- Fran (9/5): enjoyed our stay, first time in Sarapiqui. Loved the loft! - excellent location for our planned activities. close to restaurants and stores. close to a main road. A little to dark in the house! Not completely fenced in for our perro!
- Cosima Sofie (10/5): -
- Adri (10/5): Perfecta, privada - Exelente para compartir, mucha privacidad super cómoda, equipada me. Encantó
- Jade (8/5): A home from home in nature. - I loved everything about this cabin. It was pet friendly and close to a river and nature for dog walks.
It had everything you could need to make it feel like home, laundry facilities, a garden, great kitchen and lots of space. I particularly loved the loft which I did yoga in each morning.
From the cabin you could also see wildlife in the trees, many birds, iguanas and sloths.
The cabin was cleaned every 3-4 days and since I stayed for 12 days, I found this to be a great service. The cabin is relatively close to the road which makes it a little noisy. You can still hear nature around you but the loud trucks were annoying sometimes. It didn't ruin my experience at all, it's just something to mention for other guests.
- Richard (9/5): Very nice , clean, quaint, clean rustic. I would come back and recommend it to those on a budget. -
- Rachel (10/5): Great little place, great value - Cute, well appointed. ,close to grocery and restaurants Better for people with vehicle
- Kaare (7/5): Nice house, nice location, good value for money. Construction of the house is an issue, though. - Nice, quiet location. Very nice owner. The river is right across the construction site. Plenty of space. Easy access to sights. All windows are firmly barred, and the bars cannot be opened from inside. In a house made of wood, with shaky-looking electrical installations and a gas stove, I personally find that unacceptably risky. It's the sole reason I would not want to return, and the reason it's not an 8 or 9/10.
- Nora (10/5): Perfect overnight stay - Beautiful little house with excellent lounge area upstairs with a lovely view to watch the birds.
- Aisling (10/5): Awesome cabin stay! - We had a lovely week-long stay. This cabin is very unique. It is a log cabin just off the main road in Sarapiquí, right beside the river that is constantly busy with passing rafts and kayaks.
There are two bedrooms and an extra airbed upstairs. The place has a well equipped kitchen, there is limited counter space for cooking but that's a small thing.
There is a washer and clothes line outside that you can use. Geovany even brought a large desk and office chair in one of the bedrooms during our stay which was awesome! For anyone working, the WiFi is the best we've had in all of Costa Rica. It's super fast and good for video calls.
The upstairs is super cool! It's totally open, more than I expected, but we loved that! It felt like we were in a treehouse. During thunderstorms it's especially great. There is a big tv up there so we spent a lot of time up there in the evenings to relax. Of course some creatures come in, mainly just some flies and moths. It was totally fine actually. The floors are definitely treated here because we never got ants of anything crawling in like that.
Geovany also visited during our visit and did a full clean, changing sheets, towels etc. it was great. Right now there is a bridge being built right beside the cabin. Works start sometimes as early as 6am, but it's not too bad. Also I'm sure the works won't be on for much longer.
Not a lot of counter space in the kitchen.
- Andrei (9/5): Just like camping with quite a few nice extras. - Plenty of space, very quiet, plenty of vegetation in the garden. Excellent WiFi connection. Just off the Route 4, not too far from the Route 126 -- can drive in 3 directions. Short walk to the river. A small grocery store and a nice restaurant just across the street. It was a little hard to turn around the car on a narrow driveway. Also, I could not figure out how to operate laundry and the dryer. A little hard to find, once you turn south from route 4 to an "unnamed road" to El Roble, first right behind an open gate.
- Peter (10/5): Would highly recommend, or return ourselves. Thankyou. - Seeing true Costa Rican life. Friendly, safe neighbourhood. Morning walks to see people, gardens, flowers, monkeys. White water raft trip was spectacular. Right out front of home. Loved sleeping in loft and coffee overlooking cow, rooster and hens. Perfecto!! Beautifully constructed building. Many special touches for comfort.
