My room overlooked the street so I had good natural light as well. The breakfast had quite a few different savoury and sweet options which was nice.

Monira (10/5): I give this place a resounding 10+. It’s hands-down my best hotel experience in Turkey! I stayed at two different hotels - the staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, providing top-notch customer service. The cleanliness of the facilities was impressive, Additionally, the location was ideal. Overall, the ambiance and the amenities really contributed to an enjoyable experience. Just a few drawbacks. There was a subtle, lingering smell from the bathroom that seemed to stem from the sewage system, which could occasionally be quite strong smell even with the bathroom door was closed, although the smell went away quickly. Additionally, the vibrant nightlife in the area meant loud music from nearby nightclubs. However, this might not be an issue for those looking for a lively atmosphere or for deep sleepers like myself.
Rustam (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent hotel, the staff is very friendly, helped with absolutely everything, the rooms are spacious and most importantly clean, the breakfast was very tasty and varied.

Sandra (4/5): Disappointing - Ladies in the kitchen. Almost everything was terrible. The room was in the basement! Which was impossible to deduce by the description or photos. At least I couldn't. Moulded and smelly. With no window. The noise in the street was terrible. All night!!! Turned out it's a party street. 🥴😬 The host was hard to catch. He was always smoking in the street. Didn't have enough space in our place for breakfast, so we had to go to another hotel opposite ours. It was also in the basement!!! Though, I must admit, the ladies workig there were nice. The nicest of all!!!!! The hosts helped us to find a taxi. Though.. It was definitely not of the goodness of their hearts. But for a good pay.
Tornike (6/5): Good for short stays between Taksim and Galata - Helpful staff, excellent location, the terrace room was spacious, easy to find, elevator available The reception area is cramped, breakfast was atrocious, noise can be too much both from the nearby bars and neighbouring rooms, the toilet and cabin need to be repaired as there was smell and water blockage issue

Annalisa (7/5): Good location and breakfast for budget room - Breakfast was really nice, location too. Also they change towels without requesting. Price is also good, considering breakfast included. But I had higher expectations given the very high rating. The room could be better. There is not a lot of space between the wall and the bed. The mattress in our room was broken on one side. Also the bathroom does not have a nice smell. Finally there is a lot of noise coming from the street at night, because it is in front of a club. But that's the price to pay when you live in a lively district of Istanbul.

Saba (4/5): basement 2 single beds not recommended at all. - the breakfast was limited but for the price ok. we had the single beds in the basement room. it smells very wet and is damp. there were moths. the some facilities were semi broken

Our room was in -1 floor, without possibility to look outside. Strange smell, something like there is some moisture in room.

Ulviyya (7/5): Good for a short stay - The location is very convenient - the hotel is located 2 minutes by walk from the main walking street at Taksim. The administration of the hotel is very welcoming. In general, the hotel looks nice and clean. The room is small, and it’s hard to imagine staying there for longer time - but one night we stayed was fine. It’s almost impossible to ventilate the room as the window is facing the wall.
Azordeh (7/5): Normal and higher than that - Great location, just a couple steps to Istiklal Street and there are a lot of restaurants and supermarkets around there also their staffs are so nice and they have a cute cat and there is a elevator and their breakfast is ok We stay in two rooms first one was the third floor and the second one was on the basement unfortunately they don't have a fridge in the rooms also you can't pay by your credit or Visa card so you need cash and the basement room is not a good room at all there are humidity there and their toilets are stink also there is no window there so it's like a prison don't go there but other floors was ok

First, I did not like the beds. They were too soft. Second, it was so noisy in the midnight because of nightclubs. It would a good option for those who likes nightclubs and musics.

Breakfast was delicious, and the reception kitty was an absolute sweetheart. The place could be a bit cleaner, especially the bathroom. The noise from nearby clubs was excessive, but the provided earplugs helped. A designated smoking area could improve the situation with the drunk, seemingly aggressive people from the streets.

The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Our room and the shared spaces were always spotless, which made for a comfortable and relaxing environment. And we can’t forget to mention the adorable little kitten that lives at the hotel! It brought a smile to our faces every time we saw it, adding such a charming touch to our stay. Overall, the Grand Rafinn Hotel provided a wonderful experience, and we’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul. We felt at home the entire time and look forward to returning in the future!

Friendly staff, guys who are ready to help with any question and are always at the reception. I was also surprised that this price even includes breakfast, and it was very tasty. Lots of books that you can take to the room and read (for book lovers). I can say with confidence that in terms of price/quality you will not find a better hotel nearby.
