Guest Reviews
- Wioletta Burczyk (5/5): - Dobra lokalizacja, blisko sklep, przystanek autobusowy, stacja kolejowa. Dobra komunikacja z gospodarzem.
- urwany kran w zlewie w aneksie kuchennym i leci zimna woda
- Aga (7/5): Good accommodation at a fair price. - Nice room with private bathroom, close to the city centre and Battersea park for good price. Enough fir short term stay. N/A
- Tomáš (4/5): Old uncomforable room equipment - Good locality. near main road, grocery store and tesco store around 300 meters very unconfortable extra bed. not possible to sleep at all. Seems that owner is trying save money on main equipment. Old scratched table shows, that they not spant single penny to make comfortable stay.

- Ruudi (5/5): -
- Rayan (8/5): Great value for money - Pretty fast internet (>50 Mbps). Private kitchenette with decently sized fridge, microwave, and electric kettle. Good location minutes walk away from a Tesco & bus stops. The walls are thin and it can get noisy if your neighbors aren't careful but it only happened during 2 days out of the 2 and a half week stay every other day people respected quiet hours (10 PM - 9 AM).
- Jefferson (8/5): - Location, room size, kitchenette, no street noise. Walls a bit thin (guest noises).
- Mokhtar (9/5): -
- EUNKYUNG (10/5): - Staff very welcoming and kind
Quick response Some nights/guests noise+ air flights noises

- Helen (3/5): Muy pequeño y muchas escaleras - Había toallas limpias Tenía que subir escaleras
- Walder (10/5): - Host very friendly and easy to get hold off if I had any problems
- W (9/5): Economical and efficient, but further away from sites than I anticipated. - Owners very quick to reply to questions. Very clean If you don’t like stairs and you stay and are given the top room, there are a lot of narrow stairs. Water pressure could have been better.
- Faraj (7/5): - all smooth Nothing

- Zoe (8/5): Good value for access into central london - Good value for money. Only 15 minutes walk to Clapham Junction and easy access into Central London. Small and cosy with everything you need. Bonus that there was a kitchenette - better than a hotel. Good communication from the host. Felt strange to send ID documents over to a mobile number on WhatsApp as requested by the property after booking.
There were only two fairly flat pillows. Two more pillows and I would have upped my rating!
- Tania (6/5): A convenient stay for a single person - It was super close to where my daughter lives. The bar fridge and kettle were handy. The room was clean. Access was easy and communication was good. It was very noisy throughout the night - I was woken a few times each of the 5 nights I was there. People were banging doors and a washing machine was being used in the early hours of the morning which was making a banging noise.
- Chawit (10/5): Wonderful! - Easy to access and the host is helpful. There is a kitchen and laundry that you can use. Overall decent! The heater and bathroom light.

- Jaffar (10/5): -
- Mel (8/5): - I found the location nice and easy close to the train station also close to all shops and centre
- Janelle (6/5): High hopes... hard pass - It was nice to have cooking facilities and was close to public transport It was so hard to lock the front door. My room was downstairs and I kept going out to check it was deadbolted. 9 times out of 10 it wasn't. I was staying on my own and I was scared... yes the rooms have deadbolts, but when youre in the room right by a front door that is rarely locked... no thanks, i don't need that stress. There is no soundproofing between floors. The people staying above me had loud sex, walked in heels on the floors until late at night. And it was dirty... the plumbing in the bathroom leaked so when I got back the toilet roll was soaked 3/4 through. The sheets had hair on them. I know you get what you pay for, but I'll go to a hotel next time I'm in for work.
- Joseph (10/5): Good value and experience. - Easy access, good communication, clean and strong internet. The bed was too close to the heater.
- Stephen (10/5): Good value accommodation close to central London. - Small, but well appointed studio with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Quiet area with restaurants and pubs close by. Easy walking distance to Clapham Junction - a major public transport hub. Steep steps - but that’s m6 problem.
- Agboola (10/5): -
- Benjamin (1/5): Don’t go. Terrifying - Just no Awful
- Veronica (7/5): Good value for money. - I liked that it was in a quiet area, and the price was reasonable compared to all other places I saw. When I tried using the extra blanket for a warmer sleep, I immediately started sneezing :( this is because it had a lot of dust! I’m allergic to dust so you can imagine I didn’t stop sneezing the whole night lol
I also have a few other things, and it really depends on the customer (I’m picky):
- The check-out time is lowkey too early (10 am), but the good thing is that it made me wake up earlier on my last day to do more lol.
