- Trager (10/5): Perfecto! - Where do I start? A+ Super friendly host and much bigger house than expected. I felt right at home. It is a family run place. Tony picked me up at the airport and really enjoy his hospitality. His son is Tshepi is an amazing mixologist so you must try his DRINKS and conversations! And Tony's wife is quite a cook and I'll give her credit for sending Tony to pick me up in the rain lol. Overall, a nice find and you won't be disappointed. That I couldn't stay longer
- Cees-Jan (10/5): - Lovely hosts, little outside of Maun centre but perfect for nice and tranquil stay.
- Juliana (10/5): - Nao há palavras pra descrever o quanto adoramos este lugar! O anfitrião não poderia ser mais gentil. A localização é conveniente, a casa é incrível. Queremos voltar.
- AK (10/5): - The house was perfect for our short stay in Maun - a short drive from the airport and shops. The house is very spacious and it was lovely to find some breakfast stuff in the fridge for the next day! The host was very helpful prior to our arrival and provided all the info we needed. Upon arrival, he was extremely helpful and always there to answer any questions we had. He even helped us to pick up our family members from the airport. There was an option to order food which was very useful. You can also order cocktails which are freshly prepared by the host's son - great menu and all excellent. Overall, I can highly recommend this place! Nothing but useful to have a car if you want to visit shops etc.
- Michael (10/5): Very nice and practical house for our family of five. - Very clean and complete with all we needed. N/A
- Alexei (1/5): Double bookings and unreliable attitude of the owners - The house itself is clean, spacious and comfortable, albeit a little far from the town (20 min drive). However the double bookings and unreliable attitude of the owners ruins the entire experience. I originally stayed for one night and liked the facilities. So I decided to stay here again on my way back from the delta and made a new booking. When returning back to Maun in the dark a week later, after a long day's drive, I found the house occupied by other guests. The owner went out and said, "oh sorry man, I forgot about your booking" in a completely trivial way, like nothing special has happened.
The owner didn't even make an effort to inform me on WhatsApp that he "forgot", to save me a long drive to his guest house.
In a town which shuts completely down after 8pm, it took me 2 hours to drive around in the dark to find another place to stay which was decent enough.
The facilities are great, but given the unreliable attitude of the owners with regards to their booking commitments, I would not stay here again. Cannot recommend the place. Please choose another place in Maun to save yourself from the trouble of getting stranded in the dark because the owner "forgot" your booking.

- Alexander (10/5): - Great house, with living room which is cozy for everyone to hang around.
Friendly hosts who you can always chat with.
The location is quite convenient. There was a loud music from some neighbours in the night which unfortunately could be heard in the house.
The 2nd bedroom is like a tent attached to the house. There are spaces between the floorplanks there that allow any mosquitoes to enter. This is why we couldn't use it, we took the mattress from that floor and put it inside.
- Guest (8/5): Awsome! - They went out of their way to make our stay so special. The breakfast ingredients in the fridge were a pleasant surprise and much appreciated.
- Anna (10/5): - The facility is excellent, fully equipped, clean, very well located and very comfortable.
The owners are very nice and helpful. They have plenty of suggestions, for restaurants, souvenir shops and tour guides. Thanks to them we met our guide Jack (Planet Safari) which was the highlight of our trip.
The owners also own a Chinese restaurant and the food is just amazing! Their son is a professional mixologist making drinks using the local products and they are exquisite.
Definitely recommend the stay accompanied by the delicious food and drinks.
- James (10/5): Such a peaceful haven and welcoming hosts. - Peaceful setting.
- James (10/5): I will stay again!! -
- Hendrik (10/5): Exceptional - The place was fabulous..big trees in the garden
House was comfortable..had a great fire in the fireplace.
The owners were very welcoming. Nothing
- Salomão (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. The house is nice and has a lot of space. The hosts are amazing and were always ready to help us. I would definitely stay at casa Bena again. A nice retreat near the Okavango Delta.
- Ian (10/5): Great find in Maun. - Tony and Nomfi’s place is a wonderful place to feel like you are at home in Maun. They have taken care of every
item you may need during your stay.
Kitchen is so well equipped you could run a catering business during your stay.😀
In winter there is a fireplace and wood to add to the ambiance and keep you warm during the cooler nights.
My future go to place! Only spent two nights!
- Maureen (10/5): Thanks for everything Nomfi and Tony. Feels like we have known you forever! - Well stocked. Loved the breakfast items. Was a bonus. Comfortable. Convenient. Just like I was home. Thanks Nothing. Totally enjoyed everything about it.
- Capmor (10/5): Great place, very good value and I will definitely be back!!! - Tony is a wonderful host. It was a VERY last minute & late arrival booking and he was very accommodating. The place is huge and there are aircons for the bedrooms and lounge which is great. There is no backup power at the moment for the more and more frequent power cuts being experienced in Maun, but Tony is looking at a generator or solar system to assist on this front. There is backup lighting for when the electricity fails and the Wi-Fi is on a backup UPS, so at least communications are still possible for an hour or so after the start of the power cuts.
The property is extremely spacious and lots of thought has gone into making it comfortable. The kitchen is very well appointed with both electric and gas stove (good during power cuts), plenty of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. I loved the hot-tub, which was great way to ease away the stresses of the journey. I enjoyed and will definitely be back. Can't really think of anything that I didn't like about Tony's place..... the only "problem" is that it is clearly well liked and favored by travelers and so you need to book well in advance.

