• Laura (9/5): - Good location, less than 1km from Brussels Midi Train station, so very well connected to other parts of Belgium. 2km walk from the Grand Place. Supermarkets nearby. Very large, excellent size for us, as two adults travelling with two children. A washing machine would be a good addition, but there is a laundry mat on the corner. Spiral staircase may be difficult to navigate for those with reduced mobility, but was fine for us.
• Carlo (9/5): Nel cuore di Saint-Gilles - Casa situata a due passi dalla piazza di Saint Gilles e a 30 minuti a piedi dalla Piazza Grande, con una bella passeggiata. L'appartamento è confortevole, l'ospite squisito e sempre disponibile, pulito e spazioso, con anche un piccolo terrazzo esterno con meravigliose rose, almeno nel periodo in cui siamo stati lì. Cucina ben attrezzata, temperatura della casa ottimale. La scala per scendere al piano interrato, dove si trova anche il bagno, è molto scomoda. La parte di sotto, dove c'è appunto il bagno e una stanza da letto, è piuttosto buia, essendo un piano interrato.

• Edin (10/5): - Spacious and clean apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, very close to a metro station, which makes getting around the city easy. There is a large supermarket nearby, which is very convenient. The city center is also within walking distance — about 30 minutes, which was not a problem at all. The host was excellent: professional, helpful, and with very good communication. Highly recommended for a pleasant stay. -

• Margaret (10/5): Lovely apartment - Great location, clean and modern. We had a lovely stay and could easily walk or take public transportation wherever we wanted to go. Host was easy to communicate with and left some nice treats for us :) As others have mentioned, the stairs are a bit tricky.

• Catarina (8/5): Confortável - O apartamento é muito perto da estação de comboios e metro. O anfitrião aceitou que efetuássemos o check-in um pouco mais cedo para pousarmos as mochilas e podermos ir visitar. Foi muito simpático e acessível. O apartamento tem o essencial e é super quentinho, com chinelos à disposição, bem como café e chá. Pena o chuveiro estar um pouco obsoleto bem como o teto que estava em mau estado, mas dava perfeitamente para tomar banho.
• annaclaudia (6/5): Piacevole weekend tra Bruxelles - Bruges e Gand - L'host è stato davvero carinissimo. L'abbiamo incontrato al nostro arrivo e ci ha permesso di lasciare i bagagli nonostante mancassero 2 ore al check-in. L'appartamento è in una posizione che consente, con una passeggiata di 20 minuti a piedi, di raggiungere il centro. Vicino ci sono ristoranti, panifici e supermercati. Il problema principale dell'appartamento è che si sviluppa su due piani (terra e seminterrato) e il bagno è al piano inferiore, al quale si accede tramite una scala a chiocciola abbastanza stretta. Se si dorme al primo piano e durante la notte c'è la necessità di recarsi in bagno, non è proprio il massimo...per il resto, tutto bene comunque!

Está muy bien ubicado si quieres tomar el metro o el tren y tienes cerca algún bar o tiendas para poder comprar víveres. El anfitrión muy amable y además hablaba muy bien nuestro idioma. Nous gardons l’adresse sous le coude au besoin d’une nouvelle visite de Bruxelles - Appartement propre et spacieux, nous étions 4 adultes et nous ne nous sentions pas oppressés ! La localisation, quartier St Gilles et à proximité du Parvis. Une petite demie heure de marche pour rejoindre le centre ville de Bruxelles.
• Anne Cécile (10/5): Bon choix proche du centre - Appartement très spacieux, bien équipé. Jolie décoration. A 20 minutes à pied du centre. A 10 minutes à pied de la gare Bruxelles Midi. L'appartement donne sur la rue mais il y a très peu de circulation, c'est très calme. Quartier calme, supermarché à proximité. Tout était OK.

• Victoria (10/5): Great place to stay in Brussels - Overall this was a great place to stay in Brussels. It has a small patio which was nice. It is about a 30 minute walk from the square but we were okay with that (helped burn off all the delicious food we ate!) Also note the spiral staircase. It didn’t bother us but it is very narrow and the only bathroom is down the stairs. Overall a great stay!

