- Acacia (10/5): 10/10 would stay again - Coming off a 3 week trip with minimal sleep, i booked the Bosphorus Sea View room for 1 night to relax and reset and it was heaven. From when you walk into the room, it is stunning, spacious and luxurious. Extremely comfortable bed, stunning double vanity bathroom with a big bath tub, dual rainfall and handheld shower. I only had one window overlooking the Bosphorus but it was still stunning, the other windows overlooked the courtyard. This room is a little on the expensive side but it was money well spent as I was in there from when I checked in to when I checked out. Breakfast was al a carte and was nice. I would definitely stay here again and again and again. That I didn't stay longer.

Very nice property, very royal service, super friendly and professional staff. My accommodation was in room 224, it’s a courtyard view but I enjoyed the Bosphorus partial view! High ceiling, large windows, spacious, nice layout, heated marble bathroom, high quality toiletries, comfy bed, high-tech system for the lights and shades. I didn’t experience any noise even the music in the courtyard did not disturb me. To make it a stay for the body and soul I gifted myself a traditional turkish bath, the spa is in the top of the mountain! So you can give it a hike or the hotel is offering golf car to take you there, stunning view from the top. I enjoyed the spa facilities sauna and steam room before the hamam which done by a turkish lady her name is Behar, very nice experience. Hint: choose your stay with breakfast and the spa is a must to try! My breakfast experience at chef Erdal was very pleasant, very cozy and relaxed ambience in the glass house. i have been served by Dogan very attentive, friendly and super professional, he speaks English very well and this is a plus for non-Turkish speakers, also thanks to Elif, she speaks English as well, very helpful and friendly, believe me your experience will be perfect when they both in duty. The menu is ‘A la carte’ with a small buffet, very fresh ingredients, well presented, and delicious. Hint: don’t go when you’re in low carb diet as their bakery selection is irresistible and heavenly good 😋 -

- Elvis (1/5): Six Senses turned what should have been the happiest day of my life into a nightmare - We stayed at Six Senses Kocataş Mansion on our wedding day, expecting an unforgettable experience from such a renowned property, but sadly, it fell short in several ways. While the location is undeniably beautiful, with stunning views of the Bosphorus and an air of historical charm, the service and management were not up to par. One of the most disappointing aspects was the staff, who were not as polite or accommodating as one would expect from a five-star establishment. Rather than the warm and attentive service we anticipated, we encountered unprofessional behavior that made our stay less enjoyable. Communication was lacking, and there seemed to be a general disorganization that left us feeling overlooked during what should have been a seamless experience. While the property itself has immense potential, the service quality needs significant improvement to match its beautiful setting. Unfortunately, the shortcomings in staff attitude and management overshadowed the grandeur of the location, making our special day less memorable than we had hoped.

The spa up on the hill is truly an amazing little gem, and the drive up and down the steep hill by hotel buggy was memorable. Great location on the bosphorus with lovely views. Great service each night in Scalini's italian restaurant with wonderful food .

Hope to be back and find it excellent as usual. - Thank you for the kids club staff, reception ladies and traditions that you keep for the clients through ages. I really adore this hotel and stay its client for many years. But decided to share my opinion cause things getting worth and I hope my review will give a hint to make the hotel great again. We came for one night, it was my husband birthday. I wrote it ahead. But there were no congratulations as far as the suggested upgrade was for money like the regular rate on the website. Second thing - kid facilities, it was always a pleasure to find bathrobe and small slippers, this time nothing was provided, we even were not suggested to have additional bad and sleep together ))) In the evening we went out for shisha, we were waiting for shishaman to come to us for 20 minutes, then we found out with waiters help that he can’t understand cause doesn’t know English. How could it be?! ) And finally - breakfast. No additional buffet with sweets as it was and the waiter tried to convince us to seat inside cause he expected the rain. We stayed at the terrace and there was no rain but his pressure was very uncomfortable. So many things to improve. This hotel is so unique and lovely but service is getting awful, no attention to details-missing birthday information, payment for upgrade at regular rate)), kid arrival and preferences of regular clients is the way to loose loyalty. Hope I will help to improve and six senses will be our best one in Istanbul again

- Kirill341 (10/5): Exceptional - We totally enjoyed our stay in Six Senses Kocatas Mansions. The hotel is located just at the shore of Bosphorus within a short walk from many local restaurants. It has a lot of amenities and perks, the best of which is a SPA with infinity pool overlooking Bosphorus. The in-house restaurants and drinks are a bit pricey. Otherwise everything was just perfect.

- Alexey (10/5): Exceptional - It is my top three hotels in Istanbul together with Mandarin Oriental and Kempinski, but more relaxed and charming. Nothing to complain about. The place is great, comfortable and worth it's cost. Highly recommended if you are choosing among 5* luxury segment. The only small minus is that the place is quite far from historic center and popular places you usually visit as a tourist (assuming traffic in Istanbul which sometime is terrible on the European side)). But it does not make an impression worse, not at all.

The hotel is more beautiful than it looks on the photos. We really enjoyed our stay. No electric plugs in the bathroom. We would have loved to stay longer but the hotel is pretty expensive.

