Guest Reviews
- Ľubomíra (5/5): -
- Dall'Amico (8/5): -
- Hayley (3/5): Disappointing - The location is great. From reading the reviews, it seems some got a great apartment while others didn’t. I hate leaving bad reviews & very rarely do but it was poor. We asked 3x through booking.com for early arrival. After travelling for 24 hours, we would have happily paid for it. But no response at all. Arrived at 12 noon just in case it was allowed. Host very kindly gave us key codes. However, on arrival at the apartment, it had not been touched since previous guests left. Beds not made, musty smell, dirty. I phoned host who promised to get a cleaner in. We came back at 3pm, tired after travelling, to find a cleaner had just arrived. This was now the official book in time. We asked the cleaner if we could stay while she cleaned as we were tired & she was lovely. She left at 4.30pm, our book in time was 3pm. Unacceptable. No handwash which is a basic hygiene must, one toilet roll, we had to buy these basic items. Only packets of sugar provided when others stated they had coffee pods. It has tea, coffee & garlic pots so these need to go as nothing is provided. Poor drainage in bathroom sink, uncomfortable sofa bed. The cleaner said the host would drop off pillow cases as she had none. None arrived. I slept on one thin pillow with no pillowcase. Really disappointed with my stay as the location is great. 10 mins to Vatican & Metro. It really needs updating, it is old, musty & light switches hanging off the wall.
- Marcus Lázaro (9/5): Excellent stay close to Vatican - Excellent location, very close to Vatican City Nothing
Polecam! Świetna lokalizacja wypadowa do zwiedzania pieszo. Pod mieszkaniem jest Carrefour express.
- Martina (9/5): -
- maria (10/5): - Posizione ottima, staff cordiale, ordine e pulizia.
- ZOE (7/5): Good but needs an update - Location was amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful gave us instructions and help when needed There were little things missing that we had to buy ourselves ( hand soap , clean dish sponge etc.) . Also the bed in one room is super noisy and not comfortable at all as well as the pillows have exceeded their life span ) . Needed to be cleaned more thoroughly.
- Ferguson (10/5): - Clean and comfortable bed.
- Petko (9/5): - The location is very good for cars. We skipped the narrow Roman streets that are in the center and we had no trouble finding park space. Parking in the blue zone outside is 7 euros per day. The apartment is very big with comfy beds and great wi-fi. Instructions for check in were easy to follow. The host is responsive and helpful. The washing machine didn't work and it has the world's smallest shower cabin.
- Cecelia (9/5): The location next to the Vatican and close to the metro was wonderful. Great experience. - The hosts provided excellent instructions including videos to explain the process to enter the building and get the keys. The only think that was a bit of an issue was figuring out the washing machine. Because the information was in Italian and I wasn't sure which settings to use. I reached out an got a helpful response right away and loved the convienence of being able to clean clothes.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (9/5): Great location, quiet, good directions and communication. - Cant beat the location, one block from Vatican museum and two from a metro stop
- Gianmarco (9/5): Superb -
- Omraade (7/5): Nice apartment, but wouldn't recommend if you have a toddler - A lot of space, comfortable bed, warm apartment (in November, has central heating), various kitchen appliances, super nice towels, easy to communicate with owner, lift in a building, a cot at no extra cost. Generally don't recommend this apartment if you have a toddler - many things are within their reach (kettle and toaster on lower shelf), cleaning supplies under the sink, oven knobs that cannot be secured, etc. All of those in a kitchen with a broken door which wouldn't close.
If you don't have a small kid and the above doesn't worry you - just be warned there is mold in the shower, and the shower is very small (roughly 70x70 cm). Other than that the apartment is dated, but good value.
- Cheryl (9/5): Very comfortable stay. - This is a very comfortable apartment with lots of space and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Our host was very responsive to all of our requests. The air conditioning was excellent.
