Guest Reviews
- Cathy (10/5): Fabulous and relaxing vacation - Location Location Location! The Garden Duomo House offered a spectacular view, is located very close to the rose garden and Michelangelo Plaza while also being in a quiet hilltop garden setting. Nice restaurant s and shops are just down the hill in lovely San Niccolo. The house itself is beautifully decorated with ample space. Corrina is an attentive helpful host. Nothing comes to mind
- Benjamin (10/5): Amazing location, amazing garden. Just book this house. - Amazing property. You feel like you are in the Tuscan countryside surrounded by a beautiful garden with olive trees, but then you glance up towards the horizon and spot Cupola del Brunelleschi, which is only a 20m or so walk.
Great cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Parking. Amazing location. Cozy house. It pains me to write a good review as we want to keep this hidden gem to ourselves. Nothing!
- Carlos (10/5): - Best place ever
- Katalina (10/5): Everybody’s dream home. - Staying at Garden Duomo felt like a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, the place completely exceeded our expectations.
The garden is incredibly spacious and breathtaking. With the Duomo in the background, the entire setting feels almost surreal like stepping into a painting. Every corner of the property feels thoughtfully designed and artistic, and the atmosphere is simply magical. It honestly felt like we were staying inside a fairy tale.
The house itself is just as beautiful. Everything is charming, peaceful, and full of character, making it a perfect place to relax while still being close to the heart of Florence.
Corinna was also an amazing host. She was incredibly responsive, flexible, and very accommodating whenever we needed anything. Her kindness and attentiveness made our stay even more special. She is truly one of the best hosts we’ve ever had.
We are so grateful for the experience and would absolutely love to come back again in the future. If you’re looking for a magical place to stay in Florence, Garden Duomo is truly something special. Highly recommended. None. It’s perfect
- L (10/5): Perfect in every way. Excellent location. Beautiful views. Peaceful and cosy in winter. - The property was luxurious and was even better in real life than the beautiful photos we saw online. Our host was very friendly and was available if we needed any assistance. We hope to return one day!
- Leslie (10/5): Special home, in a quiet garden, just outside the historic city gates - We liked size of the property, the decor, and the serenity of the garden. The host was very communicative. Nothing. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
- Rebecca (10/5): A great find, bit of tuscany very close to the city. - A beautifull old farmhouse with an impressive garden and amazing views. You get all the sights and smells and sounds. Great location. Very well stocked equipment and kitchen with everything you need for self catering. Very comfortable and larger than i expected. The conservatory is really special. The host is easy to contact and very helpful. The rose garden nearby is lovely and leads to the Michaelangelo plaza which is also a stop for the hop on hop off bus. It is possibly to get grocery deliveries from Glovo. Because of the greenery, you will need bug spray if you sit outside, but it is worth it.
Being a farmhouse it takes a few hours to get used to the layout/steps/ old fashioned furniture but it adds to its charm. I liked it but it might bother someone who prefers modern facilities.
When it's hot, the surrounding area feels very hilly/steep. It's probably not bad in cooler temperatures but definitely plan your transport before arrival if it's super hot. (I saw lots of people on golf buggys i was jealous i had not planned that!) Bring trainers as the path to the street is gravelly.

- Christian (9/5): Sehr schöne Wohnung, gut eingerichtet, ideal gelegen und mit herrlicher Aussicht auf den Dom. -
- Mary (8/5): -

- Mark Lester (8/5): Lovely. - The gardens, the rustic property, cleanliness and lovely host. Minor point. The single beds in the second room were slighrly narrow, so really for children and we needed them to be a bit larger for one adult and a child.
- Sharon (9/5): absolutely fabulous accommodation and location! -
- Allison (9/5): Great for families, a unique and lovely house! - Location was perfect for us—we did not want to be in a busy tourist area but still wanted to experience the beautiful surroundings. We also wanted room for our two kids (3 and 5) to run around, which is tough to find this close to the city! As an added bonus, there were several excellent food options a short walk down the hill. In case you are traveling in summer and are concerned about the heat, this home stays nice and cool, even without the AC units on full blast. If we find ourselves traveling to Florence in future, I will book this home again without hesitation! When we first arrived, we were not prepared to schlep our suitcases and kids up the dirt road after entering the gate. This should not deter you from staying in this lovely house!! Just be prepared. :)
Also, this is not a criticism of the property at all, but it is a heads up for future summer travelers: lots of mosquitos at night!! Being this close to nature means bugs. The host provides some repellant, which is really nice.