- Olga (4/5): Great views, horrible service, not worth the price. - The hotel location, property and views, especially from the upper levels and the spa were absolutely breathtaking. The way the hotel is constructed: seemingly many mansions blended into one also gave the hotel an extra charm. The service at the hotel was abysmal. From the sexism towards women: apparently a woman is not deserving any respect is accompanied by a man. It is automatically assumed that the man paid for the hotel, and then any requests are taken only from the man. Like taking the breakfast order, no waiter approaches until they see a man at the table. Or when we arrived to the room, while all the booking and payments were done by me, a woman, once the hotel found out my fiancé joined me on the trip, they completely disregarded me and addressed only him. We live in the 21st century, treat women with respect please. The complete inability to provide some services after 10:30 in the evening. On one of the evenings of the stay, which was for a wedding, about 30-40 guests came back to the hotel at 10:30/11:00 pm, all with the same request to the only one remaining restaurant on the property: to have some food. They refused to indulge this request, stating the kitchen was closed, and not providing alternative solutions such as delivering room service food instead. A 5 star hotel should take their guests request as first priority and this was absolutely not the case at the six senses. Very disappointing. Also room service in general, worked extremely slowly, often brought the wrong thing or instead calling the room they would make you wait 30 minutes to come up to the room and tell you that the order we placed was not available. In terms of cleanliness the room was fine. We found a pair of socks from the previous residents in one of the drawers - pretty disgusting. Also the glasses in the rooms were not replaced or cleaned on a daily basis. At one point the house keeping only left us with one big towel for the two of us, and despite asking for a second at the reception it was not brought until the next days cleaning. Lastly, not disability friendly.

- Maria (10/5): Without doubt the most beautiful hotel in the city without rivals - The beauty of the hotel is indisputable, embraced by the scents and smells of the surrounding forest. During your stay you will forget that you are in Istanbul if it were not for the Bosphorus in the background. Excellent food quality especially in Scalini and Toro restaurants. Very good Dùgas who works at breakfast, speaks English and Spanish and the staff at Scalini are also very good, very knowledgeable and hospitable. The presence of a director who controls the precarious work of the staff (especially in the swimming pool) is not felt at all. They should run less with the shuttles when they take you up, that kind of speed is unacceptable and I didn't find the spa up to a six sense at all. The masseur wasn't gentle at all even though she told him to go slowly
- Maria (10/5): A true oasis in Istanbul - It is a wonderful structure built for the mountains, surrounded by greenery and with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus. The spaces are very beautiful and well-kept, everything smells of green and relaxation is king. My room boasts the original stucco work of the main house, very elegant and classy. So far I have tried 2 restaurants (Scalini and Toro) where the quality of the food is truly exceptional. Surely the staff should be more trained on how to serve and above all speak English. At the pool the service is non-existent, they don't have a menu, you can't eat and they don't want to or don't care to serve you. Isn't there a director to supervise? The pool should also be cleaned more thoroughly.

- George (5/5): Manage Expectations - Breakfast was nice - they have a fairly extensive a la carte menu so you won’t get bored. The indoor/outdoor pool had nice views and was very peaceful. We came here after spending five nights at Six Senses in Bodrum which was incredible. A truly relaxing and luxury experience in every way. But this hotel is not at the same level. Most of the staff (reception, restaurant, spa) are teenagers with an apparent lack of industry experience or professionalism. Most of them don’t have good English skills and clueless about the hotel operations (an example was at breakfast when we asked for juice and were told that they don’t serve it, or our introductory tour where we asked about the infinity pool and were told where it was located only to visit it the next day and find out that it wasn’t actually open). The hotel is on a very busy main road and our room wasn’t completely sound proof. The garden and pool are at the top of the steep property requiring a buggy so the layout makes certain parts of the hotel a chore to access. Other parts of the hotel had rubbish in random places near goods lifts - not what you would ever expect at a 5 star hotel. The cup and saucer in our room was covered with dust so cleanliness is questionable. Our air conditioning broke on our second night and despite multiple reassurances that it was being re-set and would be back up and running, we ended having to change rooms at 3am. On a positive note, the general manager was very kind and accomodating and moved us to a new room the next day with no fuss. Overall, it’s ok but not worth the money.

Staff not enough trained and not professional enough to work at this place . They don’t understand SIX SENSES philosophy . They never smile . check in and check out not 5 star standard . It wasn’t welcoming and warm enough . Management always walking around, stay around in awkward way . I think six senses should send team to check management there . Its a weakest point here .
- Majed (9/5): The hotel is amazing in scaenary, room , and staff - The mansion offered a spectacular view, featuring a spacious and elegantly decorated room equipped with advanced lighting control. The provision of a dedicated iPad for room service ordering was a remarkable touch, complemented by the exceptional service from the staff, including the receptionist Mr. Sabahattin. The mansion is an attraction despite its distant location from most other attractions. Some areas within the mansion were left unexplored due to time constraints.

The suite i stayed in was very spacious with an amazing view, generously equipped and has all the amenities you would expect at such a high end resort. I had originally booked a suite without a Bosphorus view but front office staff Mert was very thoughtful and upgraded our suite. I was so impressed that i have actually extended my stay. A visit to the SPA is a must as it has breath-taking views. Most importantly the best thing the hotel has is a team of very professional, friendly and very helpful staff. our stay at Six Senses was the icing on the cake of a great trip to Turkey. That i had to leave !

Being a supposedly luxurious 5-star establishment, I anticipated exceptional service, but unfortunately, it was far from that. My wife and I chose this hotel for a peaceful getaway, hoping to rest and enjoy a good night's sleep after a night of partying. However, our hopes were shattered as the early morning tranquility was disrupted by an abundance of noise coming from the hallway - the sound of vacuums echoing through the walls. Needless to say, this left us deeply disappointed and upset.
