- Suzanne (7/5): Good stay but not without some issues - Vila Sela has an amazing view over the lake. It was great to sit on the balcony and enjoy it. The room was really big and nicely decorated. Also the fridge was nice to have. Also when having breakfast, you can't find a better view. The breakfast was big and with a lot of variety on the plate. You can easily walk down to the lake where you will find a lot of restaurants. On a rainy night, we were sitting in the common area and the (we think) mother was so sweet to bring us some sliced oranges. Very nice and hardworking people. Unfortunately our room had a big mold problem. There is no ventilation so the mold just has free play here. This resulted in mold both in the bathroom and the sleeping area. It didn't feel really comfortable. Also, we stayed for 3 nights and they didn't change stuff like towels or toiletpaper. It's conflicting to write a review like this because you see how hard they work. But the mold is just too present to not mention here.

- Guest (10/5): Exceptionnel - Emplacement exceptionnel. Nous en avons pris plein les yeux dès notre première soirée en Albanie . La vue est incroyable. Chambre très propre et confortable avec balcon sur le jardin et vue sur lac . Les hôtes nous ont très bien accueilli et ont tout fait pour nous être agréable : organisation de notre sortie du lendemain organisée de A à Z, préparation d un petit dej à emporter compte tenu de notre départ de bonne heure .

- de Jager (9/5): Heerlijk huis, heel fijn gelegen net buiten Shkodër, met lieve mensen en een prachtig uitzicht. - Mooie kamer naast het huis van de eigenaar. Alles was vrij nieuw en zeer goed schoongemaakt. Heerlijk bed en ruime kamer en badkamer. Ontbijt werd elke dag vers gemaakt door de vrouw des huizes. Allemaal kleine heerlijkheden op het terras met uitzicht op het meer. We kwamen aan en zagen de steile opgang, dus hebben de auto maar even geparkeerd. De gastheer heeft hem daarna naar boven gereden, heel fijn. Al met al echt een mooi verblijf net buiten Shkodër. De kamer was heel zuiver, keurig schoongemaakt. Er was echter flink gespoten met een interieur spray. Dat was voor mij niet heel fijn en sloeg op de luchtwegen. Maar dat is het enige puntje , waar ik iets van kan zeggen.

Pyszne, lokalne śniadanie, wyśmienicie podane na tarasie z pięknym widokiem. Czas podania śniadania trochę rozjechał się z tym deklarowanym, ale trzeba pamiętać że to albania i tutaj na wszystko jest czas😉
- MOATAZ (10/5): Amazing view and family ❤️ - Upon arrival, everyone was very welcoming and offered activity suggestions. We chose the Shala River trip, which they organized completely for 40 Euro per person, from 6:30 a.m. until around 6 p.m. They also packed a delicious breakfast for us to enjoy during the journey. Elvis recommended a hidden spot called Kanioni Ura e Shtrenjtë, easily accessible with a regular rental car. There, you can relax by the river and capture stunning photos. Thanks to everyone—we'll definitely return. Nothing that we didn’t like, just if the room can be more soundproof with a good ventilation it would be perfect.

- Arjan (8/5): Prima locatie voor uitstapjes in de buurt - Prima uitvalsbasis om plaatsje te verkennen, we kregen veel tips voor de omgeving en hebben een leuke excursie naar Komani lake kunnen plannen. Ontbijt was prima en mooi uitzicht vanuit de kamer. Qua bereikbaarheid met de auto is het laatste stuk uitdagend. Kamer zat onder het terras wat herrie in de kamer geeft als er mensen hun stoel verschuiven.

- Christine (9/5): - Très bon petit déjeuner, frais et fait pour une heure donnée. Très belle vue car positionnée sur les hauteurs du village. Une toute petite amélioration possible (pour garder durablement la qualité du logement): la ventilation de la sdb est coupée automatiquement par la carte servant de clé et d'interrupteur général, dès la fermeture de la porte de la chambre et donc, l'humidité s'installe pour la journée dans la pièce. Une temporisation serait un confort supplémentaire.

- adrian (10/5): Un lugar espectacular! - Vila Sela es el lugar perfecto para descansar y desconectar. Desde la llegada nos sentimos como en casa. Los anfitriones son un amor, la localización inmejorable, el desayuno excelente (todo casero) y las vistas un privilegio. A 10 minutos en coche de la ciudad y a 3 minutos andando de la playa. En los alrededores hay infinidad de restaurantes donde poder comer a buen precio y rico. Muy top! No puedo decir nada malo

Un super petit déjeuner, et dans cette même salle des jeux de société à dispo. (Cartes, échec, etc...) Juste à 300m plusieurs restaurants s'offrent à vous. Absolument rien, ou peut être la route très raide qui mène à la villa (qui se fait sont soucis) mais comme dans beaucoup d'endroit en Albanie ! 😉

De host heeft erg zijn best gedaan om het ontbijt vroeger dan normaal te voorzien zodat we het mee konden nemen op dagtrip. Het ontbijt was ook erg uitgebreid en lekker. De kamer was te weinig verlucht. Na een douche werd alles klam.
- Juan Cruz (10/5): Increíble experiencia! - Desde que llegamos el personal nos hizo sentir como en casa, nos consultaron a que hora íbamos a querer desayunar ya que al día siguiente teníamos una excursion y no íbamos a poder tener el desayuno en el hotel y nos prepararon todo para llevar, también al llegar solicitamos almohadas extra y en 1 minuto las trajeron a la habitación. Al dia siguiente también nos íbamos temprano a la mañana y nos dejaron el desayuno listo para que nos podamos ir tranquilos, no pasamos mucho tiempo dentro del hotel pero tiene unas vistas increíbles y un deck con vista al lago y las montañas dignas de admirar, muchas gracias vila sela por esta experiencia increíble! Super recomendable! El unico "problema" fue que una de las luces situadas al lado de la cama no funcionaba, pero no es algo que no guste o que no cumpla, simplemente cosas que pueden pasar.

