• Bernhard (9/5): perfekte Location abeits des Touristenrummels - Schönes Apartment in perfekter und ruhiger Lage auf der Giudecca. Die Vaporetto-Station Zitelle ist 1 Geminute entfernt. in unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich 2 Luxushotels, die aber hinsichtlich Lautstärke überhaupt nicht auffallen. Im Umkreis von 5 Geminuten gibt es ein kleines Lebensmittelgeschäft, eine Bäckerei, Cafes und einen Obst-/Gemüsehändler. Das Appartment befindet sich im Obergeschoss und ist sehr gut mit Küchenutensilien ausgestattet. Die Küche teilt man sich mit einem zweiten vermieteten Apartment, dies funktioniert problemlos. Die Fenster verfügen über Mückenschützgitter. Und man hat einen schönen Blick auf einen grünen, ruhigen Garten. Gewöhnungsbedürftig sind die sehr harten und großen Kopfpolster (Kissen), hier könnte der Vermieter durch Beschaffung weicherer Polster nachbessern. Das sehr breite Doppelbett verfügt über ein hölzernes Kopf- und Fußhaupt, was für sehr große Personen über 190 cm etwas beengend ist.

• gregoire (10/5): Haven on the Giudecca Island overlooking San Marco, very close to a vapporetto station. - We rented half of an old family house in perfect state. All clean, all fresh, with a shared garden where we'd have loved to spend time if it weren't that we wanted to explore the city. the interior of the house is decorated the way it's always been so don't expect a new, unpersonal set up, but more of a Venitian family vibe. Dino welcomed us with a great smile. Just the nicest way to start in Venice, a city that is so overwhelmed by mass-tourism. Thank you for everything!

Dino, il nostro host, è stato gentilissimo, ci ha aiutato con le escursioni e ci ha offerto un bicchiere di vino e degli squisiti biscotti locali. La casa di famiglia è davvero speciale, dotata di tutto il necessario e anche di più. Il giardino, con tanto di tartarughe, rimarrà per sempre nel mio cuore. Semplicemente il posto più magico, tranquillo e meraviglioso di Venezia. Le serrature sono vecchie e un po' fragili, andrebbero sostituite per evitare di sporcarsi dopo aver bevuto Aperol! Lo consiglio vivamente, continuate così, Dino e le tartarughe... un posto davvero speciale xx We stayed for two nights for my daughter's birthday, April 16 and 17, 2026. Dino, our host, was incredibly kind, helping us with excursions and bringing us loval wine n biscuits. The family home is truly special, equipped with everything we needed and more. The garden, complete with rescue Tortoises, will forever remain in my heart. Simply the most magical, peaceful, and wonderful place in Venice. The locks are old and a bit fragile; they should be replaced to avoid stress after drinking Aperol! I highly recommend it. • ursula (7/5): lage und garten waren sehr toll. beide wohnungen als familie zu mieten war gut. ich wäre bicht zufrieden, wenn ich eine - die lage auf der giudecca ist sensatinell: sehr ruhig, vaporetto quasi vor der tür, tolle sicht auf san marco. in der beschreibung war nicht ersichtlich, dass sich die zwei appartements eine küche teilen müssen. für uns als familie, die beide wohnungen gemietet hat, war es nicht schlimm. zudem sollte in der beschreibung der größeren wohnung vermerkt werden, dass das einzelzimmer das durchgangszimmer für das zweite schlafzimmer unterm dach ist, das über eine enge stiege erreichbar ist. der direkte gartenzugang ist auch nur über das größere appartement möglich. die wohnung ist ziemlich vollgestellt mit altem mobiliar, familienerinnerungen, fotos, bildern, …

• Chenxing (8/5): - Lovely house and garden. Lovely quiet location in giudecca and very close to the water bus stop. Very clean inside the flat. Very charming furniture and decoration. Gives you a sense of the authentic residential houses locally. Host Dino was very welcoming. Easy to leave the luggage after you checkout. An experience I would recommend! It was pretty cold in the flat in late October when we visited. I imagine the tiled floor must be pretty cooling during summer but in cold weather it was freezing to step on. It’s probably just because of the sewage system in Venice / giudecca overall but during the two days we stayed which it rained, the bathroom gradually started to smell of damp sewage. By the end of the second day we had to keep the bathroom door closed otherwise the smell would come out to the entire flat. Again, the canal did smell a bit bad those days too so it’s probably not fair to judge but we did stay in a hotel in San Marco couple of nights before and there wasn’t any smell then. You share the kitchen with another guest flat. The sound insulation between rooms wasn’t great in these old houses so if your neighbor use the kitchen and talk - it’s easy to wake up from the bedroom of your flat.

