Guest Reviews
- Alyson (9/5): -
- Jenny (8/5): A pleasant, comfortable and quiet space. - On arrival, the key box was fiddly to open, however a phone call resolved things quickly and Maria kindly made sure I was able to park my hire car off street throughout my stay. On departure, the key box was again tricky. The location of the microwave in a kitchen cupboard was difficult for me to lift down to the bench and then return to the cupboard upon departure.
The curtain rod in the bedroom was loose and fell when I opened the curtain when I was preparing to leave. I managed to put the rod back in place however it was a bit tricky as I had to use a chair which was a bit challenging.

- Louise (9/5): - Perfect for what we needed, great for pets, clean and close to a cafe in walking distance to beach 1km. Ease of accessing the cottage without face to face consultation
- Johnathan (3/5): Frustrating - Nice decor I had to contact the owner 6 times to get access to wifi & I called booking.com twice about the wifi & loud music till 2am on Friday night
- Liane (10/5): Peaceful, clean little hideaway. - Self contained clean villa. Close to amenities and walking distance to One Mile Beach
- Donna (8/5): Over all is a good place to stay - Clean and spacious Inconvenience to get in and out as sharing the car port or driveways with the owner. Also have to use Netflix account for TV
- Kyle (3/5): -
- Lily (8/5): -
- Joel (8/5): -
- Geoff (5/5): - Kettle dirty did not use
TV had no free to air reception
Garbage bin in courtyard no emptied
Hygiene bin not emptied
Bed not made up
- Mark (8/5): Away from the hustle of the main town, quiet and only a 15 min walk to beaches - Nice little ‘granny flat’ with everything we needed Not a deal breaker but very disappointed not to have internet and therefore no tv. (Free to air required internet via the channel app).
No instructions on how to use stove etc.
- LYNETTE (8/5): Excellent location to the beach and golf course with everything we needed for a weekend stay. - Location great except neighbours very noisy Confusion about where kwy box was and had to phone neighbour for help
- john (10/5): Good -
- Louise (6/5): Great location, could be a great accomodation if some of the little things can be considered, they are what makes a stay - The location was good and it was clear the owners had made an effort to put this accomodation together The property is dog friendly, sadly when we arrived when we opened the door the smell of dogs was very strong, we do not have a dog.
Although care had been taken in many things in the property small things were missing: no tea towels, washing liquid was empty, body wash was empty, no coffee machine and only instant or decaf coffee available, we were told there was a great coffee shop just down the road and it must have been great as the lines were so long both days we stayed we left and got coffee elsewhere,
- Sally (8/5): A great , comfortable stay . - Beautifully presented with everything you needed
- Arezou (8/5): - Quiet, good location, easy parking, pet friendly, comfortable.
- Jill (9/5): - The courtyard for the dogs was great.
- Paige (10/5): Great little place - Cute place, parking out front, good spot Only tvs in the bedrooms
- Robyn (10/5): We would stay again - Good location near beach and Club Forster. Very clean and well set up.
Bed was very comfortable Everything was great
- David (8/5): Nice unit in Forester for couple plus doggie. - Good clean comfortable unit with easy access. Good value for money. Loved the owners dog which was very friendly to mine! nothing
- Kellie (9/5): Beautifully decorated hideaway - Well above expectations with a full kitchen lounge and bathroom, very clean and very well decorated A little uncertain we were walking down the right driveway initially, nothing to indicate it was a booking place and I was nervous I was walking into a neighbours accidentally
- Brendan (8/5): Would stay again - Comfortable, close to activities and reasonably priced
- Sonia (10/5): Mango Cottage is truly a hidden gem – quiet, stunningly appointed, and pure bliss from start to finish. - Our stay at Mango Cottage was absolutely perfect. The setting is peaceful and beautifully maintained, making it the ideal place to unwind and recharge. We especially loved that it’s dog friendly—our pup was as relaxed and happy as we were! Every detail inside the cottage felt thoughtfully designed – from the stylish décor to the comfortable furnishings and spotless presentation. The space is both luxurious and welcoming, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. We loved waking up to birdsong, enjoying coffee on the veranda, and soaking in the tranquil surroundings. Nothing
- Melanie (9/5): The best place to stay with your fur babies. - A great apartment in a beautiful town. And best of all that we could share it with our dogs. It’s hard to get nice accomodation that allows pets and the cottage is perfectly set up for it. A magical stay. Nothing, it was excellent.