- The room needs some more love! It’s too plain, in my opinion. The wall is also dirty, so it doesn’t contribute to a homey feeling.
- The walls are incredibly thin, so I could hear everything! Whenever a neighbor would come up or down the stairs, I sometimes thought they were inside my room lol!!! I usually have a deep sleep but it was hard to ignore the footsteps and noise.

- McCann (9/5): - Stayed at the Battersea Studios for a few weeks and had a great stay. The studio was clean and comfortable, close to the station and the staff were very helpful!
- FREW (8/5): Comfortable Quiet Well located - Well located in a quiet road. Bed in room 5 is exceptionally comfortable. The stairs up to the second floor are a real challenge. They are VERY steep and narrow.
You will not manage the stairs even with. 23kg suitcase if you have back issues.
You don't know which of the 6 rooms are going to be allocated to you until after payment. Suggest requesting the ground floor.
Would I stay here again for a 4 night stay ?, yes I definitely would, but only if put in a room on the ground floor.
If you are 'of size' you will not fit in the bathroom.
Room and bathroom was immaculately clean on arrival 👍
- Sarah (4/5): You get what you pay for in London. Very basic, needs repairs and damp sorting! - Location was good. Met the cleaners randomly and they were friendly and helpful, walked with me to the supermarket! Room much smaller than it looks in the photos. Shabby, smelled of damp, broken items eg: heater hanging off the wall, leaking shower, limited basics eg: no washing sponge, tea towels etc. very noisy.
- Annalisa (10/5): Booked quickly pleasantly surprised - Convenient Wasn’t much to hate
- Anatoliy (8/5): -
- Ian (7/5): A nice stay in a well connected part of London. - Nice room. Good size, good facilities and appliances, clean, responsive host Room was quite bright at night due to street lighting
- Tamara (9/5): - Great location.

- Gunawardena (1/5): Daylight robbery - Nothing at all This place is a disgrace and a total scam. The people running it are nothing but liars, cheats, and shameless fraudsters who delebrately trick innocent guests with polished photographs on Booking.com. The toilet sink is laughably tiny (you are lucky if you can fit both your hands inside it) and appx. 24 guests are forced to share 2 kitchens. The room is revolting, unhygienc and reeks of neglect. It's beyond horible. staying here feels like being robbed in broad daylight. Calling this place a nightmare and a hellhole would be too kind it is outright rotten scam trap.
- Peter (8/5): -
- Nkulumani (5/5): -
- Sen (7/5): Everything is good, very clean and tidy just if you get air conditioning it will be 100% - Very much good location and communication is good No air conditioning at all..during summer its very difficult
- Bee (6/5): Good value for money - I stayed in the ground floor apartment that has a little terrace/patio outside.
Hosts are very lovely, responsive and welcoming; wifi is quick The TV is mounted on the wall but the angle of it isn’t adjustable, so you can’t watch it in bed
The walls are crazy thin: I kept hearing somebody’s phone vibrating but it wasn’t mine, and my upstairs neighbours woke me up “jumping on the bed” at 1am and kept me up until 5am.
(and I’m a very heavy sleeper, I have literally slept through a hurricane)
- rose (7/5): - Good location. Comfy bed. Leak in the shower that could do with resealing.
- Peter (6/5): -
- Agboola (8/5): Very good -
- Ruth (1/5): Bad -
- Yuki (9/5): Calm place and nice and clean room. - Very reasonable price Nothing
- Josephine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erika (6/5): Ok for short term singles . Not recommended for families. - Location- we chose it because it was where we needed to be. Good grocer nearby and good train and bus links for London. Quality of furniture was average. As we were a family the sofa bed was not used as it was very basic and so we shared the bed. It is very small and the room we were in became very hot during summer even with a fan.
- Ewa (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (10/5): We had a great time in London Used The train and tubes to get around not just London but surrounding countryside also - Very quaint and Quiet Little small
- Samira (9/5): Superb -
- James (8/5): Very good - Location location location Only issue was shower. Difficult to get and maintain a reasonable temperature. Generally too hot or too cold
- Ann (8/5): Suited our need to visit our son who lives nearby. - Very good location for our particular need.
