Guest Reviews
- Valeriu (7/5): Good -
- Alex (9/5): Great Hotel, great views - Great location, very close to the sphynx entrance for Giza. Staff very helpful and amazing views of the pyramids! Confusion with airport pick up and tried selling driver to us for pyramid despite close walk. Was a lot of construction noise, whilst no Thier fault ear plugs had to be chased down
- Liz (7/5): Reasonable accommodation with a fantastic view of the pyramids - Fantastic view of the pyramids. Good Egyptian breakfast Room was very small and old but does the job.
- Reids05 (8/5): Very good - The views from the breakfast table was amazing looking at the pyramids. Very large breakfast. Pyramids entrance is 2 minute walk from the hotel. Felt that the staff were a bit pushy to book an exsurshion, texting me every 2 minutes.
- Tasha (10/5): Exceptional - Customer service all staff were attentive and very welcoming, always willing to go above and beyond.
View is spectacular, nestled on the side of a busy street, so you are not hearing too much. Waking up to the pyramids is a dream come true. Thankful again for the staff
Beds were nice and firm as we liked it. The pickup service was great he educated us while driving to the hotel. We requested special service for my husband's birthday, which they delivered, and upon arrival, the room was all set up. Breakfast included was amazing filled us up for a long day of touring ahead.
Your guests from Auckland, New Zealand 🇳🇿 No elevator, haha, but I believe my body is more thankful.
- Flavia (9/5): 100% worth value for money. Incredible Staff and pyramids view form balcony and terrace - Rooms are very spacious, terrace is amazing and staff really kind We asked for a double bed and we got twins beds. Very noisy street but its Cairo so you need to get used to it
- Aleksei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fama (4/5): Disappointing - The staff were welcoming and nice I was disappointed by the rooms and the hotel itself it was not like in the pictures.
- Dzsimi (6/5): overall ok for 1-2 nights, but there's still room for improvement - The hostel is really close to the entrance of the Giza pyramid complex. The view from the rooftop is pretty good. They kindly gave us free water whenever we asked for it. The photos of our room here are misleading: while on the pictures there is a decent space between the beds, in reality if the beds are pushed apart, there no chance to move inside the room, it is so tiny.
The hostel can organize you tours, but expect extremely overpriced offers. The breakfast was cold every morning, no matter what time we arrived (though it was also abundant, and the staff were kind). The chosen outdoor furniture is not the best, every morning the tapestries of the chairs were moist.
Prices of the rooftop bar/restaurant are not consistent: first night we payed 150EGP for a beer, the 4th night it was 200EGP already. Prices vary among the menus too, so you may end up paying more than expected (I would suggest taking a photo of the prices on the menu you get before ordering). It happened to us.
Room cleaning was upon request only, as everything else too, like bottles of water and toilet paper. However, we got everything that we asked for.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - We chose the hotel for the location and the view. But, it was so much better than expected. The guys from the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. They made sure everything was perfect and because of them the trip couldn't have gotten any better.
- Marie-france (7/5): Good - Beautiful view of the pyramids (you see two out of three of them from the terrasse where you can have breakfast). The breakfast is hearty (eggs, falafel, fruit etc) and the staff is helpful. In general I would not recommend staying close to the pyramids during your stay in Cairo. Although the hotel was ok, the neighbourhood is quite loud, the streets are not well maintained, the sellers insist a lot on you buying souvenirs as soon as you come out of the hotel street, it is tiring. It would be nice if the breakfast was more varied from day to day. I found no trashcan in the room but once I asked for it, the staff provided one. Suggested tour prices to visit touristic spots are quite expensive compared to what you would spend moving by uber or careem.
- Tiffany (5/5): Passable - The views. Friendly staff. Food. Room.
- Matthias (3/5): If you want to stay in a ok room this hotel is fine. I can't recommend putting trust into the staff. - The room was ok with enough space. The room was equipped with two separate beds, air condition, fridge, space to sit, its own bathroom and a balcony with seats.
