- Julia (10/5): This location was neat, clean and modern, with a great location! - This location was neat, clean and modern, with a great location. No complaints!
- Martha (10/5): Exquisite visit - Great location directly on the wharf, with magnificent sunsets! Well equipped, and comfortable beds and furniture. Appreciated the tea and coffee. No complaints!
- Laurence (10/5): Perfect stay - Great location , well appointed , clean home. Walking distance to restaurants in charming Cheticamp
- sylvie (10/5): Confort apprécié - Propre, moderne, bien équipé. Parfait
Localisé sur un quai, l’environnement pourrait ne pas plaire à certains mais nous visitions toute la journée et arrivions au coucher du soleil. Rien
- Donna (10/5): - It's a cozy well furnished two bedroom suite at a great location. It includes everything you need to relax and enjoy time in the house. It's close to the park entrance and right beside a reputable whale tour. It is kinda at a centre location travelling northeastward and southeastward to other tourist spots such as Inverness beach, Ingonish beach, Baddeck and Louisbourg.
- Sabine (10/5): An absolutely wonderful place! - The suite is absolutely lovely and beautifully furnished, with everything kept spotlessly clean. The host reached out via email and was always available if needed, though we never had to ask for anything because the amenities were outstanding. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches – from coffee, dips, and basic essentials already provided, to the wonderful welcome gift waiting for us. It truly made us feel at home right away.
We had a great time and the location was excellent to explore Cape Breton, the Cabot Trail and go for a whale watching Trip. We wished, we could have stayed longer than two nights. The location is right by the small harbor of Cheticamp – perfect for heading out on a whale watching tour. Despite being so close to the harbor, it’s quiet and the house is well insulated. However, if you’re looking to be surrounded by untouched nature, this might not be the ideal spot.”
- Agnieszka (10/5): Hidden gem in Cheticamp - Fully equipped accommodation, comfy beds, modern layout and decor, located next to a wharf. Hosts were very responsive to any needs or any questions. We will be staying again next summer. A+ Nothing to complaint about
- Pamela (10/5): We wish we could have stayed longer! - My husband and I really enjoyed our brief one night stay at The Dockside Suite. The suite is immaculate and beautifully decorated with full amenities. The view is outstanding - you can't get any closer to the water unless you're on a houseboat. The owner Melanie was very quick to respond to all my questions and concerns prior to the trip. She very sweetly left us a bottle of wine and chocolate covered pretzels as well. Thank you Melanie! I only wish we could have stayed there longer! Cheticamp and the surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous!!! Plan your vacation to stay longer in Cheticamp and shorter in Halifax. The split system is noisy, which isn't a problem during the day, but when you are sleeping it sounds like someone is rattling the doorknobs . It woke us up and we both looked out the door because we thought maybe someone was trying to get in but then heard the noise again and determined where it was coming from.
- Trina (10/5): Exceptional - The Dockside Suite was new and stylish - very comfortable and had all the amenities one could want. Coffee, tea, sugar, cream, oil, salt/pepper provided along everything else if one wanted to make a meal. We enjoyed watching the fishermen unload their fish from their boats while drinking coffee from the kitchen table. There was also an outside seating area to the side with a propane fire pit. The bathroom was stocked with soap/lotion/hair dryer and the beds were very comfortable. As for the location, we were in the middle of Cheticamp with easy access to nearby trails in the national park as well as restaurants and a grocery store. There was a bottle of wine and cookies (biscuits) with a nice welcome note upon arrival! We will definitely recommend The Dockside Suites to our friends.