• Friederike (9/5): Unbedingt empfehlenswert wenn man nicht im Trubel wohnen will. - Es war sehr schön im Casa Eden. Das Appartement hat Charme und liegt sehr ruhig im Hinterhof, unweit der Station Zitelle. Man ist sehr schnell im Zentrum. Ausserdem gehört ein schöner Garten dazu in dem man sich nach langen Besichtigungen erholen kann. Dino ist ein toller Host und eir kommen gerne wieder. Wir hätten gerne zwei Decken gehabt und jetzt im Herbst hätte es gerne eine wärmere sein können.

Basically perfect. - Absolutely fabulous host and the accommodation is really authentic and unexpected The garden is beautiful and really an incredible bonus. The location is actually perfect even though you are not in the centre of Venice itself. So easy to get to and very close to the Vaporetto stop Zitelle. We got the ferry across to near St Mark's-2 stops total-then the Blue Line to the airport. That was a real treat. Dino is a fantastic host also. Very friendly and kind. If I could give this place an 11 if i could. 2nd bed upstairs a bit narrow. But that only applies is you're travelling as 2 singles. And you have to share the kitchen with just one other lot of guests. But it's really not a problem at all. We never saw them!

• Jenny (8/5): Very good - The most amazing location looking out to the island of Venice. Only 4 mins on the boat from main Venice gets you to this amazing place where you can get away from busy tourist places yet have the most amazing view out to Venice. Authentic proper Italian place. If you want a slick, hotel type place - this isn’t for you. If you want quirky, cats, tortoise, most amazing view when you leave the flat, locals to say hello to, cheaper places to eat etc, then this is the place to go.

• Michael (9/5): Came away thinking we’d found a perfect place to stay to explore Venice in a relaxed style. - Loved the location as away from the maddening crowd but still one vaporetto ride away from all places. The facilities to prepare and cook food, s as well as recommendable restaurants near by. And the host communicated well at all key points and wouldn’t be too far away if there had been any problems. Struggling to think of anything I didn’t like.
• Anna (9/5): Superb - Amazing location. Beautiful decor. Great facilities. There was a bit of wading through water on arrival due to a spectacular rain fall. Not sure if that weather is normal but wellies are a good idea.
• Danny (10/5): A wonderful stay in Giudecca! - This is a beautiful apartment in a peaceful part of Giudecca, but handy to the vaporetto and with easy access to most places - we were here for the Biennale and appreciated that we were a couple of stops from the Arsenale and Giardini. Your hosts are very welcoming and although we had little Italian Dino was very responsive in English on messenges. There is a peaceful garden out the back. A shared kitchen with another apartment meant we could prepare our own breakfast. There are good restaurants nearby and right out the front are excellent views. I hope we can stay again! Nothing would happily recommend.

• Sally (10/5): An oasis of calm in a magical city - We had a lovely time at Casa Eden! Gina and Dino are very welcoming hosts and Casa Eden is an oasis of calm, with its cool rooms and shady garden, a short boat ride from the main tourist attractions. Giudecca is the best place to stay in Venice, as you can sit on the quay with a glass of wine and see San Marco and the Doge’s palace across the lagoon.

• Anita (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay, the apartment is spacious, clean and quiet and it has a beautiful garden.The apartment is in an excellent location. The vaporetto stop is close by, the stop to San Marco takes only 5 minutes. There are lots of little restaurants in the area and if you want a great view over the city go to the rooftop bar of the Hilton hotel on the same island. Dino the host is very helpful and friendly.

