Guest Reviews
- Pavle (9/5): Superb -
- Ningyu (4/5): Water outrage - It provides basic facilities and breakfast. There was a water outrage but the hotel didn’t even inform us when we go back. After we found out about it and we asked the staff, they just said that it happened for the area. They didn’t provide any solution or any useful information. The water outrage lasted a few hours and not sure when the water came back.
- Irakli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (7/5): Free parking in downtown Baku - I chose this hotel because it’s one of the few budget hotels in central Baku with free onsite parking (Make sure the hotel tells the parking attendant to expect you, it’s a shared car park with other buildings). Wifi, location, and late night check-in were all good. Breakfast very basic. Better to go across the road to a local bakery for breakfast. Carpets need to be vacuum cleaned. But it’s fine overall for a night or two.
- Ullatt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elyara (10/5): Everything was amazing, except the sound preamble walls - The hotel in general was great to spend couple of nights. It is situated in the best location so that you can access to many places just in couple of minutes. The Staff all, Emil and others, were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was also good, they had great fruit jams, honey, and one of the staff even offered me a tasty cake. Only one thing i disliked here was the walls which were not soundproof and you can hear everything through the walls.
- Khalifa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariana (8/5): Very good -
- Ay (8/5): Very good -
- Muhammad (8/5): Very good -
- Sultan (10/5): Exceptional - The room was cleaned daily, and the staff was always helpful.
- Anonymous (3/5): If you want to reach the city and looking a cheap room you can choose. - The view of my room was really fascinating The view was good. I watched the city. Breakfast was not enough for a person. It was really bad. I think the pictures did not represent the reality. On the other hand, the cleaning of room was not enough. On the other hand, in the toilet and bathroom there was not an enough facility. There was a mosquito in the room. There was not anything in the refrigerator. I believe that, I will not choose again.
- Denitsa (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay! Central location and the most friendly staff ever! The room is super comfortable and offers everything you might need during the stay.
- Janusz (8/5): Very good - Small hostel located on city center with easy access to all atractions
- Alkahhali (10/5): Fabulous stay in baku - The receptionists Rasif ,turkan and Eyman, room size , Nothing
- Rinat (8/5): Very good -
- Ngoc (10/5): Exceptional - Good location! Near station, old town but not noisy
Staffs r very friendly & helpful ( 2 guys & a lady from front desk and a lady work in kitchen ) All were excellent
- Roberto (7/5): Good - Staff super friendly and helpful.
Position close to the centre. The structure would need a bit of renovation.
- Gulshan (10/5): Exceptional - Calm and peace atmosphere. Clean and cozy rooms. Friends and genuine staffs. Ready to help. Special thanks to Rasif and Irada. Very kind people.
Walkable distance Nizami street and all major city attractions…
- Ignacio (6/5): The hotel was just ok as long as you only intend to sleep. Good price and location. Bad breakfast. - I liked the location and cleanliness of the place. The price was good, as mostly everything in Azerbaiyan.
The room was ok in general but lacked a proper wardrobe. The hotel wasn't an actual hotel. It was rather a house with bedrooms, a very small room for breakfast and a desk at the entrance to welcome travellers.
The breakfast was very disappointing. No milk, very little to choose to eat. Breakfast was served in a smal impersonal room. I even skipped the breakfast one day. I can't believe previous positive feedbacks I've read. It doesn't make any sense at all!
The room wasn't bad (comfortable bed, cozzy decoration, convenient table). In fact, the bathroom was very nice. However, there was no proper wardrobe, apart from a bar in front of the TV. So you had to choose: either you watched the TV or watched your hanging clothes. Totally unthinkable.
- Abdullah (9/5): Superb -
- Muhammad (9/5): Superb - The staff was very cooperative, the location is excellent. Definitely value for money
- Miclab (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emily (8/5): Very good - Helpful staff and good location Rooms facing onto road are noisy at night
- Kahori (7/5): Good - location was great!
