• Gisele (10/5): Comfortable apartment and perfect location. - The property has the most perfect location you’ll find. It’s comfortable, with two TVs and two bathrooms - one for each room. We had an amazing time there. This neighbourhood was recommended by my friends who live in Rio. The staff managing the property were always responsive and helpful. I travel quite often and have never experienced this level of service at private properties before. Thank you!

• Sheryl (6/5): You get what you pay for - mainly location. - The location is excellent. Half a block from Ipanema Beach, close to grocery stores, bars, dining. Bed sheets and bathrooms are very clean. Difficult to deal with and unpleasant management that has no idea what customer service means. Gets into petty arguments about who is right and who is wrong on every issue, even though the outcome is the same. Confusing instructions on how to use the lights based on translation (which is understandable), but then the need to be right about everything. Exhausting to deal with. When we arrived we were given the wrong code. Then after using the electronic lock twice the batteries ran out. Someone came over to change them, did so laughably using two kitchen knives. The property is in a so-so condition, sheets and bathrooms are clean, the rest of the apartment not so much. We had to re-wash all the dishes and cutlery, the light switches had a layer of grime which we rubbed off with alcohol, the scissors stuck to my hands with stickiness. Bloody mosquito stains on the wall that have not been cleaned up. We had no mosquitoes the first two nights, lots the next two. Overall a lot of hassle and poor value.

Muy cálida recepción por parte de Isabel y su marido a pesar de la llegada tarde por la demora del vuelo, me esperaron y se aseguraron que tuviera todo lo necesario. Repetiría seguramente.

• Hajan (9/5): A great place that contributed greatly to a wonderful trip in the beautiful and exciting city of Rio De Janerio. - Location is perfect, safe area, close to the beach and good cafes and restaurants. The hosts are very kind and helpful, big praise to both for their kindness and willingness to help. Loud AC, but nothing else.

• Anne (6/5): Nice apartment but needs better information and thought from owners. - Comfortable bed, good shower, clean, good position, good security. When we arrived the doorman wouldn’t let us in as he didn’t recognise the name of the apartment. We had to communicate with him through the grilled fence until we could find information that convinced him we had a booking. When we got into the apartment there was no toilet paper, we couldn’t get the bedroom lights to turn on and there was no wifi code. As our sim card wasn’t working we had to go to a local bar to use their wifi to contact the owner and then go back to the apartment to meet the lady who brought toilet paper and showed us how things worked. Not ideal after a day of travel.
