Guest Reviews
- Susan (8/5): We are happy to stay at the accommodation again. - Location excellent for the purpose of our time in Mt Tamborine. Bed very comfortable.
- Michelle (8/5): - Position was great
- Concetto (8/5): -
- Lindsay (9/5): I keep coming back to stay here when staying at Mt Tamborine. -
- Peter Richardson (4/5): - The view Had to go outside for WiFi that was none existant after the third day, had to use my hotspot to watch TV, no Ariel. sadly over the the 7 days we stay the last oh boy no power no water.
- Marie (7/5): Clean but dissapointing. - Beautiful garden outlook, off street parking & quiet area. Quite basic, linen & towels very 'tired' and bed sheet was directly on top of mattress. Bathroom lighting very very low wattage, could hardly see. Window screens very 'dusty' with holes that allowed mosquitos in.
Could hear every movement from the unit upstairs at all hours.
- Giuseppina (8/5): - Posizione e atmosfera bucolica in mezzo al verde.
Camera spaziosa. E' indicata la presenza di un angolo cottura ma non c'è alcun piano cottura. siamo rimasti una sola sera e ciò non è stato un problema.
- terence (6/5): - no breakfast knew that before hand -- keys to the property was left in the door lock you could see that there was a mould problem in the bathroom -- the bathroom ceiling showed major mould problems that had been cleaned very well -- but they left the ceiling looking like it needs to be painted to cover up the repairs
i sent a text message to the owners phone regarding a question i had over the rubbish bin but received no reply -- i let the owner know when we had left as instructed -- but again no reply

- Lindsay (9/5): The room meet my needs perfectly. The undercover car park would make me want to stay there again. -
- David (10/5): Pleasant east and clean. - Quite and easy to get in and out of. Nought
- Dominic (7/5): - Amazing location and it was cute. Nice big shower with good water pressure. Aircon was great. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. When we got there, there was only one towel and had to ask for more but service was friendly.
The light in the bathroom was very dull. Heat lamps gave off more light.
No wifi, which is really disappointing as the reception is quite bad up there.
- jenny (1/5): Very, very disappointing. - Bed was terrible and no legs on base just flat on floor. No small table and chairs, we had to ask host for table and chairs as there were none on arrival when they are definitely in the ad, we got the chairs and a small side table, unexceptable!! How were we expected to eat our food with no table and chairs? The 3 in 1 fan, light and heater was useless, the fan didn't do much and the light was ridiculous, the bathroom went from dark to semi dark. This is not a 1 bedroom apartment, it is a motel room. Cooking facilities is more than a microwave and air fryer.
- Gail (5/5): Acceptable lucky only one night needed good clean - Undercover parking Missing a few essentials
- SHONEE (7/5): -
- Lauren (8/5): - Great location and lovely peaceful outdoor area.

- John (8/5): Fabulous location with stunning views - Clean, tidy, basic facilities, fabulous alfresco No dining/kitchen table to sit at for meals.
- Jacinta (9/5): Short stay Mount Tamborine - It was a lovely well appointed room with a beautiful outlook. I was there to rest my head after a wedding but have said to my partner we should come back to stay one weekend. Really nice place and Mount Tamborine is beautiful Nothing
- Darren (10/5): Comfortable, clean and convenient - The studio was down the road from the QCCC where I was attending a conference. Massively convenient and a short drive to the shops in town. Very clean and looked newly renovated. AC, bar fridge, microwave, small outdoor area, undercover parking
- Lisa (9/5): Good location to town and Witches Chase track - I liked the location, just out of town. And only a 2min walk away from the entrance to the Witches Chase trail, which goes to Witches Falls. The unit was small but tidy and functional. Loved the beautiful backyard - open space and was so lovely to watch the sunset peering through the trees. There were times when noises from upstairs echoed down (people talking loudly, footsteps and sometimes pipes clanging). But didnt happen while sleeping. Doesnt have dining table and chairs - but the space doesnt suit it.
- paul (9/5): Great - Location and garden Coffee tin is old crusted coffee also no free to air tv for news
- Benia (7/5): Good -
- Loretta (9/5): I would gladly stay there again. - beautiful location, quiet, clean

- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allison (9/5): most enjoyable - I was very impressed with the personal communication (via email) regarding entry, best parking on property and available tourist attractions. Another blanket on bed - it was a little chilly at night
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional - We got an upgraded to another area which was lovely ❤
- Matty (8/5): Great location and great accommodation -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Our bedroom is facing a beautiful scenery like some sort of mini woods. The place is quiet and relaxing. The apartment is clean and the location is perfect for us.
- Bruce (8/5): Very good - Limited TV
- Brad (10/5): It was fantastic - Very neat and tidy and homely
- Cecilia (8/5): Very good - I had an upgrade . I ended up staying in a 3 bedroom house..first floor was prepared for me. I stayed for a wedding The property was close to the wedding venue .
- Will (8/5): I came to Tamborine for a wedding and this room got out of the way and let me focus on the event. - Excellent location, clean property, nice shower (good water pressure + flow), easy parking.