- Mateo (8/5): Good place for self-catering.... - The property is very secure in a handy location. It has a lovely garden, and plenty of room to park. The accommodation is very spacious. There is a good sized kitchen with plenty of dishes and cutlery. The host was also very sensible to include the basics, such as salt, pepper, oil, bread, butter, tea, milk, etc. They also included some other nice extras. Very thoughtful. There was a good fridge and plenty of cooking space. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good and had an ample supply of hot water. As we were leaving the next day, the owner was also very nice to allow us to leave our car at the accommodation until we had returned from our tour. Wifi had decent coverage. The cats kept getting into the property. We had to keep chasing them back out. They don't accept card. As we had a tour early morning, we had to first find a ATM, a good bit away from the property to get cash out. Very frustrating as we were trying to get ready for the tour. It was also quite shocking to see the owner just walk in to our accommodation the next morning without warning or knocking. I was trying to get ready and walking around still half-naked. I think all hosts in Botswana should be aware that as the country has a dreadful network coverage, it's always best to contact guests through Whatsapp, so that you can check to see if they received the text, or read them. The owners messages through booking.com took too long to get to us.
- Michael (10/5): A good stay in Maun. - We received a warm and very kind welcome from the host. The provision of breakfast goodies was greatly appreciayed and very unexpected. The house was comfortable and very conveniently located. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly come again. Everything was fine - but the parking was a bit of a challenge.
- Colleen (10/5): A perfect place to stay to explore east Okavango/Maun! - Casa Bena was perfect for our group of 5. Nomfi was an outstanding host and took care of our every need, including recommendations for excursions, dinner places and leaving some very much appreciated items in the fridge. It was so enjoyable! Nothing
- Zvonimir (10/5): Perfect stay in Maun - Everything was exceptional! Huge haus all for you with multiple rooms and bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, even the fridge had a food for start of stay. Owners were great, with great advices and very friendly. Parking is secured inside fenced yard. And you can order very tasty meals from owners at reasonable price. Highly recommended stay in Maun! Absolutely everything was perfect

- Kai (10/5): A nice location and accommodation close to maun - It's great hosting, owing our experience that we have incidents while we are there. We solved it and in a relaxed way. And that's what we appreciate it for!! Not really much... Because you might get more as you can expect.
- Modise (10/5): Exceptional - It was homely for my family, my wife and kids were so excited about the place and wished we could extend the stay. If you have a family to travel with, this is the place to lodge in. It has everything you can want. The reception is excellent. Nothing to complain about
- Wolvos_world_wanderer (10/5): Exceptional - Everything All perfect
- Ziyaad (8/5): Excellent hosts, with small touches of comfort that made all the difference. - Antony and Nomfi were the most hospitable hosts. Helpful and friendly and with the added personal touches made our stay comfortable and not wanting to leave.
The kids loved the upstairs “tent” room and Bella the cat kept the kids entertained. The Boma was a treat as well. Not much. It was great.
- Anonymous (10/5): We loved it - Neat, well laid out and cosy A bit noisy neighborhood, but it was a Friday night
