- Bridget (10/5): Amazing and enjoyed the peace - The Location was amazing and very quiet.
It was well set out and very nice how it was furnished. I believe internet was an issue, but I am not sure if it was actually available
- William 64 (10/5): Dora creek cottage weekend. - Very peaceful lovely and quiet area. Airconditioning would have been nice but we did not have hot days.
- Michael-John (10/5): Absolutely lovely place. -
- Mark (9/5): Very relaxing - Lovely spot. Not too far off highway.
- Adrian (10/5): Nice property in a lovely part of the world, worth a stay. - Dora Creek cottage is located in a semi-rural setting approximately 2 hours North of Sydney, and a 40 minute drive to Newcastle. The cottage is very clean well appointed as a self-catering stay option with Dora Creek and the surrounding towns of Morisset and Cooranbong, have ample grocery, liquor and dining options available.
Ther are a number of local restaurants available with a must do visit to 8 at Trinity on nearby Lake Macquarie.
Our hosts Julie was very accommodating and helpful with local knowledge. We can highly recommend Dora Creek Cottage as a stay option in the area. Not much that you won't like about this property, other than the bed is a bit squeaky and a bit disruptive of your sleep every time you move around, bothered my wife more than me though. Also no air conditioning, but there is fans and a heater.

- Nikola (8/5): - Beautiful peaceful setting
- georgia (6/5): Reasonable stay. - This place is reasonable. The space itself is a bit worn out looking and dated in parts. It has the basic requirements but it would have been nice to have a couple of biscuits and extras for the money paid. I was not a fan of having to use one space heater for the whole unit. I would feel much safer with a split system. I found the place to be okay. Personally, I would not stay here again. It is one of the cheaper places in the area. You get what you pay for. No split system, cold. Would have been good to have a couple of biscuits.
- Andrew (10/5): - Cottage on small rural block. Lovely outlook, very quiet, Bellbird and horses for great ambience. Still just few minutes into town. Full kitchen so could cater ourselves first night and breakfast.
- Jodie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful & charming quaint cottage, very clean and homely
- Abbas (9/5): Top notch! - Amazing location and cute cottage. Great hospitality and warm welcome. Squeaky bed.
- Monique (8/5): Very comfortable stop over after a long drive - Quiet, quant and private Didn’t realise there was no air conditioning
- Tim (8/5): A pleasant place for 2 people to stay! - Location, well equipped kitchen, clean Lack of washing machine
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Will (9/5): Very helpful host, beautiful views, lovely cottage - Views of paddock were beautiful. clean comfy cottage with nice decor. Tea, coffee , milk provided. Heater.
- David (8/5): Lovely location, peaceful, very well appointed, and very pleasant. - The quiet rural setting, with wildlife, farm animals and a dam. The bath towels were excellent and so too were the supplied items in the kitchen and bathroom. The TV and the music system, couches and kitchen furniture were above average. We would like to stay again at 'Dora Creek Cottage' and experience this beautiful location another time. The double bed was not very comfortable, it sagged in the middle and its springs were noisy. The light switch locations took some time to find and to remember (even at the end of our stay, one light switch still could not be found).
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graemeln (9/5): Superb - Self contained and private. Had all the amenities that you need for a couple. Nothing in particular
- Brian (10/5): Excellent for a short term stay or longer. - Liked the fact that it was a cottage .. so much nicer than a hotel room and also the semi rural setting Nothing
- Terrence (8/5): Very good stay, could have gotten more sleep. - It was peaceful and quiet, loved the sound of the native birds so close.
The accommodation was beautifully laid out and clean Two things kept us awake, the dog barking in the middle of the night, and the relief valve sound from the hot water system.
I had a shower before retiring, and shortly after, as the hot water heated up again, the relief valve went off a few times with a loud sound.
- Kelly (9/5): Comfortable stay on Dora creek. Julie the host was great! - Peaceful and spacious Nil
- Darren (8/5): Very welcoming and laid back -
- Annette (8/5): Very pleasant - Lovely setting very private. Well equipped kitchen. Cosy. Liked the photography framed on walls. No aircon very hot. Tv didn’t work fuzzy lines through it.
- Judy (9/5): Superb -
- Visnja (8/5): Very good -
- Ursula (8/5): Over all, very pleasant place. - The location. Green, fresh with birds roaming Around. Very paceful.
