Perfect Location very short walk to eagle bay beach convenient for kids since it’s close enough to carry all the gear with no dramas and you can go back and forth several times a day.
The house itself is large with plenty of space for everyone and room for parking. There is a front gate which is good for safety/kids.
Outdoor area and front patio are furnished well. Cons
The house is tired and needs a deep clean/ paint job. The walls and doors (external and internal) door handles, light switches are all visibly dirty and so is some of the furniture. It’s obvious that whoever is using this house the majority of the time doesn’t take care of it the way that paying guests are expected to take care of it.
There were a LOT of mosquitoes and bugs we kept all windows and doors closed however they were everywhere.
The only tv in the house is in a seperate closed off room which means you can’t see the tv from the lounge/dining/kitchen which is annoying if there was something you wanted to watch (footy, tennis etc) plus the furniture in the tv room is covered in stains so we just avoided that room altogether.
A few other very small issues such as the Kitchen missing some basic items eg cooking oil, more than one chopping board (one large wooden chopping board is all that’s provided) and oven mits. Otherwise overall the kitchen amenities were good.
Private properties were beyond fantastic to deal with in particular Mark and Tracy. Both very professional and kind - we wouldn’t hesitate to book through private properties again and will do so however for the price of this specific house I wouldn’t stay here again and would hesitate to recommend it to other potential guests as it’s not up to the standard of other holiday homes in the area at a similar price point.