• Joan (6/5): Ben situat i molt bona atenció, però compte amb l'accessibilitat i la humitat - El lloc està molt ben situat per accedir al centre i els llocs importants de Brussel·les en transport públic (metro línies 4 i 10) i és a tocar de l'estació de tren de Bruxelles-Midi, on passen trens que connecten amb la resta de Bèlgica i Països Baixos i directament amb l'aeroport. Té una bugaderia i supermercat molt a prop. El barri pot semblar insegur a primera vista, però no vam tenir cap problema. L'amfitrió va ser en tot moment molt amable, va resoldre tots els nostres dubtes i va facilitar l'entrada una mica més d'hora del previst. Contesta en castellà. El lavabo i una de les habitacions són en un semisòtan al que s'accedeix per una escala de cargol que és impracticable amb maletes. Vam haver de desfer l'equipatge per poder-lo baixar. Aquesta escala no és adequada per a persones de certa edat o amb dificultats per moure's. L'habitació del pis inferior és molt humida i cal tenir engegat un deshumificador de forma permanent (cal buidar-lo dos cops al dia). Les persones amb al·lèrgia a la humitat (com una del nostre grup) haurien de dormir al pis superior.
• Enrique (8/5): Bien para pasar unos días en Bruselas. - La ubicación. Se buscó alojamiento cercano a Midisud. Cumplía perfectamente. Las camas eran muy cómodas. La terraza era de un tamaño muy bueno pero le hace falta un renueve. El anfitrión estaba pendiente. El acceso al baño es mas difícil de lo esperado. La humedad en la parte de abajo del alojamiento es excesiva. (hay deshumidificador) Olor de los desagües en la planta baja.

• Jitsuro (7/5): 階段と芳香剤を考慮してくれれば、問題はないと思う。 - 部屋が広かった。スーパーも近い。 地下の部屋に行く階段が螺旋階段で狭く急で怖かった。 地下にトイレとバスルームがある為、階段を使わざるを得ない。最初に地下の寝室に入った時強烈な芳香剤の匂いがした。ホストが気を使ったのかもしれないが、気分が悪くなった。

• Paul (9/5): Superb - The flat was spacious, clean and well-equipped. The location is superb, with a supermarket within 4-5 minutes, and a Metro station within 7-8 minutes. This meant we could get around easily - we bought daily 10-ride tickets, usable on Metro, trams, and buses. Brissels has an amazing public transport system - UK cities should take note! Despite soaring temperatures (up to 40c!😬) the flat stayed cool and comfortable. The hosts were quick and friendly in contacting us, and had left some teas, coffees and even a packet of biscuits for us! Overall a great place to stay! The spiral staircase is a little narrow and daunting at first.
• Catarina (8/5): Lovely stay in a lovely neighborhood - The hosts were very nice and the apartment was lovely. I appreciate the kind gesture of the host to leave us something. The stairs in the apartment are quite challenging.
• Caroline (8/5): Very good for a short stay if you don’t have mobility issues - Clean and comfortable. Spacious. Convenient for Eurostar and local bus/metro and plenty of grocery options. Suited us fine. Spiral staircase was very narrow. One bedroom upstairs and one downstairs with only a downstairs bathroom, not much of a problem for us more of an inconvenience, but if you had a large bag, mobility issues or need to use the bathroom regularly it would be an issue.
• Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious, nice and clean rooms. The terrace was a great addition. Great to explore Saint-Gilles but also for Ixelles and the European Quarter. The narrow stairway is not in a good state. It might be a good idea to invest in a new one. We didn't have any problems, though.
• Sugden (9/5): Brussels was a great city to explore and enjoy. - Helpful host. Property close to Metro. Walking distance from Brussels Midi. Property was a good size, clean and contained everything we could have needed.
• Roxana (9/5): Good choice for a group, for short and longer stays - Very spacious place, with everything needed, well-located in a relatively quiet area (you can easily walk by foot to the train station and the historic part of the city, public transport in easy reach, convenience shops nearby). The host is also very considerate, even though we didn't actually meet he provided all details for an easy check-in and was very responsive. The apartment is actually on two floors (ground & semi-basement), so in order to reach the second bedroom & bathroom you have to use round tight stairs. We didn't particularly dislike this, but those with mobility issues should consider the aspect before booking.
• Otar (10/5): Comfort, Quietness, and Pleasure - all together. - The Most quiet place in Brussels. Easy access to transport and supermarkets. Walking distance from the very centre of Arts and sightseeing in Brussels. Cozy 2-floor apartment with 2 large bedrooms and 2 living areas + kitchen and wonderful terrace. Nothing like that. Would be great to have a bit larger stairs in home, but for the family of 3 or for it is very good and importantly, very affordable.

Good accessibility by public transport, metro 3 minutes, Brussels Midi train station within 10 minutes on foot. Communicative and accommodating owner.

