• Georgia (4/5): A dirty hostel - We were able to check in late in the evening and they stored our bags for us after check out. The room was very dirty. The shower leaked all over the floor when you used it and the sanitary bin had not been emptied prior to our stay so it smelt horrible. The rooms are right next to the common area where people smoke weed and the smell then comes into the rooms and also people play music super loud until after midnight every night. It is not a great place to stay if you need good sleep or have to get up early!

• Maritza (6/5): Pasable para pocos días. - No desayuné en el hotel, que no fue el Inti raimi, me cambiaron a otro, de Velazquez 792 (esquina Chacabuco). Me gustó la ubicación, cerca del casino y el boulevard y el centro, el puerto. Lo otro bueno es que es silencioso, se puede dormir y descansar sin bullicio. No me gusto el olor de la habitación, la cortina de baño indecente, toda rasgada y hecha girones, además el cubículo de la ducha excesivamente pequeño, la cortina se pega a la espalda, es incomodo bañarse. Costaba abrir y cerrar la ventana de la habitación, la cortina estaba mal puesta, colgaba del lado izquierdo. Los poquitos muebles muy modestos. El pequeño closet sin colgadores, eso no cuesta nada, es querer atender bien al pasajero. El personal de recepción no quiso entregarme la habitación en la mañana aún cuando estaba desocupada y preparada para usar, eso es falta de consideración con el pasajero, mi bolso quedó en la recepción, perfectamente podría haber quedado en la habitación, porque yo tenia que salir. Da la impresión de ignorancia y mala voluntad. En el hotel Arica mas de una vez me han entregado la habiatción antes de la hora del check in, lo mismo me ocurrio en Brasil hace un mes, pudiendo se hace, porque no?

• Amy (8/5): - We arrived very early and they let us store our bags and hang out until we could check in. Our private room was clean and comfortable. Good that we could use the kitchen. Only suggestions would be a fan in the bedroom as it was super hot and to lower the mirror in the bathroom, it’s currently at a height for giants haha!

• Isabelle (2/5): Séjour dans un hostel boîte de nuit bruyant - L'emplacement était bon. C'est un hostel avec énormément de bruit, de musique très forte, et ce jusqu'à quasiment deux heures du matin. Il serait bon d'informer dans le descriptif que c'est un hostel festif. Cela peut incommoder les hôtes. Cela a été le cas pour nous.

• Izzy (10/5): Comfy, Relaxed and Absolutely Beautiful - Well, I don’t think I’ve found a more comfortable, clean and relaxed hostel in my travels. It’s like as soon as you enter you’re immediately welcomed in, and have the space to take some slow time after a long bus. It’s a great location, only a 5-10 minute walk to the centre and all the action - and only 15 minute lovely walk to the beach nearby. It’s virtually always sunny, and the way the hostel catches the light is beautiful. The rooms are very clean, good storage, and the terrace is absolutely something to take in when you’re here.

(: - Die Zimmer sind sauber, für das Geld ist alles top - wir waren zufrieden und wurden gut betreut Stellen sie sich aber darauf ein, dass es diese Art von Hostel ist, wo sie ihre Teller und Tassen nochmal mit heißem Wasser spülen bevor sie es benutzen :D - außerdem sollten sie auf laute Musik und kiffendes Personal vorbereitet sein
• Marcela Belén (9/5): excelente lugar para hospedarse si vas solo, en pareja o amigos - El hostel es precioso, muy colorido, decorado y esta muy bien ubicado, cerca de todo. Es un lugar seguro, nos sentimos en todo momento seguras y bien resguardadas, así también respecto a nuestras pertenencias. Pudimos compartir con otros huéspedes en los espacios comunes. Es un grato ambiente, como si estuviéramos en una casa compartida pero con la privacidad necesaria y suficiente.

• Julia (8/5): Great value for money & great for meeting people - Great vibe and lovely staff, the kitchen was great and the location was super convenient. Team member Izzy has made Raymi House a place to remember. The terrace is beautiful and a great place to hang out. They also have hammocks! There is a bar with very reasonably priced drinks and laundry for 5,000 pesos. The private room is huge which was great for a longer stay. Lovely family feel and always something happening, which is great for meeting fellow travelers. The WiFi was a bit touch and go in our room, but worked great in the rest of the hostel so no major issue. The bathroom drainage may need some attention as there was a persistent smell, and the shower would go very hot then very cold then very hot again. But alas still was able to have a nice shower. The walls are also very thin, so could hear everything going on in the hostel at all hours, and our room was right on the street so we had to sleep with the window closed due to loud road noise.