- Daryl (10/5): - Thank you for welcoming us to Mango Tree Cottage. It was an absolute joy to arrive there after a long drive. Picture perfect, well-appointed, private, secure, beautifully clean, delightful bed and bedding, and blissfully quiet. Oh, and our four legged baby, Willow, loved it too! We hope to return for a longer stay the next time we travel north.
- Barb (7/5): - everything stove didnt and the noise of the neighbours
- Luke (9/5): -
- Vicky (6/5): - Good location, tidy, clean & semi comfortable.....great washing machine and dishwasher but no iron! The bedroom patio door did not open onto the small outside couch which was covered with leaves anyway!
There was one fairly uncomfortable couch in the large living room with no other comfy chairs so my family/guests could come for a glass of wine.
I did not meet the host but was aware she was watching me as I received an email one of the days telling me not to leave the light on in the bathroom at night. I actually did not/would not leave it on all night. I did get up to use the bathroom and had the light on then however?
There was no outside light if you were coming home after dark so I left the inside lamp on so I could see.
All in all I would stay there again but would expect, as a courtesy, to meet the host.

- Rhonda (9/5): - Clean modern ,good location
- Samantha (10/5): Excellent accommodation. Spacious, very clean, well equipped and great location. Highly recommend. - Excellent place to stay in beautiful Forster. The property is really lovely and tranquil, spacious, super clean and had everything you need. Easy parking and key collection. Situated close to wonderful beaches and bush walks. Also allowed us to bring our dog which was great! We will return for sure.

- Carolyn (8/5): A great place to stopover with our dog. Had everything we needed and a great alternative to a motel room. -
- gregory (10/5): Perfect for overnight stays - This place was amazing and perfect for our stay with our dog
Quiet ,clean easy access close to town .
- Justin (5/5): Clean. Comfortable. Better value had elsewhere. Would return but suggest more effort. - Comfortable and clean WiFi was intermittent. Always makes me laugh when people say “… it’s ok for me!” Doesn’t change the fact it’s not working for the guest.
Challenging to find the house number
Not “set” to welcome the arrival, eg. Heater on, lights to see the key lock etc…
Gate not easily secured for dog.
Handful of open teabags. Would prefer sealed items.
- Fay (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for us travelling with small dog. Lovely bright airy accommodation with secure yard & parking. Everything was immaculate. Would suggest some instructions left for stove & TV. Not big problem but some instructions would have saved some frustration
- Jane (8/5): Comfy and cosy place to sleep and relax - Very relaxing, cosy little place with everything you need for a few nights. I think the host has taken previous feedback from guests on board. The shower pressure was great. The bed was comfy. Wifi was fine while streaming on the TV. Milk in the fridge plus a few teas and other bits and pieces. Swoop cafe is walking distance and very nice. As others have said, the couch is a bit uncomfortable. But overall it’s a very nice, well considered place — and good value.
- Tanmay (10/5): Exceptional - It was very clean, easy access, and beautiful place.
It had all basic amenities. The place was peaceful and just what we had hoped for. Everything was great.

- Cherie (9/5): Beautiful, tranquil place to relax and stay for the night, with my little doggie friend Beau. - Our host was there to greet us at the property. Very polite and kind in giving us directions to the shop and food stores.
The cottage was clean and very tidy with everything you needed in the kitchen area. Nothing really, it was a great stay over night in a nice quite street..