Good internet
Mini-kitchen within room so we could make our own breakfast and tea and coffee. The room is quite small.
Some noise from other people coming and going.
- Yevgen (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location with easy connection to central London. Flat has everything necessary for a comfortable short stay.
- Erin (10/5): Great location, helpful hosts, super clean, good amenities - The location is great - welcoming and easily walkable neighborhood.
Burak and team are great hosts! Very responsive and easy to work with. The shared spaces were cleaned multiple times per week.
Having a washer and dryer is as also so helpful for a longer stay. I stayed for ~6 weeks total between two different studio units in this building.
- Michal (6/5): Pleasant -
- Eng (8/5): Wonderful winter visit! - Easy check-in instructions was provided ahead of time. Owner contacted us two days ahead via whatsapp, and the instructions were accurate, simple and clear.
Excellent follow-up through the extended stay. Responsive to feedback when other tenants did not maintain usage of common kitchen.
Very good instruction and reminder provided before checking out. Thumbs-up to owner. Nothing major.
Maybe can add a "booklet" for recommended routes to groceries i.e. Lidl, Tesco Express, M&S Food, Week-end Market, etc.
Recommended travel options "to and from" key tourist attractions - use buses ahead of trains for visitors (more to see).
- Aleksejs (3/5): Overall I don't recommend it. - There was nothing I liked. The location is so-so. The furniture is old and shabby. The bed is old and broken, it is not comfortable to sleep. The bed linen is not clean and smells. In general, the smell of mold is everywhere. The room itself is very small and you can't see it in the photos because they are specially taken from this angle. The bathroom and toilet are very small, you can't turn around. The sink in the toilet is very tiny, you can't even wash your fingers. The microwave was broken. The TV remote was also broken.
- Leo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valeria (10/5): Exceptional - Very warmy and welcomy property!
- Adegoke (10/5): Comfortable - The property manager is 100% when it comes to communication right from the point of booking
Property is so neat, internet access is super, kitchenette is also well equipped if needed and privacy is top notch - I will definitely recommend this to anyone looking -
- Megan (5/5): Wouldn’t go back but was a bed for the night - It was a bed for the night and was clean. Was easy to get into and the hosts were quick to respond. The room was really cold even with the radiator on. The radiator was also broken off of the wall and neither of the bathroom lights worked. The duvet was really thin. Ended up putting the two towels over the duvet for some warmth.
No bedside table or plugs next to the bed.
Curtains were really thin so didn’t keep the heat in at all.
Overall, it was a last minute room due to cancelled trains and it could’ve been fine if it had been warmer and the lights worked.
Note that it was a particularly cold night.
- Rita (9/5): Superb -
- Motshabi (2/5): not to my expectations at all. didn't allow to cancel or amend my booking so book at own risk. - nothing, the size...the place was extremely small for 3 people and the bathroom was super tiny...very difficult to move inside the room
- Thomas (2/5): Very poor -
- Thomas (2/5): Staff nice, however stay dissapointing. - Location fine, quiet area. There was quite a bit not to like I’m afraid. Dirty linen whereby there were hairs and just not properly dry cleaned. Mice in walls/roof could hear them all night. Strange smell from drains. Way too overpriced for 2 star accommodation. Can find much better options elsewhere in London for that price.
- Craig (4/5): A most disappointing stay which caused me to cancel a proposed stay two weeks later. - Location was key for me as visiting a family member. It was close. You could walk to centre of London to get some exercise and train stations / bus was a short 5-10 minute walk from room. Uncleanliness. Management or their representatives could not have cleaned or inspected this property pre arrival. Toilets leaking and cistern running. Water (and urine i would surmise from a leaking toilet outlet) all over the bathroom floor and under bathroom tiles leeching into and under floor of main room. Had to remove cistern top and adjust to stop from running and cease noise each time toilet used. Nobody wants to be a plumber when travelling. When mentioned to manager their only initial solution / recommendation was 'to move out' and cancel with booking.com. Which, i must say, i could not do at short notice. To the managers credit they rectified the situation after my complaints back and forward. Faeces / excrement (again surmising as on toilet door architrave). I became a reluctant cleaner for this situation. Photos from half a world away can be deceptive as the room was smaller than expected.
