• Lara (10/5): 20/10 stars - I loved everything about this place!!! The central location (to a plethora of activities), the house and the pool, and the hosts!!! Everything was so clean! The rooms had very good AC, the pool was clean and so refreshing, and the host went out of her way to make sure we were happy and welcome. There are several good options for food within walking distance or a short drive, La Paz waterfall gardens is an easy 45 minute drive away, and there are tons of other activities in the area. I highly recommend this property. If I find myself in the area again I will definitely book this and would be willing to make my dates around the availability!! The only thing I regret is that I didn’t book it for longer!!!

The Rojas Family are super lovely, caring hosts & really help to make your stay feel just like home (ONLY BETTER!!!). We had the breakfast every morning & WOW it was amazing! NO need for lunch that's for sure! The pool area is super gorgeous & we really enjoyed relaxing there. BONUS I'm a real bird lover & I found SOOOOO many birds right in their backyard, including Toucans & Macaws!!! Amazing!!! Great location for all of the major waterfalls in the Bajos del Toro Alajuela area. This was our first trip to Costa Rica & hopefully not our last & when we do come back you can be assured, we will stay at Casa Alexa again! Thank you for such a great time, your hospitality is outstanding. We hated to leave!!!

Los anfitriones fueron increíblemente amables desde el primer momento, haciéndonos sentir como en casa. Además, encargamos comida y desayuno, y nos encantó todo: estaba delicioso y preparado con mucho cariño. Sin duda, lo mejor ha sido el trato tan cercano y acogedor, nos hicieron sentir como parte de la familia. ¡Repetiremos encantados! Nada

• Osnat (10/5): - The house is very beautiful, large, there is a heated pool, there is a separate area with a long table that is suitable for a very large family. Everything is very clean, very pleasant. The family helps with everything you need, including laundry, extra blankets or towels. There are separate towels for the pool and there are bath towels. The family also helped us with recommendations for trips in the area and even called for us and inquired about places at the restaurant. Highly recommended. Everything

The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location felt private and serene, yet close enough to explore local attractions. The host was warm, responsive, and made sure every detail was perfect. Honestly, nothing to complain about — our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

• Christopher (10/5): Beautiful house in beautiful location! - Beautiful house on a beautiful property in a beautiful location with beautiful sunsets and a gracious host! We enjoyed the pool at sunset and exploring the local waterfalls - especially hiking to the newly opened and hard-to-find Pozas y Cascadas La Presa! You'll feel like Indiana Jones, but the reward is well was worth it! Best of all, almost no tourists! The house is fully equipped, perfectly clean and super comfortable.

The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, every space was spotless, the host was responsive, the outdoor spaces were amazing, the A/C in the bedrooms worked great, and the price was right. I wish we would have stayed more than one night. There are so many places to hike within 30 minutes of the home. If we are in the area again, I would definitely stay here again.