• Eleanor (10/5): A wonderful stay! - The property was so lovely! We really enjoyed our stay! It was exceptionally clean and well equipped with everything we needed, as well as spacious and comfortable. Benoît was very welcoming and helpful, available to answer any questions through a message. Thank you! The property was in a great location, close to Porte de Hal metro station, Bruxelles-midi train station and walkable to a lot of nice shops and a big supermarket. The area and the property felt safe which made it all the more comfortable. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Brussels.

• Ladidaa (9/5): Great for groups of 4, in the middle between train station and city center - The apartment is well suited for 4 persons, and it even has a small terrace with a table & some chairs where you can sit during warm days and have a drink. The kitchen is well-equipped, you have tea, coffee and all the appliances that you may need during a longer stay. There's 2 bathrooms in the sense that one has a toilet & a very small sink, and the second one has a shower (great pressure!) and a large sink with mirror. It's useful with groups since more people can use these at the same time. Note that both are situated downstairs (basement level), and there is a very narrow, circular staircase from the ground floor to the basement, so it's a bit tricky and annoying to get there at night (although there is a small light over the stairs which is on at all times). The beds are really comfortable, the hosts are friendly, you're in walking distance from the center (20 minutes by foot) and from the Midi train station (15 minutes by foot) which is where the bus from the airport (Charleroi - Flibco bus) will drop you. Price was really great when we stayed here compared to others in the city (around 140 EUR/night, while others were over 200 EUR/night). The apartment is a bit humid, I guess it's because it's on the ground & basement level, not much that could be done about this, maybe have a dehumidifier installed. There is a bit of noise in the bedroom on the basement level coming from the street, as the windows are exactly at the feet of the people walking down the sidewalk. But I'm a light sleeper, so it might not bother everyone.

• Toz_elena (8/5): Overall good - Nice clean apartment.Good shower .Well equipped kitchen. Tea/ coffee provided. The top floor bedroom is nice and comfortable Large hall area. The location is close to the Zuid/Midi train station. There is a metro station about 5/6 minutes walk away. The bedroom in the semi basement level had a musty smell and mold in the corners The staircase leading downstairs to the bathroom and lower floor is narrow and very uncomfortable. It wouldn't be suitable for anyone with reduced mobility. Not the nicest neighbourhood. When we just arrived and were figuring out which door is the apartment, a man approached us and told us to mind our bags because it was dangerous around there. We didn't feel unsafe any time tho, but we were a group of 4. If I was by myself, I would have felt differently.. We did see antisocial behaviour at the metro station and drug dealing in the park nearby.
• Cristina (10/5): Exceptional - We spent 3 night at at Bruxelles ma belge and we had everything we needed (and more!). We arrived around midnight and Benoit was very accommodating, he came over in the middle of the night to give us the keys. There's a lockbox at the door, we left our key there when we left, so that made things easier for us. Benoit left us cookies, coffee pods and tea, that was very appreciated, as we had to get up early :) The apartment was very clean, comfy beds, a well-equipped kitchen (Nespresso machine, electric kettle, all the utensils one would need to cook meals), clean bathroom, a lot of space in closets for our clothes and personal items, extra blankets, very good wifi etc. There's a small Carrefour express nearby, as well as other shops, a coffeeshop and restaurants in the vicinity, and it's close to the metro as well. All in all, it was a great experience and we´d love to stay at Bruxelles ma belge for our future trips to Brussels :)

The stairs need a bit of attention, some steps are cracked and some screws need tightening. The back right hand door hinge appears to be coming loose.

• Pia (8/5): Very good - The Appartement was really nice and had a small terrace. The owner gave us keys and recommendatios on what to do in the area and the City Centre. The appartment is over two floors with a narrow spiral staircase. The bathroom is downstairs.

The hosts were very nice, generous and polite, we had everything we needed. The rooms and terrace were very spacious and nicely designed. We'll definitely stay here anytime we come back to Brussels.

Location is good It's important to read: anybody with mobility issues or if overweight will struggle to get to the toilet and bathroom. It's situated downstairs, and going down is very tricky due to narrow, spiral, and steep staircases (see photos). For us, it was doable, but I had to move sideways and very carefully.
• Chunyu (8/5): Very good - This apartment is located within walking distance to Brussels Midi train station, around 15-20 minutes with luggages. The owner is very friendly. The space is much larger than what it looks from photo (and what we expected) and it's very clean. It's at a quiet neighborhood so you can enjoy good sleep at night. The toilet and bathroom are located underground floor so need to go downstairs. It's not a big problem if you only stay within one week.