- Dimitriou (10/5): Florence Treasure - The view was amazing! The accommodations were very comfy for two couples. We had a fantastic time cooking an Italian dinner with our new Italian recipes.😊🇮🇹🍝 outside indoor and outdoor patios were very relaxing and welcomed after our day walking through Florence. Our host was amazing 👏responding to my questions before and during our visit. We definitely would stay here again. Thank you for sharing your Florence treasure with us 💖
- Francisco (10/5): You feel like you're in the Tuscan countryside while being right in the city. It's a DREAM! - This house is a dream come true! You feel like you're in the Tuscan countryside while being right in the Oltarno mix. Getting anywhere we wanted was always easy. Watching sunset from Piazzale Michelangelo was just up a flight of steps from the entrance, and the big beautiful lawn with a view of Il Duomo was magical. We split our week between this house and a downtown luxury hotel. Our biggest regret is not having just stayed at the house the entire time. Thank you Corinna!!! Nothing
- Anne (10/5): Garden Duomo House is the ideal respite from the hustle and bustle of downtown Florence. - This house is fantastic! It is so comfortable; the property is lovely; the host is so responsive - everything from the location of the hair dryer to making taxi reservations for our departure. Our only regret was that we did not spend enough time at the house - enjoying the many amazing sitting areas. Not a criticism, but we could have used clearer directions on how to use the washer and dryer. It was so handy to have a washer and dryer - we used them twice - but it did involve some trial and error.garde
- Donald (10/5): After traveling across Italy for three weeks, this was the perfect place to end our Italian vacation - Our host left us wonderful breakfast pastries as a surprise to us. She checked in almost daily to see if we needed anything. This property was amazing in every way; location, comfortable, and the use of the wonderful yard. There was nothing about this property that was lacking. Anything that you could possibly want was available to you. Our host did a great job seeing to your needs.,
- James (9/5): Superb - Great location just south of the river,, lovely view of the Duomo, spacious garden, easy parking, attentive and thoughtful host. Nothing. To be aware there is one small set of 4 steps from the living room that do not have a guardrail. Not a problem for us but would require very young children or toddlers to be supervised near them.
- John (10/5): We would only come back to Florence if we could stay here - *The views!!
*The location is possibly best in all of Florence (restaurants, gardens, sunrise & sunsets @ Plaza Michelangelo).
*The vast amount of outdoor space - all to ourselves. Florence is so incredibly crowded - coming “home” to this place is welcomed solitude.
*Host responded on multiple occasions within 3 minutes! (We arrived on Tour de France day and needed help navigating as race route went right past this home). We enjoyed the walk up the hill from town but could be a bit of a struggle for .
One bedroom does not have A/C (however, it still remained relatively cool even on 100 degree days w the shutters closed).
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - Probably my favorite short term rental ever! The view was stunning, the gardens were beautiful, and the host was so warm and helpful. We even went to her restaurant for an amazing lunch and she took such good care of us. An amazing experience! A little trouble with the shower but the host came and quickly assisted us.
- Eytan (10/5): As great as the pictures suggest - We were a little worried before coming given the low number of reviews and the amazing picture, but it's just as stunning in real life as in the pictures. The property is truly beautiful and the view is incredible. Despite how quiet and picturesque it was, we walked no more than 30 minutes max to get to the furthest destination we wanted to reach, so it was the best of both worlds. Check in was super easy and Corinna was responsive, kind enough to allow us to chill in the garden for an hour before check in and after check out, and even brought us a pastry. It's so nice that it almost makes you want to skip out on seeing some attractions so you can relax more in the sunroom, the lawn chairs, the pool etc. Bring bug spray, the area does have mosquitoes, and the wifi doesn't extend to the bedroom area
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything about this house! The house itself gave us the Tuscan feel we were looking for. We walked to the markets in Florence and made dinner in the kitchen a couple times. The view from the house is also unique. You are just far enough outside the city to get a combination view of the Duomo through the garden. Even the driveway to the house was a beautiful mini walk! (I will include a picture.)
One of the best parts was how close the hose is to Piazzale Michelangelo. A quick walk up the hill and you get the gorgeous, iconic view of Florence! (A quick walk down the hill and there is a lovely gelato shop that’s close enough to frequent a couple times a day.)
We used the house as a “home base” to visit Florence and several vineyards in “wine country”. We found the house perfect for having a rental car. Just far enough outside the city central to make driving easy. Plus it had covered parking right next to the house!
- Christine (10/5): A relaxing way to end our trip and would love to return and enjoy the quiet and the view of the city - Location was convenient to the entrance of Florence. One of the neighbors did not pick up their dog poop which could be seen outside of the bedroom window.
- Shingo (9/5): Wonderful stay - Well equipped and comfortable rooms for long stay. Good for family.
Peaceful location near piazzale Michelangelo. If wifi network is stronger, it is perfect. (Wifi network is weak in the bedroom.)