De oma van de familie zei ons altijd vriendelijk gedag en de vader heeft voor een take-away ontbijtje gezorgd toen wij vroeg weg moesten. Gewoonweg top dus! Verder was het ontbijt lekker en hebben we goed geslapen.😃

We had to leave early the next morning for Komani Lake, and they kindly prepared a packed breakfast for us which was exceptional. Truly appreciated the hospitality! They have dedicated parking spaces but access to it can be difficult for under confident drivers. WiFi was a bit slow. However these were not a deal breaker for us.
- SRP (9/5): Amazing views, nice hospitality and it was a good stay. - Breakfast was good and the host gaves us options for vegetarian food. He also recommended restaurant which were good and gave contact to a fantastic travel agency which we used for 2 days. Approach to the place is slightly tricky if you have a car. Good to check with the host before arriving.

- Sheref (10/5): - Excellent and amazing view, very good value for money, breakfast was soo tasty and lovely with excellent sitting area and an incredible view of the lake and mountains, the couple were very welcoming and available when needed ,he gave me places to visit which was amazing and helped to plan our staythank you,I highly recommend this place if you want to visit Shkoder ,I loved it Nothing particular for the place,the area there is abit poor with no facilities for extra stuff to be done ,2 days is more than enough to enjoy and definitely better to hire a car to enjoy

- Rachael (10/5): Quaint little gem - We loved our room looking at the lake and the Sela family was so welcoming checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was curated to give you the al avian experience. Elvis crafted a self guided tour for us which was perfect for the time we had. The location was awesome! So calm, steps from great restaurants and views. The room was a bit small but it had everything we needed for a few nights stay.

- Sebastian (10/5): Schöne familiengeführte Pension mit super Frühstück, traumhaftem Ausblick und toller Lage - Wir haben als Familie 3 Nächte in der Vila Sela verbracht. Es hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Die Vila Sela liegt etwas oberhalb am Hang in Shkodra, dadurch hat man einen traumhaften Ausblick über den See und die Landschaft. Außerdem ist es Abends schön ruhig. In ein paar Minuten ist man zu Fuß unten an der Seepromenade, wo es viele Restaurant und Cafés gibt. Am Hotel selbst gibt es ausreichend Parkplätze. Das Zimmer ist sehr modern eingerichtet, sauber und in top Zustand. Alles war wie beschrieben. Der Gastgeber war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit, hat gleich am Anfang gefragt, was die Kinder gerne frühstücken wollen, war die ganze Zeit über sehr aufmerksam und hat uns auch beim Organisieren eines Ausflugs zum Koman-Stausee geholfen. Seine Frau und er bereiten das landestypische frühstück jeden Tag liebevoll zu und es wird auch auf Sonderwünsche Rücksicht genommen. Es war wirklich hervorragend. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt in einer familiengeführten Pension. Der Gastgeber ist mit Herzblut dabei - und das merkt man. Es gab keine Zimmerservice, was uns bei 3 Nächten aber auch nicht wirklich gestört hat. Ab und zu nachfragen, ob alles passt, wäre gut gewesen (uns ist z.B. das Toilettenpapier ausgegangen).

- Ariel (10/5): - We were travelling toward Theth and needed to stay a night in shkoder. We found this gem just outside of the city. It was reasuring to get notifications throughout the day indicating that we were well looked after. The staff greeted us and were super nice and accomodating. We were given a family room (family of 5), which was prepared for our needs, clean and comfy. The highlight was the wonderful breakfast we had on the porch overlooking the lake. It was sweet and short We warmy recommend for anyone who is passing by the town. Great value for money... Nothing really...
- Ewald (10/5): Hotel zum Wohlfühlen - Vila Sela ist ein familiengeführtes Hotel, mit sehr freundlichem und engagiertem Personal; unser Zimmer war im Haupthaus mit seitlichem Blick auf den Shkodrasee; für den Besuch der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten rund um Shkodra wurde uns eine Tour zusammengestellt (auf Google-Maps); das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und aus eigenem Anbau sowie frisch zubereitet. Das Frühstück nahmen wir auf der überdachten Terrasse mit wunderbarem Blick auf den See ein; dort kommt man mit anderen Gästen leicht ins Gespräch; im nahegelegenen Ort gibt es reichlich Restaurants zur Auswahl; Für den abendlichen Aufenthalt auf der Terrasse wäre es schön, wenn vom Hotel noch ein paar Getränke (z. B. in einem aufgestellten Kühlschrank) angeboten werden würden (wäre auch eine zusätzliche Einnahmequelle für's Hotel)