- Briar (8/5): We were able to explore lots of Rome on foot due to its central location. - Great location in accessing all there is to see in Rome. There is an abundance of restaurants and cafes to explore and the carrefour supermarket is also very convenient in getting supplies for your stay. I didn't receive communication about check in until very late, the apartment is very hard to find and with no check in information it took us a long time to get access to the apartment. Better signage on the roadside would help with locating the premises and earlier communication about the check in process.
- Emesha (6/5): Pleasant - Cordless vacuum cleaner but it was left full of dirt.
Swiffer and cleaning sprays.
Dustpan and brush.
Plenty of toilet paper, garbage bags.
Valeria responded quickly to repair of washing machine.
Proximity to the Vatican
Supermarket near by, don't use the Carrefour ridiculously overpriced and not a large selection. Go up the street 50m to the Todis, bigger selection, better prices and quality of produce. Description says garden views, there is no garden view. All windows look onto inner courtyard, other apartments and carpark.
Listed additional toilet, there is only 1 toilet.
No water on arrival.
Hardwood or parquet floors listed, the floor is laminate.
Needs doorstops to stop doors blowing closed when windows open.
Toilet has a slow leak from the cistern to the bowl and toilet seat is not properly secured.
Safe is available but requires an additional payment of €15.
Kitchen
No cheese/vegetable grater
No potato peeler
No scissors
No tongs
No real knives for cooking, only small serrated steak knives.
No kitchen towel, tea towel or hand towel in kitchen.
Cleaning cloths and sponges are old went out and bought our own + kitchen towel.
No real dining area, have to eat in one of the bedrooms at the table.
Smallest hotplate not working.
No foil / baking paper, however there was plastic wrap.
No ovenproof dishes to bake in the oven.
Bedroom Frida Kahlo
Bedframe is broken on the left side and the mattress has a definite sag in the middle. The mattress is 2 mattresses on top of each other. Very uncomfortable, I had to sleep on the lounge.
Laundry
Washing machine was broken on arrival. Arrived Tue machine fixed by Thur evening, did waste some of my time and stressed me out.
- Dan (8/5): Location was great. - Location. Large apartment Small shower. Hard mattress and pillows
- Anne (4/5): Disappointed with condition of apartment specifically the bathroom shower and sink. - there was no breakfast which we knew from the start. The location of the apartment was very good. The shower wand was broken and the bathroom sink all stopped up. We arrived on Sunday and not corrected until Wednesday. So we had to deal with these for 3 of our 4 nights stay. This should have been working prior to our arrival.
- Vivienca (7/5): Perfect location - Very good location! A good two bedroom apartment for our family of 6. The host is very responsive and helpful which made our stay easy. Wished there were additional blankets and bowls as there were only plates. The mattress on the sofa bed is also uncomfortable.
- Acel (10/5): The apartment is nice, quaint and perfect for a family of four. Great location, there’s a near by mini mart, dozens of - Great Location!!! The only draw back is no bathtub
(very useful for small kids) and shower stall is very narrow.
- Weijia (8/5): Very good - The apartment has the best location, only 4 minutes to Vatican for walk The bed in one of the bedrooms is a sofa bed, which is not very comfortable
- Paola (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad - The location only From the moment I stepped foot through the apartment door, it was one disappointment after another. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible my experience was.
I was hit with a musty, unpleasant odor that lingered throughout my entire stay. The cleanliness was abysmal, with dusty surfaces, especially under the beds which caused difficulty in breathing. The bedding were uncomfortable. It was clear that no effort was put into maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for guests.
To make matters worse, when I texted the owner to show them the pictures of dirtiness and dust, they came and said “ we are not a hotel to clean up all the time“ sorry but you didn’t clean at all and this is to fix up the problem. And also the cleaner take a kitchen knife!!! to release the water in the bathroom because the bathtub sink was clogged. I never went to a hospital to get oxygen and I did this time because My sister and I couldn’t breath from the dust. The apartment really ruined our stay in Rome.
It was clear that guest satisfaction was the last thing on their minds.
I would never recommend to anyone.
- Bal (10/5): It was great to live there. Very helpful owner. Any one choosing to visit Rome advised to choose this Appartment. - Vatican City is next door. Lift to the Appartment. Secure.