• Anca (10/5): A piece of Eden - The location is great on a little island close to San Marco, the garden is fantastic,. You can enjoy your coffe in the morning or the sunset in the evening on the terraces located nearby in quiet The place is very clean and decorated in the old venetian style. I was a bit stressed that my kids could broke some of the things inside the house :), there are many glass objects. Because of the old furniture there is a bit of an "old" smell but not so bad.

The garden was truly the garden of eden..complete with turtles. We hated to leave. Thank you Dino for the most enjoyable stay during our trip of a lifetime!

Property is in an excellent central location, you walk out of the property gate and see the centre of Venice across the water (only a few mins by boat to cross, which run very frequently). Stunning view. Location is central but also quiet and escapes the crowds. Property is an absolute gem. Traditional Italian property with a stunning private garden, with resident tortoises that our children loved. Facilities excellent with a fully equipped kitchen. Excellent transport links. Very friendly and helpful host. Can’t recommend highly enough.
• Catalin (10/5): Very nice location - The host was very nice and helpful. Thank you, Dino! The place is very nice, quiet, and very close to San Marco Square: from the room to vaporetto take 2 minutes and with vaporetto to San Marco another 5 minutes. The bathroom, the bathroom, the hall and the kitchen are big. You must share the kitchen with the other guest from the other apartment (1 kitchen for 2 apartments), but I don't find this a problem. The private garden is very beautiful. I really recommend this location.

Lovely delicious restaurants and cafés at much cheaper prices than in the main island. Weather didn't let us enjoy the beautiful outside garden and BBQ space!

• Evans (10/5): Casa Eden: It really is the center of paradise on Giudecca - even in January off-season! - The location was very near Zitelle which is a vaporetto stop that makes Guidecca central to the other areas of Venice and Burano if you wanted to go there. I love Guidecca even in the off season and the garden as you come in is inviting, even at night. The room was quiet, with a perfect temperature. The mattress was ideal and sleeping was peaceful and ideal. Casa Eden is about as perfect as you can get for such a splendid and comfortable place that really feels like home and really feels like Venice. Very very occasional sound of scraping chair legs and that hardly happened, maybe once or twice. I'm being ultra critical as very few people would notice!
• Katerina (8/5): Lovely accommodation with nice Venetian style - Very cool, Venetian-looking property. The bedroom was bigger than I thought it’d be and it had a well-equipped kitchen that is usually shared, although we had it to ourselves as no one else was there. Its on a quieter area of Venice, but a 1 min walk from a water taxi stop that takes you to San Marco in minutes. It also has a really nice garden, although we got a lot of rain and didn’t get to hang out there! The host was very nice and welcoming, giving us some local wine and biscuits when we arrived! Although it didn’t affect us as no one else was staying, I didn’t realise before booking that the kitchen was shared. The host also lives in the house just across a little entranceway. This wasn’t really a negative as the host was lovely and not intrusive, however, I feel that it maybe made the accommodation feel a little less private.
• Michael (10/5): Exceptional - The place is amazing. Its a beautiful, quiet place in a very busy city. Its located near a vaporetto station from where you can get anywhere in Venice (even to the islands). The host, Dino, is amazing that is always available and ready to help.
• Claire (10/5): Exceptional - The back garden was lovely to have breakfast in, the facilities were homely and the location was great, just 1-2 water bus stops away from San marco. My partner thought the shower cubicle could have been bigger but apart from that we were really happy with our stay.
• Aniko (10/5): Paradise in Venice - The location is super, can be reached easily by vaporettot,it's just 100 m from station "Zitelle".The apartment is clean and very well equipped and run by the owner professionaly.Every guests are very friendly welcome by him with a welcome drink.The apartment overlooks a beatiful,well kept mediterranien garden which is really a peaceful quiet "Eden". Nothing!

The garden was restful and calming while the interior was filled with authentic furniture, paintings and fixtures giving the place a very unique life The low ceiling upstairs but couldn't be avoided because of both my height and the nature of the building. The water pressure in the shower was ok but one must make allowances while in Venice
