The ocean views were stunning and we were walkable to so many shops and restaurants. Sunset views were unmatched! Hotel desk staff work 10-6. Not early enough to grab beach towels in the morning before heading out. Sinks were beautiful and large but lacked bathroom counter space.

• Harriet (10/5): Fabulous! - The beds were incredibly comfy. View from the balcony was stunning, spent a couple hours in the evenings enjoying the sunset on there. You have to ask for it, but had house keeping every day. Stayed in the old building but the rooms still felt modern. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Duffin Cove. Rooms a little small but felt cosy and big enough to fit two large suitcases comfortably. Nothing else of note.

Die Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer perfekt für den ersten Kaffee auf dem Balkon! Abends bin ich mit meiner Tochter draussen gesessen und haben die Tiere beobachtet oder sie uns ;-) Seehunde, diverse Vögel und am Strand, mit direktem Zugang vom Haus, gab es auch diverses zu entdecken. Der Sonnenuntergang bleibt unvergessen. Das Zimmer war nur mit diversen Treppen erreichbar, war für uns gut machbar, muss man evtl. halt 2x laufen, je nach Gepäck...

The little A-frame cabin was beautifully designed and very comfortable. We were also in easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants that make Tofino an excellent location to relax and enjoy the moments. The weather. :)

• Ulf (8/5): - Not much business in November so that we got one of the best rooms in the old part of the hotel with a great view on the sea. Thx a lot! Very friendly team and super responsive (thx to WhatsApp reachability). You are clearly paying for the view and the chance to walk through Tofino without the need to use your car all the time. If this is your objective, you found the right place (make sure you get a room in the old part of the hotel) The interior is at a good level. The heating was noisy and unfortunately not a modern energy-efficient system.

It was exactly what we needed to escape the buzz of the city to take in the salty ocean air, the crashing waves and incredible night sky where we even witnessed the milky way from what seemed like our own private cove! Hot water was plenty for 4 back to back showers. The coffee/tea in room was tasty, the beds were oh so comfortable and the loft had enough head room for someone under 6’ to walk the middle. The set up was perfect for us for the weekend stay. We especially loved the fireplace on the timer - it added to the ambiance and made us super cozy as we gathered round it bundled in blankets on the floor. It was a incredible stay and we would live to be back one day!

• Sarah (7/5): Nice cabin, good location although, a bit overpriced and unclean. - We liked the location, the privacy and the beautiful views from the balcony. Plenty of towels were provided. It could've been cleaner, as there were hairs on the bathroom walls and dust on the lounge lights. Stuffing the wires behind the TV was hazardous and got hot from the fireplace below. A bathtub or hot tub would've made the price point more understandable - given it was in the off-season it was expensive.

Sehr saubere Zimmer auf dem neusten technischen Stand. Parkplätze direkt vor dem Haus. Fußläufig in die "Stadt". Die Klimaanlage kann ausgeschaltet werden. Der Kühlschrank ist etwas zu laut für unser Empfinden.

• Michael (10/5): Super Lage - Super Aussicht mit herrlichem Sonnenuntergängen Etwas mehr Abstellmöglickkeiten sind unbedingt nötig, die Koffer und Garderobe Kombination ist sehr umständlich und eng. Auch hat ein Tisch mit Stuhl gefehlt. Und das es kein Housekeeping mehr gibt ist nun wohl Mode, wohl der Umwelt zuliebe. Aber bei diesen Preisen ist das für mich eigentlich selbstverständlich das täglich das Zimmer gemacht wird, schade.

Could only access room by 3 flights of stairs. No room service during stay which at this price point I would have expected rubbish picked up and bed made. Especially when office hours are limited.

Looks like it's fairly new---at the end of the main street---easy walk to just about anything you could want---fabulous view---Rooms are very comfortable. Good beds. Great views. Well appointed. A really lovely spot to stay. I wouldn't say it's a dislike---I think they are still working things out. Office hours are ten to six. If you leave early have a key drop or let folks know what to do if they leave before office opens---but I think they are still working out the kinks.

• Sharon (8/5): Beautiful Duffin Cove stay! - Beautiful Duffin Cove, loved the sound of the waves. Room was nice, Nespresso machine appreciated. The beds were very comfortable. There is a lot of light that comes in from bathroom. We had to ask for kettle that was supposed to be “in room”. And the description says the rooms are “soundproof” -not so- we could definitely hear the people above us. If there were screens on slider it might help with the mosquitoes.

• Bill Franklin (1/5): Try another property in Tofino! - First of all, this isn’t a resort. We had a studio room booked at an outrageous expense. The uncomfortable bed took up more than half the room. There was no closet, storage space was inadequate, there was no storage room for luggage, there was no iron or ironing board, the shower had mold, the room had mosquitoes, the coffee maker didn’t work properly, there was no daily housekeeping, the staff was only present on site eight hours a day, there was no telephone, and after “hours”, guests had no access to ice. The patio and ocean view were nice, but not for the price paid. I would never recommend this MOTEL to anyone. See previous answer.

• Nick (9/5): My stay at Duffin Cove was peaceful, cozy, and the perfect way to enjoy Tofino’s beauty—even in the rain. - Our three-night stay at Duffin Cove Resort was nothing short of wonderful. Even with the rain rolling in for much of our visit, the experience was still incredibly relaxing. In fact, the sound of the waves combined with the rainfall created such a calming atmosphere that it felt like the perfect backdrop for a coastal getaway. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and designed to make the most of the stunning views. Waking up each morning to look out over the water—even on misty, grey days—was a highlight in itself. The large windows and private deck made it easy to simply sit back, enjoy a coffee, and watch the weather shift across the cove. What stood out most was how peaceful and secluded the resort felt while still being just minutes away from Tofino’s restaurants and shops. After a day of exploring trails and beaches nearby, coming back to Duffin Cove to unwind made the trip feel perfectly balanced. Rain or shine, this spot is a gem. The staff were warm and attentive, and the location right on the water makes it unique. If you’re looking for a place where you can embrace the beauty of the coast in all kinds of weather, Duffin Cove is a perfect choice. While our stay was very enjoyable overall, there are a few small improvements that could make the experience even better. In our room, the coffee machine was placed on a very low shelf, which made it a bit awkward to use. Some of the storage areas were also set quite high, making them difficult to reach. On rainy days, more practical touches would be helpful—like additional hooks at the entrance for wet jackets, a larger mat to catch water and dirt before stepping in, and perhaps a small stool by the door to make it easier to remove shoes without tracking mud across the room. These are minor details, but they would add a lot of convenience and comfort to the overall guest experience.

It was a bit style over substance. It looked great but the “extra bit” was missing. No desk/table; no kettle for tea; utterly uncomfortable outside furniture ; old linen on the beds; cheap furniture fittings. This was a shame because it could have been fantastic with some extra thought.
