Guest Reviews
- Jordan (10/5): this place was absolutely worth coming to. so happy i found it, and that in some ways it found me. if you’re looking to - within the mountain. unbeatable location with incredible energy in this place. as a westerner visiting this world, i couldn’t have asked for more steep steps in, but they do have a luggage system, so inquire before you arrive! i didn’t and had to carry luggage down. user error
- Ömer (10/5): - Ich wäre gerne länger geblieben. Alles war so schön. Ruhig, sauber und qualitativ. Mit Liebe fürs Detail. Daumen hoch. Danke!
- Ken (9/5): Superbly comfortable place to stay and great access to the key places in Wudang - The property has exceptionally helpful and kind staff that also run evening activities daily such as gong sessions, music and essence meditation and tarot readings (latter subject to language barriers). It’s also very clean and has extremely good heated flooring for the winter. In the morning, the air is exceptionally clean and refreshing. The breakfast and dinners are very healthy. Booking.com says it has spa facilities but that isn’t jacuzzi/hotspring/swimming or any water based relaxation methods or massages.
- Julian (10/5): Molto accogliente, cibo ottimo, personale molto gentile e attento - Abbiamo avuto un problema con il bagno che è stato risolto immediatamente senza problemi

- Nicolás (10/5): Restful beautiful spot in Wudang Mountains - I really liked the quietness around the hotel. It is in a beautiful spot. The staff working there were really friendly and helpful. There are a few daily activities which I enjoyed very much. If you are looking for a place to rest and enjoy the beautiful wudang mountains, this is the place. The food is really nice and it seems to be cooked with intention and love. They have a no-menu concept. However, sometimes, it could look very little. If would be nice if they would serve or put on the table some bottle or jar with warm water.
- Lore (10/5): Peaceful and gracious living on the Mountain - We absolutely loved the Manju Manor! It was our favorite stay of our whole trip. The location is in the country and it is so quiet and peaceful. It is surrounded by vegetable gardens, fruit trees and rows of tea. I saw more birds here than anywhere else in China. The rooms are beautifully furnished with tatami mats, fold out futons, a small tea drinking area, and the bathroom has luxe features like a bidet. Outside there are plenty of places to sit or walk around and enjoy the mountain air. The staff speaks English and are very helpful and nice. They also have a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine on staff who can give you an evaluation and treatment, and who can also teach Taiji. Finally, their cook makes all the food from their own organically grown vegetables. It is delicious, wholesome, and beautifully presented. Something that was challenging at first was that you have to take a park shuttle bus to get there and you have to tell the bus driver where to let you off since it is not one of the usual stops. But once we had a picture of our shuttle stop it was easy. Once you get off, expect to talk a quarter mile down a stone paved trail to get to the manor. It is so worth it!
- Harold (10/5): A modern healing resort with traditional influence in the heart of the Wudang mountain. - The property is beautifully located within the heart of the mountain. Surrounded by tea fields and forest. The property has a large koi pond with fountain and landscaped gardens that are very well maintained.
The sleeping quarters are traditional with a modern twist. Very upscale and luxurious. We enjoyed the common area to have our morning espresso and latte that was made perfectly and in the evening we had wine from their expansive collection of vintage wines.
The included breakfast was just what we needed, light yet a fully cooked meal and dinner was different each night from fresh fish to roast duck and a variety of vegetables and soups. Everything was perfect!