Tea/coffee/kettle/milk all provided, as well as an air fryer.
I enjoyed reading a book on the patio and watching the sun slowly dip below the trees. Can hear foot traffic upstairs, but not too much of a bother.
The curtains aren't blockout, so bring an eye mask if you're easily woken by the sun.
- Kim (9/5): Lovely location. - The location was lovely in that there was nature around including a bush turkey and whip birds. We didn't find a tea towel to wipe the dishes after washing, however we had a dishes rack to air dry.
- Laurie (7/5): The Golf was so so but I really liked my walks at Cedar Creek Falls and the Skywalk - Mostly Peaceful No Tea Towel and no bug spray! Had a fairly large Spider come in under the door and I don’t like Spiders!!!
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely room and facilities I'd have liked a bigger tv
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (1/5): Bad - Not much. Pretty disappointed with the facilities. We will be leaving early. If I had had a closer look on arrival I would have stayed on the coast and let you keep the money. The room was totally uninviting and cold.
The bathroom had scum and hairs through it. The bed sheets were filthy. Food and stains on the linen( can only imagine what from. Nothing had been cleaned from previous guests. Shocking. $200 should have provided clean, organised and personalised experience.
I don’t live like this. Thanks for making me live like this for a night.
Sorry. I won’t be coming back or recommending you to anyone. Quite the opposite. Regards.
Michael.
- Darren (10/5): The property exceeded my expectations and I will stay there again. - I received a telephone call from the owner as well as a text message with pictures showing me where to park, collect keys etc NIL
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Debra (8/5): Very good - Spacious, nice area, quite good bathroom great water pressure Needed a lounge nothing comfortable to sit on, there was room for ine. Bed head wasn't connected to bed loose your pillow and can't lean up against it..
- Michael (8/5): Quiet and clean - Bed Floor was cold could have done with a rug
- Brian (5/5): Passable - N/A Very cold house and we had something on the roof or in the attic kept us awake most of the night .
We contacted the owner but no response.
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robins (9/5): Nice & peaceful - We like everything, nice private & peaceful place TV reception, only could get on u-tube, had a big problem watching anything else.
- Dean (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent as we were there to attend a program less than 1km away.
We appreciated the fruit, milk and bread provided.
Undercover parking was available for our car.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - Cleanliness
- Faye (9/5): Was so peaceful and relaxing. - No TV reception.
- Graham (8/5): Very pleasant we would stay there again. - Bread and condiments were provided. I thought it was very basic, my husband didn't like the Indian tea and there was no coffee. No teatowel or wash cloth in the kitchen.
NO facecloth.in the bathroom.
Only 1 towel the other one was on the floor by the door wet.
- Mark (6/5): Handy, cost-effective, quiet location, leafy rainforest outlook, value for money, covered parking. - Location, peace and quiet, undercover parking, comfortable bed, price was good for what it is. The towels were horrible. Like strips of sandpaper. The water pressure was woeful, and water temperature not good. I heard a pump running when I used the water, so perhaps a small pressure pump? If so, perhaps it could be adjusted to a higher pressure? I wasn't game to have a shower the pressure was so bad.
The loaf of white bread on the counter was a nice thought, except that I don't use white bread at all..!!
Being brutally honest, the place is too small for the amont of furniture inside, and what is in there doesn't suit the layout. Not sure what to fix or how, but perhaps if there was a narrow TV unit against the foot of the bed, with the TV on that, then the two chairs could go against the glass door and exterior front wall, with small side tables for each, rather than the large 'nested' set of side tables that takes up so much space.
Also, the outdoor furniture has no proper cushions, so is too low to sit on. Probably they got left out, got wet and went mouldy, which should not happen as the outdoor area is actually covered. So maybe take the time to replace the cushions? Foam rubber is cheap as chips, and covering them with an exterior fabric would not be difficult or expensive.
I worked in hospitality for years, so I can see where the corners were cut.
Most of what I noticed should be easy and not expensive to fix.
But, being scrupulously fair, for what I paid for the room, it was good value as is.
So take from that what you will.
- Roadtrip101 (8/5): Four days well spent at Mount Tamborine in studio apartment. - The property was in close proximity to the venue I attended across the 4 day stay with about a three minute drive or short walk required. Kitchenette amenities were fairly good for light meals - no cook top but microwave, air cooker, sandwich maker and toaster were provided. Fridge was on small side but adequate for short stay. Private vehicle access to unit parking was from side street off main arterial road. There was effectively no night time traffic noise worth the mention. Off street under cover parking is better suited to small sedan but I managed to park my 1.9 metre high tradie van in under cover although reversing in made it easier to exit up the slopping drive way to street level. Grounds were well kept and in one section backdropped by tall timbers which attracted a variety of bird life. Studio was not spacious enough for a sit down table for meals but managed to use outdoor setting as required. the T.V. did not have access to free to air channels but had some streaming services available via the internet. Was able to set up a connection using my registered premium account details during the booking period.