After all the room is ok.
If it's just about the room for you, this hotel is ok. You can't see the biggest Pyramide because another hotel is standing in front of it.
The staff pretends to be polite, they offer help to get my money and then they cheated me. For example they organized me a sim card with 20 Gig internet and in they end it was just 1 Gig of internet and I had to spend additional money (they already charged extra money for the sim card and the internet but still betrayed to get even more money).
The breakfast is ok but exactly the same every day. They demand service fee for the included breakfast. We paid it at the first day and then refused to pay it on the other days.
The food on the menu is extremely overpriced (we paid more then 40€ for our first dinner, the most expensive meal we had in all of our vacation) and we received very bad food quality (burned grilled chicken and burned grilled mixed plate).
There is no room cleaning. If you stay more then two days that can become annoying.
The pickups and tours they offer are very expensive. It's a lot cheaper to get just a local driver. For example via indrive (cash only!) or uber.
The offered me a free ride to the airport to write them a 10 star reference. Therefore be careful with the good references here.
- Ramires19 (9/5): very nice place to stay - locattion, very friendly staff, view from terrace, view from the room
- Alun (9/5): Superb - Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room with great balcony views. Room facilities fine, good shower, fridge, etc.
Overall good VFM.
- Alaz (8/5): Awesome performance compared to price - The breakfast was very fulfilling, home made and made of local dishes. The service was really fast, although the food was prepared on spot and the waiters were very friendly, although they spoke little English. The clear and amazing pyramid views on the terrace were the highlight of our mornings. The staff was very friendly and they prepared us welcome drinks late at night, although we arrived around 3.00 AM at the hotel. The address on this website doesn't show the correct location on Google Maps, so we had a little difficulty reaching the right one. We demanded extra towels after our second day, which we were informed that we could have, but didn't get them in the end. The shower cabin had a leak and there would always be a lake in the bathroom every time we took shower. The neighborhood is very chaotic in terms of vehicle and animal (horses, camels) traffic and full of hagglers.
- Charlene (10/5): Perfect location, friendly staff :) - Perfect location, friendly staff :)
- Khadija (8/5): Very good -
- Eelke (9/5): Superb - Nice view from the roof to the piramids The area around the hotel is a bit old
- Çelik (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel iş very wonderful and staff iş very helpful and the view iş very good
- Ninad (10/5): Exceptional - Best breakfast, comfort in balcony with pyramids view in front with hot coffee
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - As a solo female traveller, I really appreciated the support from the staff in navigating my way around the area. They really all went above and beyond to make my stay as easy and as smooth as possible. The location is phenomenal. Having breakfast each morning looking at the pyramids was just incredible! I highly recommend staying here. Everything was perfect.
- Andrija (7/5): Good - - Beautiful view
- Nice and polite waiter at the rooftop
- Included transfer from airport to the hotel late around 2 a.m. We were very late but the driver still waited for us. Many thanks to him. - Higyene could be better. It wasn't bad but it should be improved.
- First night I did not get the room I paid so I found that unprofessional.
- I wanted to order a taxi from reception but the price was a rip off so I did not book. You expect when you order from them that you get a real price or a little bit higher but not 10-15 euros more than the one few steps outside.
- Andrew (5/5): Quaint boutique hotel with nice views of the pyramids - Quaint boutique hotel in great location with great pyramid views
- Sandra (5/5): Ok for 1 day. - Great view, friendly staff, good food. The neighbourhood, people trying charge you extra money for everything, you can’t relax. Very pushy in trying selling tours and stuff.