• Tristan (6/5): Fine for the price - Really nice roof terrace The hostel was staffed by volunteers who seemed a bit uninterested in working - we had to request new toilet paper every day, and the kitchen was usually full of dishes from their cooking. There was a lot of marijuana being smoked from breakfast until midnight, with the smell, and noise from their loud music, being funnelled into our room. Not a hostel for those wanting to rest or get to sleep before 1am. One of the two beds was mostly springs and the pillows were cotton wool.

• yllen (4/5): - Déco sympa Locaux sales, cuisine crasseuse, dortoir pas nettoyé, à notre arrivée un des 6 lits avait été occupé et c'est à 21h30 qu'on est venu enlever les draps sans en mettre des propres ! La poubelle était pleine à notre arrivée et l'est restée jusqu'à notre départ ! Nous avons nous même passé le balai et laissé en évidence les saletés. Le Personnel ne fait pas sa vaisselle et la laisse dans l'évier. La gazinière est très sale, nous l'avons nettoyer. C'est moi qui est secouer la nappe de la table à manger. Les WC ne sont pas très nets. Après leur avoir fait la réflexion, comme par hasard, les filles se sont mises à faire le ménage. Chose très curieuse, elle essuie les sanitaires et la gazinière avec du papier toilette. Personnel paresseux.

• Simin (7/5): - The staff were friendly and helpful. Water was hot. It was quite noisy with bad insulation. We could hear people chatting and laughing until about midnight. Room lacked hangers for our coats. There was also only one chair for a queen room so there wasn’t enough space for both of our belongings - having another chair will help. The mattress was placed on a wooden crate and frankly it wasn’t safe since the gaps were big and the planks were flimsy. You can easily injure yourself whenever you get up from the bed - especially at night if you had to use the toilet. The bathroom does not drain easily and water pools when showering.

• Fernando (6/5): Es bueno y barato, pero podría ser mejor - Es un hostel más bien para gente joven, con buena limpieza, buen tamaño de dormitorios, cocina bien equipada y ubicación más menos cercana para ir caminando al centro. El ruido fue el punto negativo. Una noche de sábado queríamos dormir porque al día siguiente íbamos temprano (6 AM) a un tour, pero una fiesta de unos “voluntarios” que atendían el hostel, simplemente no nos dejó dormir y terminó después de las 3 AM. En suma esa noche casi no dormimos (que es el principal motivo a lo que uno va a un hotel u hostel).

• Tom (6/5): Not too comfortable - Location is close to the city center, which is nice. Free filtered water. Staff was kind. Double room is spacious and clean. There is no sign outside with the name of the hostel. We rang the bell 5 times before we were let in because they were playing loud music inside. We had a double room with our own bathroom. After using the shower one time the entire bathroom was filled with water and even flowed into the bedroom. The bed was very soft and not too comfortable in our opinion. The rooms are directly next to the common room with thin walls and windows, so we heard other guests playing fifa until late in the evening. We told staff and they reacted kindly, saying that they would keep it down the next evening, which they did. I guess we didn't expect much because of the low price but we wouldn't come here again as we didn't find our stay very comfortable.

• Nadia (10/5): A cheerful, welcoming place full of color and warmth — I’d totally stay again. - The staff is incredibly kind and helpful — they made me feel at home from the very first moment. The hostel is colorful, clean, and full of life. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with everything you might need to cook, and there’s always fresh drinking water available!! The common area is cozy and relaxed — a great place to read, chill, smoking area, great terrace and TV place. I really loved the atmosphere here, it feels like a warm and creative little oasis in Arica. It’s not a big issue at all, but just something to keep in mind: the walls are quite thin, so you can sometimes hear people in other rooms. It’s not a problem if you’re a flexible traveler — just part of the hostel charm.

Comfortable bed in large private room with own bathroom was great - lovely to have some ‘space’ in a room. Communal spaces were clean, fun and relaxed. Kitchen well equipped. Staff really helpful and accommodating. Roof top space is a lovely addition. Nothing.