- Kristrún (8/5): Very good -
- Marija (10/5): Comfortable and nice apartment - Valeria was a wonderful host, responsive and helpful. Apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we needed, even coffee capsules, which was a really nice touch. Location was great, 20min walk to center and literally next to Vatican museums. I highly reccomend this accomodation for both short and longer visits to Rome. Everything was great.
- Anonymous (9/5): it was beautiful. - location is very good.close to everything.Valarie is very helpful.
- Leonie (8/5): Very good - excellent location, comfortable beds shower was very cosy for someone over 6 feet
- Andrius (8/5): Very good - location, everything is close, easy to explore the city very loud neighbours
- Nicolai (8/5): Very good -
- Neda (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, spacious place, very close to Vatican. Good communication, easy check in and out.
- Barak (10/5): Exceptional - Great hosts. very nice people
the house is located in a central area in Rome, but in a very quiet street
the house is fully equipped and clean nothing, just perfect
- Audrey (9/5): Superb - Ivan and Roberta were excellent hosts and easily contacted. We availed of airport shuttle which was good value and excellent service by Ivan who is extremely friendly. Great location near shops , restaurants, the Tre Cafe around the corner is lovely for continental breakfast. The apartment is a few minutes walk to Vatican and Metro, it was spotless and had everything you required. We really enjoyed are stayed there and would recommend.
- L (9/5): Modern apartment a minute from the Vatican - The apartment is in a residential building with a porter, very secure. The Vatican Museums is about 200 metres from the apartment, shop is next to the entrance, restaurants on the street, underground and buses also close by, perfect location. Very spacious rooms with aircon, kitchen well equipped. Four of us (all adults) stayed there for 2 nights and it was comfortable, even would be with a fifth person. The owners are really kind and helpful. We had a late check in at 11 pm and it was no issue, they could be contacted at any time. They even offered transfer by car from and to the airport for a very reasonable price so it was very comfortable for the 4 of us and took less than 30 mins. Would definitely stay there again.
- Dina (10/5): Our dream trip made by Roberta & Ivan - I chose this apartment for me and my family to stay in Rome for 4 days. From the very beginning, Roberta and Ivan were extremely kind and accommodating. Communication was perfect. As a guest, I am very demanding, but they managed to exceed all my expectations. Ivan met us at the airport in the middle of the night and that was a big plus because we were traveling with children. Driving in a Tesla was a real experience. When we arrived at the apartment, everything was extremely clean and tidy. We felt like at home. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you can imagine that you will need. We were particularly impressed by the location of the apartment, the Vatican is a few minutes' walk away, the first shop is only a few steps away, and so is the restaurant. Roberta and Ivan are wonderful hosts that I would recommend to everyone and I hope to see them next time we decide to come to Rome.
- Niall (10/5): Exceptional - The location is superb. Very close to the Vatican, 5 minutes walk to the entrance to the Vatican museum, 15 minutes walk to St Peters and 5 minutes from a metro station.
The apartment is clean, very Italian, well kitted out and the elevator is wonderful.
Oh, and the much needed air conditioning worked perfectly. THANK GOD😁
The beds were extremely comfortable 👍👍👍👍👍
Both rooms are very spacious!
I found having a Carrefour shop 10 meters away from the front entrance very useful and it was open 7 days per week!
The hosts, Ivan and Roberta, were charming beyond words, very welcoming and the shuttle service to and from airport in their Tesla is worth every penny.
I cannot recommend this apartment more😁 If I had to put something negative, there was no view from the apartment as it overlooked an internal court yard BUT a view was not promised so I am not disappointed. So in my opinion there is nothing negative about the apartment.
- Martha (9/5): Great location, helpful owner, accommodating. - Great location, ample room for family of 4, allowed us to arrive early and leave bags before official check-in time. Complicated lock and entrance; located in a locked apartment building.
- Lisa (9/5): Loved it and was amazing. great hosts. - good location and very clean with a lot of space. No place to sit and eat meals. But there was a table we moved into the bedroom.
