• jeremy (6/5): Do not book a tour with them but hostel ok - The hostel was good, curtains on beds, restaurant, they speak English, bar has free beer 7-8pm. Wi-Fi good. Free breakfast nice The bathrooms are small and one shower and one toilet for 6 people Do NOT book a tour through them. Way overpriced compared to street vendors, just book outside of hostel. Also they will message you in WhatsApp before you arrive and try and pressure you into tours. Don’t do it. Then I had a thousand problems, tours cancelled, booked on tours that didn’t include what they were supposed to. They will try and raise the price after you agree for the tour. They have no communication. Messaged me at 11am at night before a tour at 7am saying they have to cancel or change it and then no help and no schedule. I had so many problems and they just say sorry. There is an excuse for everything. The business model is to get you to book before you arrive and charge you 2.5 times more than tours on the street, then change tours, cancel tours, and provide no information. Do not fall for it and book from agencies in the street. Stay at hostel but no tours from them

• Siew Hoon (10/5): Very good and highly recommended - Modern and clean environment. Friendly reception. Breakfast is good. The vibe of the hostel is very good. Room is very comfortable for a good night sleep and with ensuite shower bathroom in the dorm room. Value for money. Location is very convenient in the old quarter and near to Long Bien airport bus dropoff location. Highly recommended.

• Işık Neslişah Korkut (8/5): - Tesisle veya çalışanlarda hiçbir sorun yaşamadım. Konumu harika kahvaltısı lezzetli bir konaklamaydı. Aşağıda söyleyeceğim iki şey dışında çok keyif aldığım bir konaklama oldu. Tek sorunum normalde 4 ranza olması gereken yere 5 ranza koymuşlar. Alan çok dar üstelik belli saatlerde klima kapanıyor. Her yatağın başında küçük vantilatör var ama onu çalıştırınca da telefonunuzu şarj edemiyorsunuz çünkü yatakların sadece tek prizi var.
• Johannes (9/5): 3 night stay - The staff was very helpfull. Booked buses to ha giang loop, then buses to sapa and back. Good location, and a fan with the bed. Missed soap at the crane, but you could grab body soap from the showers. And bag storage was a bit awkward but very safe.

• Micaela Belen (4/5): No tan bueno - Lo único que me pareció bueno es el personal. Muy amables y sobre todo la gente latina. Los desayunos están buenos y el area de comer tambien. La ubicación esta bien. No me gustaron las habitaciones para nada, en mi caso habitaciones compartida de 6 camas. Algunas camas hacen ruido ya que son como de fierro, y eso hace que no se pueda dormir bien. Además, solo hay un baño disponible para usar, lo cual no lo hace practico para 6 personas. La limpieza que realizan es por arriba, se nota que no hacen limpieza profunda, es algo que deberían implementar sobre todo por la humedad y moho. Aunque sea barato, son detalles que podrian mejorar.

• Tania (8/5): Volvería a alojarme aquí - Muy buena atención desde antes de llegar al alojamiento. Super atentos y simpáticos, tanto el personal, como el voluntariado. Tuve que cambiar de planes y me ayudaron a ampliar una noche en la misma cama. Solicité la cama de abajo por problemas de espalda y lo organizaron para que fuera posible. A las 00:30 de la noche me recibieron y me dieron toda la información necesaria. Tiene ascensor. La taquilla, bajo la cama, es muy amplia. La cama está bien, con ventilador propio, lamparita de noche y un par de enchufes, además de una cortina que impide que pase la luz y da privacidad. El baño femenino cuenta con un WC y dos duchas, con gel y champú. Agradecí la piscina para desconectar y refrescarme en las horas de más calor. Incluye desayuno con distintas opciones, las que yo probé muy ricas (tortillas, pancake...), y té/agua (café y otros se pagan a parte). También tiene una hora de cerveza gratis para animar a socializar y conocer gente, así como actividades variadas por las tardes. Piden que dejes un documento oficial como fianza al darte la llave magnética y la toalla, lo que personalmente no me agrada. Los lavabos y el secador de pelo no están separados de la zona de camas, por lo que o no se usa, o puede ser molesto para las compañeras. Estaría bien poner jabonera en la zona de lavabos. Pregunté si era posible que me preparasen unas tortitas y un plátano de desayuno para llevar mi último día, por email me dijeron que sí, pero luego en recepción me dijeron que no.

• Maya Soul (5/5): - The beds are comfy, a lot of storage room under bed, there's an elevator and pool on the roof, free breakfast which is nice. Shower in the room was good. Most of the staff was nice, except for the girl receptionist. She was rude and condescending most of the time. Like she has over what. A lot of attitude over a few simple questions. The ac in the room is off most of the day until like 21:00 so it's freaking hot, don't expect any midday naps if your tired. The electricity in my bed didn't work so no light in the bed, there was a small fan in the bed who could have been useful but again, the electricity in the bed didn't work. Told the reception and they couldn't give less shit. Party hostel so a lot of noise from people coming in and out till early morning.