- Chapman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (10/5): Super comfortable, nicely appointed little granny flat. - Super comfortable, nicely appointed little granny flat with independent entrance and sunny courtyard. Just a short drive to the centre of town and only a 5 minute walk to an excellent cafe. An added bonus for us was that we could bring our dog.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Perfect location perfect property - The house was absolutely amazing. The property was super clean. Everything that you needed.
My little fur baby loved it
- Adrian (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for our stay.
- Lachlan (9/5): Perfect location for a beach getaway! - The location was in the heart of Forster and just a couple minute drive away from One Mile Beach - Perfect!
- James (10/5): absolutely loved it. great spot, certainly will be back many more times to come. -
- Koebi (9/5): Prefect little get away. - Location was perfect, it had everything we needed and felt very homely. Being able to bring our dogs along just topped it off! Would definitely stay again. The toilet blocked and once we informed the landlord we didn't receive any assistance with it. The plumbing definitely seemed to have issues as the sink in the bathroom didn't empty very fast either.
- Teniele (6/5): It was fine for a short stay. - Quiet and peaceful Cleanliness. Bathroom hadn’t been completely cleaned as there was stains in the toilet and hair in the shower (see pictures(. Courtyard was untidy and dirty.
- Breanna (1/5): Bad -
- Lawrence (9/5): Except for the music it was excellent - It is a very nice apartment
It was very clean
The rooms were to a high standard and we would certainly stay there again There was very loud music coming from the main house and the base boomed until fairly late
- Lyn (9/5): It was a lovely quick stay - Quiet and comfortable and nicely decorated and modern Nothing
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Lana (8/5): Very good -
- Jaimee-lee (9/5): Absolutely fantastic location, cute, clean beachy vibe. -
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional - Such a cute and comfortable cottage. Great location with a lovely courtyard that opens out from the living area and parking is at the door. Everything is so lovely and the bed is very comfortable and cosy.
The area is quiet with no traffic noise, just beautiful bird songs to wake up to! Absolutely delightful 😊
- Dianne (7/5): Clean, tidy handy to town. - Only teabags (6) provided n long life milk-nothing more! A little disappointed since other b &bs we have used have provided bread, eggs n condiments for breakfast, n fruit, especially since we’d travelled 6 hrs to get there. 2 mugs would have been nice (only one there) n 2 soup mugs, 1/2 roll of toilet paper (n none in any cupboard), no bath mat or even a cloth to wipe benches down , a sharp knife would also be helpful. Also inside kitchen bin still contained rubbish.
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heidi (8/5): Very good - Location worked for us, hope to return in the New Year Air Conditioner would be fab
- Robert (7/5): Good - Very comfortable bed.
- Jonathan (2/5): Cannot recommend! - Dog-friendly, fairly clean and well-lit. No microwave.
TV didn't work on live TV and didn't stream as WiFi was too slow. So non-functional TV.
No aircon
No ceiling fan in bedroom
No hairdryer
No dryer or clothesline after using washing machine.
No WiFi, too slow to use at 0.138 Mbps.
- Alessandra (5/5): Overall OK for a few days. - Dog friendly. Location was good. Not central to walk to town, but a very short drive to everything (beaches/shops).
Converted garage, cosy granny flat style with plenty of room for 2 people & a dog. Fully fenced front and back courtyard. No microwave which would have been handy. TV was purely internet based with extremely slow internet connection.
- Shane (8/5): Will definitely use this place again next time we are in Forster - Great value, location and easy Bigger, more comfy lounge
- Rommel (7/5): Good - The house was clean, with enough space for a couple. Bed was comfy. Needs more privacy. The curtains are fine but maybe an added blinds or darker curtain will help. The screen door lock seemed broken,, maybe needs to be checked. Bathroom shower needed an area or space for toiletries (soap, shampoo etc.) It's hard when they're on. The floor.
- Derek (9/5): Nice little cottage close to the beach - Nice and spacious. No aircon
