worn out looking. Cushions on the sofa were flat and lifeless. The duvet on the bed was brown and stained all over and we removed it because of our concerns with its cleanliness. The closet was tiny and couldn’t fold items or hang trousers / long dresses. Our clothes had to remain in our bags all week due to lack of space. There were 4 large trash cans at the entrance to the building that smelt of rotten food constantly and we felt sick coming and going. The front door key kept on getting jammed and we were locked outside twice during our stay-had to fiddle with the key and lock for 20mins or more to get inside. Lastly, when I let the owner know some of the issues we were having, he became irritated, rude and unprofessional over text which made the whole stay even worse.
- Priyamvada (9/5): lovely property with a very friendly host. - The location is excellent. Nothing
- Vas (6/5): Location was great, but the property wasn't value for money - Good location close to pantheon. Very pleasant host Small bathroom and extremely small shower. The apartment overall was very small, compact and a little dated. For the first 2 nights there was scheduled works during the night directly outside the building that kept us awake which we wasn’t warned about. We also had to leave a €200 cash deposit for the art work which was completly unwarranted
- Kelsey (8/5): Lovely stay, it suited our needs - Great location for major attractions. Thoughtful touches and a nice size for a couple. It was comfortable. The check in process was a little convoluted. We had a few issues getting the door lock and key to work, but with practice eventually got it. We also had to leave a $200 deposit up front, which is normally fine but we had a few issues getting it back from the host the day we checked out. Suffice to say we did get it back, but if you plan to leave early the day of your departure, tell the host up front. Or perhaps the host could use PayPal or some other system to exchange money.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monika (9/5): location location location - the location was perfect; probably the best neighborhood in Rome.
the bedroom was very quiet. only cons : the couch (which doubles as a bed) was uncomfortable
- Holly (7/5): Perfect location, pleasant apartment, very comfortable bed but some helpful ammenities were missing and the shower cubic - The location was perfect and had easy access to everything we wanted.
The bed was very comfortable.
The apartment has a pleasant feel about it and it was clean.
The apartment is nicely presented. The shower cubicle is tiny - it makes it extremely difficult to use comfortably.
The lounge area was not that comfortable and the only television was in the bedroom.
Facilities in the kitchen were not ideal (e.g, there were no mugs - only small cups, there were no wine glasses and there were no teaspoons).
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Haris (10/5): A great stay in the heart of Rome - It is a great location, 15-20 minutes walk from all major Rome's points. The groceries, market place, pizza and pasta restaurants, high-end and low-end shopping - all very close. It is a cozy apartment in the heart of Rome, yet secluded.
- John (7/5): Enjoyable stay. But disappointed by no hot water on leaving day. Also, heating inadequate - self catering no hot water at 6.30am on last day
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louis (8/5): Very good -
- Kelli (10/5): The place was everything we needed for an overnight stay in Rome. Excellent location! - Great location. Loved the wine and bevs in the fridge waiting for us. N/A
- Walter (10/5): The manager went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. I would book again in a heartbeat. - Exactly as it looks in the photograph me. Central location to all of Rome and the Pantheon. Quiet and comfortable. Nothing. Loved it all.
- Linda (9/5): Great experience and highly recommended to other travellers. - The property was very beautiful. We enjoyed the classic feel of the apartment. The location was outstanding, just a very short walk away from the Pantheon and a lot of the other attractions Rome has to offer.
- Jh (10/5): A delightful stay in a beautiful part of Rome. A special apartment. - The host Gianmaria is delightful. He was so considerate and helpful. Even to the point of driving us to the station as he was concerned we might have trouble getting a taxi.
- Monier (10/5): What a beautiful place in a brilliant location in the heart of Rome. - Excellent location, very comfortable bed and nice decoration.
- Anonymous (10/5): perfect location - amazing location, very comfortable, clean, and sympathetically styled. nothing, it was great!
- Guy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madeleine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): perfect apartment, classic italian location, clean snd comfortable and would totally recomnend. - location was perfect, a stones throw from the Pantheon. Apartment was as pictured abd furnished well. host was polite abdvtge room came with a Coffee machine, coffee, italian biscuits, sweeties and a bottke of Prosecco.
it was clean and very classically italian. no iron to press clothes.
- Janet (10/5): Beautiful, ornate little apartment in great location - Immaculate little apartment with a fabulous location about 6 min from the Pantheon and maybe 12 min from the Trevi fountain. Gorgeous artwork and incredibly comfortable bed. Our stay included 3 adults. There was enough room but the apartment would be best suited to a couple. The bathroom is functional but tiny. I can’t remember if there is a television.
