Guest Reviews
- Emily (1/5): Bad -
- Mark (1/5): Very annoyed that this booking was cancelled on us at such short notice. - Nothing
- Callum (1/5): Bad - Property cancelled 1hr before arrival. Never replied to refund messages had to go through booking.com.
- Diana (2/5): Very poor - The only thing that we liked about the property was it had a small kitchen and the location. The internet didn't work at all. Very frustrating when you are there for five nights. Reading previous comments on the property the internet hasn't worked in a long time. The TV didn't work at all. Complained to the owner. Never heard from him the entire time. We had to use the same two towels for the entire time. The mattress was old and hard on the double bed and one of us had to sleep on a fold out camp style bed. The apartment was not clean at all.
We paid a lot of money to stay at this property.
- Lisa (8/5): Great little spot for a football match, nothing fancy does what it says on the add A+++ - Great location, 10 minutes walk to the Aviva, 5 minutes to the train
- James (1/5): AVOID THIS PROPERTY. Looks cheap, will disappoint. Booking.com will not support your complaints. - The location of this apartment is fine, there are plenty of buses a short walk away. I have made extensive efforts since returning from holiday to secure a refund from the owner and booking.com, but have been unsuccessful. Please, do yourself a favour and DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.
We delayed writing this review to give both the owner and booking.com a chance to address our concerns. However, the owner stopped responding, and booking.com claimed they were unable to secure a refund, only encouraging us to leave a review. So, here it is.
The key pickup was chaotic: after a 12-hour journey, despite notifying the owner of our arrival time, we were directed to another address, five minutes away, to pick up keys from a lockbox. The owner was away, and the designated greeter would have taken over an hour to reach us. This additional walk left us exhausted.
The property was filthy: carpets were unvacuumed (we vacuumed them), and kitchen surfaces were sticky (we cleaned them). The bedding had debris on it, leading us to believe it hadn’t been changed (we turned the sheets inside out). An ashtray on the balcony needed emptying (we emptied it), and the flat smelled bad with flies everywhere. Despite notifying the owner about the dirty bed linen, no replacements were offered during our three-day stay.
There were insufficient towels—only one bath towel and two hand towels for three people. One morning, there was no hot water; the owner directed us to a panel that had a sign warning us not to touch it.
The kitchen was flooded: the rug was soaked, making it impossible to walk barefoot, likely due to a faulty dishwasher seal, which may have caused the musty smell. There were no instructions for any appliances. Faulty wiring posed a hazard, and the television had poor reception. The property also lacks internet.
Overall, this experience was terrible, and the support from booking.com was nonexistent. I’ll be deleting my account and never using booking.com again. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.
- Stuart (5/5): Passable - For the price it was what we expected, just somewhere to sleep for the night bed way too soft for me though. Good location for the RDS arena.
- Gerhard (2/5): terrible - The apartment is old, used and not renovated.
It was only marginally clean.
The WiFi never worked.
The shower was only lukewarm at best.
The drawers and cupboards are full of random used stuff from previous inhabitants.
The bed had as duvet the cheapest IKEA polyester thing without any cover.
I had to pick up the key from a lockbox two blocks away.
There were no instructions how to find the apartment within the complicated large complex.
On departure, when I left the key in the apartment, I could not get out of the compound any more and had to wait until a random neighbor opened the gate.
- Kt (10/5): Perfect accommodation - Everything you needed. Relaxing and quiet. Lovely little balcony. Great location. Nothing.
- Acostioaie (7/5): Good -
- Chloe (10/5): It was a lovely apartment and Hugh was so helpful and friendly, would highly recommend staying here - It’s within walking distance to the aviva stadium with direct access to buses and the dart