The showers are inconvenient with nowhere to put your stuff (only hangers inside the cabin) and constantly wet floor. Cleanliness could be better.

• Amit Singh (7/5): Not Bad, Not Good Either - I only stayed here for a single night, having booked my Ha Giang Loop through them — so take this review for what it is: a brief but honest snapshot. Quiri is a decent, no-frills hostel that does the basics well. The beds were comfortable, the AC was powerful and the under-bed lockers. There's also a restaurant downstairs. It won't blow you away, and it doesn't try to. But if you're passing through for a night — especially as a launchpad for the Ha Giang Loop — it gets the job done without any real complaints. Manage expectations, and you'll leave satisfied. The bathrooms are a real problem. One toilet and shower for the entire dorm with no communal backup, perpetually wet floors, and a shower so cramped that nothing dries. Worst of all, the drain flows directly into the toilet area — so if someone's showering next door while you're in the loo, expect a flood at your feet. For $8.50 a night, expectations should be low.

Very loud, doors continuously slamming, the noise from the lift constant, the swipe key lock system for the lockers is also loud every time anyone opens their locker, the lockers are in the wrong locations for each bed. Mould on the roof, strange smell coming from the bathroom. Bathrooms tiny, almost impossible to get in and out of the cubicles when you try open the door. AC only on for certain hours of the day/night.

• Carlotta (9/5): Super consigliato!! - Quiri Hostel è un posto eccezionale! Ho alloggiato nel dormitorio femminile della struttura e sono rimasta molto contenta. Personale gentile e sempre disponibile, camere spaziose e letti comodi. Ogni letto è dotato di un armadietto che potrete chiudere a chiave, mensola per appoggiare le proprie cose e piccolo appendiabiti. L’asciugamano viene fornito dalla struttura, come anche il bagnoschiuma e lo shampoo. La camera e i bagni sono sempre puliti (certo, tenendo conto che insieme a voi il bagno viene utilizzato da altre persone). Aria condizionata sempre accesa durante le ore notturne. La struttura include la colazione (molto basic ma a vostro piacimento dolce o salata) e birra gratuita dalle 7 alle 8 del pomeriggio: un’ottima occasione per fare qualche conoscenza se viaggiate da soli. Durante L’happy hour la musica è abbastanza alta, ma nonostante ciò le camere sono ben insonorizzate! Posizione top, proprio nell’old quarter. Unica pecca, se proprio ne vogliamo trovare una… i lavandini direttamente in camera! La mattina mi stavo preparando e una ragazza si è lamentata poiché si trovava nel letto appena di fianco, sicuramente non sono comodissimi

• Amy (8/5): Disappointing - Comfy bed. Clean bedroom and bathroom. Okay breakfast. Good location. Staff very welcoming. Needed more than one bathroom in an 8 bed dorm. The images on booking.com need updating, they don’t represent the current state of the property, shared areas look tired and in need of a deep clean. I was disappointed on arrival as I booked this hose anticipating it would be a nicer hostel given the price and the photos. Please bare this in mind when booking.

• Catherine (10/5): Great hostel - Great having a cafe restaurant downstairs, comfortable beds, good water pressure and free toiletries in the shower, free breakfast was super tasty. Nothing bad, the lockers are located under the beds so it can be tricky and cramped but not a big issue.
• Charline (6/5): - The hostel was in a great location and the staff was very friendly. The biggest downside was the dorm: for a 10-bed room, there was no air conditioning most of the time. It was only on from 12:00-15:00 in the afternoon and from 21:00 to 03:00 at night, which was really uncomfortable. The room got extremely hot and there were strong odors. The bathroom was very dirty. When you use the shower the bathroom was flooded after. At check-out, we were given a pile of ID cards and had to find our own, which didn’t feel secure at all.

There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and small spots to check out within walking distance, which made it easy to get around and enjoy the area. The breakfast was also good and a nice start to the day. I chose this hostel because it looked like one of the better options on Booking, but my experience didn’t fully match the reviews. I don’t mind paying a higher price for a clean and comfortable stay, which is why this was disappointing. Cleanliness is very important to me, and unfortunately, the room and bed didn’t meet my expectations. I’ve stayed in other hostels at a lower price that felt much cleaner and better maintained. The female dorm setup was also not ideal. There was only one toilet stall and two showers, separated by partial walls that didn’t reach the ceiling, so there was very little privacy. You could clearly hear everything, which made it uncomfortable. I also noticed mold in the bathroom and encountered a large cockroach, which was disappointing. Overall, I would rate my stay a 6/10. It may be fine for some travelers, but if cleanliness and privacy are priorities for you, this might not be the best choice.