- Dc21091964 (8/5): Very nice stay in London -
- Connor (9/5): Superb - The staff were very accommodating, I needed to make some changes to our booking which was very easy and hassle free.
The rooms are spacious and clean on a quiet road which is surprising given the location is very close to the city center. This is the second time I've stayed at Battersea studios and I'll happily stay again the next time I'm in york.
- Vanessa (9/5): Very easy process to collect keys, hosts were easy to contact if needed, would stay again for sure. - Location was excellent for my purpose. Hosts were easy to communicate with and accessible if needed.E
- Rennell (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lalith (1/5): bad - good location If you're considering staying here, please read this first. we stayed at apartment 6
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the hosts had no interest in providing a positive experience. They were rude and unhelpful, showing a complete disregard for our concerns. The apartment itself was a disaster. It's incredibly cramped, with a ceiling height of no more than 6 feet. There are two windows in the ceiling that let in an unbearable amount of light, making it impossible to sleep. Despite asking management to address the issue by closing the windows or offering a different apartment, they were extremely uncooperative and told us to handle it ourselves. This was particularly frustrating because we noticed that several other apartments were vacant.
Noise from the road was another major issue. The apartment is poorly insulated, and we could hear everything happening outside, making it difficult to relax. The bathrooms were tiny, to the point where it was nearly impossible to move around in the shower. To make matters worse, the shower heater is dangerously positioned right above the showerhead, posing a significant electric shock risk.
The common kitchen area was another letdown. It felt like we were constantly being monitored by management, and cooking was an uncomfortable experience due to the limited kitchenware available. Additionally, the walls outside the apartment were moldy and emitted a terrible odor, which was both off-putting and concerning.
We stayed here for 10 nights, and it was a horrible decision. There are many other affordable and better options around London, and I highly recommend avoiding this one. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
- Ramesh (9/5): Superb -
- Danielle (7/5): Good -
- Vincenzo (1/5): Many problems, but even without those problems not worth the cost - Arrived at about 23:00 PM. The code I was sent to open the lockbox did not work and the support sent me only a whattsapp number to contact in case of problem which I did not have. Eventually I found a phone number, but the operator on the other side did not have a phone to pick up the call, by a long exchange of SMSs finally they found out that they sent me the wrong code. Eventually they sent me the right one and I managed to enter my room slightly after 1 AM.
In the room I soon found out that the flush did not work. I sent some other SMSs, but they kept insisting on asking me to contact them by whattsapp. During my whole stay the flush was never repaired. Eventually I had to flush the toilet by using the trash bin which I filled at the kitchen sink.
What they call a studio is slightly bigger than the usual hotel room, but with an extra sink, fridge and microwave which they call kitchenette. The room for the kitchenette was recovered by shrinking the bathroom. The toiled is crammed and the bathroom sink is so small that you cannot even brush your teeth in there.
Overall the fittings of the room are equivalent to a two star hotel. Even the curtains are too small to keep out street light and daylight.
- 7 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoff (8/5): Very good -
- West (3/5): Poor - Check In was poor. Waited outside for 30 minutes for the code to the door. I was then checked in to the wrong room. I then had to move all my stuff to the other room where I unpacked everything again. About an hour later I hear my doorbell ringing and apparently it’s a guy from “maintenance”. I was not told anything about this and it was 6pm on a Friday night after I just checked in. I didn’t let him in as I was the only person in the block. He somehow got in and started banging on my door and telling me there was a leak he had to fix. I still have not been told a single thing and have no idea who is on the other side of the door. I tell him I’m not letting him in and he then tells me he has keys and will open the door himself. Absolute joke if you ask me. I should’ve just called the police because this man was basically trespassing and threatening me. After about 30 minutes of telling him I’m not opening, I decided to face who was on the other side of my door because I was fed up.
I then had to force myself to get moved back to the initial room where I stayed for the remainder of my stay. After this whole scenario, it was a pleasant stay but I was genuinely ready to book another accommodation and report this stay and get a refund.
Overall, seemed like pleasant people. Very unprofessional though and also not worth the money I paid.
