• Michael (9/5): The Hub Apartments are overall a great place to stay. Fantastic central location. Great amenities! - (apartment 91) Great central location, safe & overall well maintained. Inclusion of a washing machine & dishwasher is great. The beds are comfortable & firm. (apartment 91) Clearer instructions on how the gas cylinder is to be managed as the gas was depleted the day after checking in. The range hood was completely gone when I arrived. It was reinstalled weeks after however, the lights on the range hood were not functional. I raised this issue along with the fact that the ensuite bathroom door doesn't close properly however this was not attended to. I did not escalate these issues further as I was often not in the apartment. The bathtub tap fixture doesn't have the handle/lever to allow for easy opening of the tap. The gas stove/oven symbols for which plates are active, which oven elements are active & how the temperature grades can be changed are no longer visually legible. I suspect cleaning efforts have eroded the symbols/writing. The couches need replacement as they're quite sunken in & we had to pad them with blankets.

• Christian Finn (9/5): Beautiful flat, would stay again! - Very comfortable flat with all the requirements one could need, very safe and with a good view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was cleaned every day by very friendly and happy staff. Had a few problems with electrical items which were not quite sorted before I left, but that was a minor issue.

• scott (9/5): great. will be back - I stay here every time I visit Johannesburg as it so comfortable for a family and very convenient. The facilities are good, you fell very safe, and the people are friendly Access is via code and this gets sent via the booking.com messenger which sometimes take a little while to arrive. There is never a plug in the kitchen sink.

I'm a bodybuilder and I came for a competition so my groceries shopping is big. He wants the Uber to park outside and I walk in with 6 big shopping bag, also on the last day check out he didn't let the Uber in,he wanted me to walk out of the gate with my big luggage. That I didn't appreciate at all.

The daily housekeeping was a great touch, and the host was outstanding — always ready to help with anything. The check-in process was seamless, and the place had all the essentials provided. We arrived by 2pm and unit had not started to be cleaned at all, even though we asked to put our bags and hurried to our event so that again we do not have to disturb the ladies to clean but when we were back very late at night, the unit was not refreshed well and bared the smell we found earlier, the kitchen utensils eg. Toaster l, coffee maker were so dirty, the throws on bed were so dirty and smell dirty not good at all. The couch was so dirty we had to clean it ourselves

• Wernu (1/5): Rotten smelling bedding - N/ A We’ve stayed many times at the hub, but the last 2 stays the bedding and pillows in all the rooms smells horrid! We could not sleep in that stench. It’s very sad, we enjoyed staying there in the past.

• Leona (10/5): Exceptional - Safe and secure compound, responsive and kind staff. Great location. We found it unusual that the shower cubicle and sink were located in the main room rather than in a separate bathroom, which is not what we’re typically used to.

• Zozo (9/5): Beautiful, cozy and comfortable apartment. - The apartment is very beautiful and cozy and all the comfort facility are available. In general very clean and quite budling with parking space and guards. I have stayed for 15 days in the apartment and although everyday someone came for cleaning and changing towel they did not change the bed covers for at least once a week.