- Dizzy (1/5): Rip off hotel using three names - On booking .com. Room was available for $26 but he said after arriving that we had to pay $40 instead. Not good value for money. Room tiny, not much bigger than the double beer in it....really cramped We arrived at 2am. And left the hotel at 8am for tour. When we returned just after midday. He said it would be $20 to have a shower there....and he said we would have to accept a room that hadn't been cleaned. I told him get stuffed and that I'd be putting a review up detailing his behaviour. He then said if I wore a good review while in front of him I could have a free shower. I would rather people know the truth....this place is a kip....with dishonest staff
- Sai (10/5): Exceptional - Mohammad was the best! Thanks. I will be back.
- Atahan (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel and the room are generally hygienic and clean, the staff is kind, and it is very close to the landmarks.
- Verena (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was very delicious. The employees were super friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for visiting the pyramids. We would go there again in a heartbeat.
- Wax (8/5): Nice view dishonesty at the bar - The view was great just as shown on the image you can get a chance to see the pyramids lit up. The rooms were clean and had A/C.
The breakfast staff were amazing and very accommodating The bar staff were over charging for the beers I suspect that he was keeping the extra difference, usually paid 140 - 150 Egyptian pounds for a beer which is already expensive but here I wa abeojg charged 200 when I questioned the staff he quickly changed the price to the expected price.
- Luxmeeta (10/5): Exceptional - Very good
- Catherine (10/5): Excellent and superb!!! - Location is perfect! Just a few minutes walk to the Pyramids. Restaurants and shops are close by.
Very friendly staff, accommodating and patient.
Highly recommended 👍 Nothing
- Charlene (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, very friendly and welcoming staff, aircon worked perfect and is new, WiFi worked perfect in room , would come back again ,thankyou :)
- Sarah (5/5): Our stay was rather unpleasant at many levels, but the view of the pyramids eased the disappointment - I appreciated the location and the view, as well as the kindness of the staff, especially Mohammed, who greeted us with souvenirs from Egypt upon our arrival and was accommodating when we requested a later breakfast service due to our late check-in past midnight. The neighborhood was unpleasant, and the stairs were difficult to climb. The room was extremely small, and noise from both inside and outside the hotel made it hard to sleep soundly. While the cleanliness was acceptable, the breakfast was unappealing, though the staff who served it were very accommodating to our requests.
- Annalisa (5/5): Location and breakfast great. Room Fine. People-pressurising con men with no integrity or regard for your safety. - It is really well located. The breakfasts are delicious. 1. On arriving at the airport, the pre booked shuttle was late- leaving me to the mercy of being hassled by the men at the airport exit.
The whole point of booking this hotel was to avoid this hassle.
2. On arriving very late and tired to the hotel, I was press ganged into booking a tourist trip for an extortionate $80 I was basically not permitted to leave till I booked . The tour was a disaster, les by an angry haranguing conspiracy theorist who changed the itinerary to take me to several shops to be left alone to be pressured into buying things I did not need.
3. The tour was supposed to be all inclusive but I was told I must buy entry tickets for the guide and his driver
4. I cut the tour short- I am not a fan of being harangued and hassled. And so did not camel ride or have lunch - I complained to the hotel and they gave me lunch .
5. The shower leaked and flooded the bathroom
6. In cahoots with the tour guide they agreed 25$ was fair for a taxi to the bus stop, having already got quotes from several companies and Uber saying 300 egp ( $5), I debated this. They agreed that I was wrong and they were right . I showed them on Uber and they began to apologise profusely.. and accused Uber drivers of being crack addicts.
6. They bought me a necklace and flimsy toyrysw purse to say sorry and drive me to the bus stop for free and begged me to leave a good review. (
I am yet to see a refund for the tour or money back for the tickets.
This hotel did not look after me at all, it was not a safe place. It ripped me off, knowingly and tried to do so mire than once . Add to that, as a female sole traveller, this was appalling treatment.
It says it all that they harass all their clients to leave good reviews , rather than honest ones.
I stayed 2 nights and now I am writing from a bed with stomach flu- probably from there as it’s the only place I had been before it came on.
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional - The room was clean .The staff was very friendly.the balcony view was 👍😎