- Wheatley (9/5): Superb -
- Carol (4/5): Disappointing - This property is very overpriced at $184 per night. Its not value for money. It is filled with very cheap furniture, cheap lamps, very tiny TV. Didnt have instant coffee, tea bags only. Decaing apples left in fruit bowl. No face cloths. It was missing the basics. Female owner couldnt be bothered saying hi, welcome on arrival.
- Meike (8/5): Very good - Lovely quiet location and clean comfortable place. There was still some rubbish from previous guests in the kitchen bin and we found a dollar coin in the bed.
- Maria (10/5): Nice place for a shoe holiday! - I like the bed and the spacious place. No much stuff for cooking. Washing machine didn’t work.
- Kristy (9/5): Superb - The host was very helpful and did not interfere at all. We didn't even meet him which allowed us to get to business and enjoy our stay.
- Wills (5/5): The stay was alright for the night but wouldn't stay there any longer - There was bread, milk and tea bags.
Fruit No TV, coffee and butter that was promised.
Floor wasn't clean and towels were very crushed
- Anna (9/5): Superb - The location was the winner for me. Was attending a wedding nearby and this was very convenient for my needs. This also being an airbnb providing undercover parking was also a bonus. This was a very cosy place so a bit hard to find something I didn't like.
- Jess (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karl (10/5): justgreat - Everything, I know that isn't helpful, but there it is.. Nice outlook onto lawns and forest
- Cambridge (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (6/5): It was a pleasant stay but could have been better with a few minor changes. - Nice view from double doors.
Very cosy- quite warm - nice 1. Floor very cold - No mats on floor
2. Nowhere to eat food- could have had small table and 2 chairs that would have fitted under bench for storage.
3. Bed too low
4. Right side of bed did not have a light that worked and no extension cord to connect light.
5. Could not eat from chairs in front of tv as they tip forward.
- Alison (6/5): We’d definitely recommend it as a perfect location. - Our hosts were very obliging and friendly, even doing a load of washing for us when we realised we didn’t have a washing machine. The location was perfect and their garden lovely. Some things to make the place even more appealing would be.
1. An underlay on the bed.
2. A second towel rail in the bathroom.
3. A mat at the entry door.
4. A container for microwaving food.
5. More water glasses.
- Sarah (5/5): Passable - Bins has not been emptied and no bin liners. Stay was OK but not ideal having someone walk past the sliding doors early morning as some people do like privacy. Surely yard maintenance can be left until after check out at 10am.
- Ewan (8/5): Very good - It was comfortable and quiet. No sink plugs provided. May sound trivial but a man who needs to shave, it's wasteful to have a tap running to rinse your razor. Also no kitchen sink plug but dish washing liquid provided.. doesn't make sense. Television only has Netflix and YouTube, no normal channels.
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional - Clean & cosy Nothing
- Kevin (8/5): Very good - Was clean and tidy nice and quite The bed was a little hard to what we are used to .. minor detail 🙂
- Kieran (10/5): relaxing - cost and homely light flickers in the bathroom but easily fixed
- Pippi (10/5): very quiet and peaceful and no fuss to come and go as you please - thank you for the bananas apples coffee. we appreciated it and the birds in the morning are amazing. very quiet and peaceful
- Susan (7/5): Whilst the place was cute, it was a little overpriced for what it was. - Great location. Fruit, bread and milk on arrival was nice touch. Rubbish bins full, no plug, dish cloth or tea towel to clean up. No hairdryer or iron. Studio is under a house and floorboards are quite squeaky.
- Peter (8/5): Good.simple and easy to access - Clear instructions nice and relaxed
- Iavah (8/5): Very good - Location To find thé place?
- Rob (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- Lynda (4/5): Disappointing -
- Stuart (8/5): Very good - There was no internet - that would have improved the stay
- Hollie (8/5): Very good - convenient for us, was good for just a quick stay. one of the towels were wet on arrival which made me think maybe they weren’t changed
- Gidon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hugh (8/5): a peaceful comfortable place to stay - it’s spaciousness and location / outlook nothing that detracted from an enjoyable stay.
maybe a jar of instant coffee, wouldn’t go astray, and tuning the tv to receive ‘free to air’ channels.
- Brian (7/5): Good - Very clean and great location. No bath Mat or floor mat or tea towel . But apart from that it was fine.
- Caroline (7/5): Good - My special request was catered for. Was nice to have milk and bread provided but no chopping board provided or sharp knife to cut things with. The bed saged in the middle, the water pump just outside the room was constantly going, maybe the owner could relocate the pump or maybe install a quiet one. Other than that our stay was lovely.
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bev (9/5): was great thank you and thank you for the milk and fruit and bread you left there very thoughtful - it was lovely and very warming very clean and lovely the bed mattress was very soft sunk into it and the TV connection kept dropping out
- Anonymous (5/5): pleasant but jad the water turned off half way through a shower and internet was cut off too i thought that that was a b - i liked the set up of studio there was no tea or coffee for the morning .
we arrived a bit late and had the water turned off on us half way through a shower and so was the internet so we couldn’t even watch a movie . it was a bit disheartening