- Donny_b (5/5): An ok place to stay for a night. - It was close to the train station The walls are paper thin. Just needs a good upgrade.
- Salma (9/5): Comfortable stay -
- Subhrajit (1/5): horrible. - worst breakfast menu I have seen in my entire life. only bread, butter, one omlet. no one was there to take care of you. pathetic. all. there is nothing which is good. it is not visible from road. small entrance. only 9 rooms, all are at first floor.
no lift, no caretaker.
- Ms. (8/5): Just right for a short stay in Baku. - Safe, simple, and just right for a short stay. The location was close to a mall and the subway. The staff was very helpful and kind, comfy bed and simple breakfast. There was a lower wall area next to the bed that was flaking. The bathroom is a bit musty.
- Bilal (10/5): Hidden Gem - This hotel was in a perfect spot for exploring. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We found it to be excellent value for the price. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a pleasant and affordable stay. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We did experience some trouble with the hot water initially.
Thankfully, the issue was resolved quickly.
Breakfast was decent, but there's room for improvement.
Perhaps a wider variety of options would be nice.
- Jasar (10/5): Perfect for a short and sweet stay for a reasonable budget - Good breakfast for the price of the room. The lady cook also caters to requests.
- Adnan (7/5): It will suffice if you are there for a short stay and need a place close to center - It was near the center. I reached with 25 min walk to Nizammiye center and Icerisehir. Always someone at the desk. For those who needs smart tv, tv was smart. Breakfast was not enough. I mean you would end up just drinking juice or coffee with some cheese and and tomatos if you didnt arrive early
If you dont open your window while you leave for a walk, you could smell the humidity.
- Nomadrwhere (7/5): Good place for busses or train. - Great staff, clean comfy room. I think the Metro runs under this building, therefore if you are a light sleeper you will hear the rumbling of it.
- Aoldfield (5/5): This could be a nice discount hotel if they changed their double-booking practices - I liked that this is a less pretentious/pricey hotel that provided what is needed - a clean room and an adequate bathroom (shower no bath), all recently remodeled and working. Bed and pillows were good, and I was very happy the windows could open - I hate being sealed in a hotel room. There was hot - careful, very hot!- water for about 15 minutes for a morning shower (I waited 5 minutes for water to heat on the second floor). There was a fridge and an electric tea kettle, bathrobes. Outlets were the new multitype that can take American or European-type connections. Internet was free, not super strong, but adequate for my needs - email and some online work. The front desk staff were really nice and spoke pretty good English, they were always helpful and also nice about calling taxis. Location is OK, right downtown, but about 10-minute walk from the Bulvar (Caspian sea park), or 15 to Fountain Square. No inspiring restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and one mid-level supermarket - Bravo - a few blocks up the street. Stairs, no elevator, but staff will help you carry your suitcases upstairs. Located in an old-fashioned Baku courtyard where people hang laundry and sometimes play backgammon, that adds some charm. I would have given Liberta a better rating, except they have a terrible practice of overbooking and turning away travelers who have long-standing reservations! The first time, my friend was supposed to arrive at midnight on the same day I came in. We were going to stay there together and walk in the mornings to the conference we were going to. She had had the reservation for months, so I decided to stay there too. When I checked in they asked if she could stay in my room for a few days - I said that would be fine, but I was asleep when she arrived, and apparently they "couldn't figure out how to make her a key" for my room - she ended up staying at a different hotel with another friend from the conference (which she had to organize at midnight after a long flight). She ended up staying at that other hotel the whole time. Then the day I was checking out, an exhausted-looking couple showed up and the same thing happened - they had doublebooked their rooms, and were going to send them to another hotel - but they ended up sitting there for about an hour waiting for resolution. I have worked at a hotel and this is an unacceptable practice that they should stop if they want anyone to ever stay there twice - I won't risk it.
- Natalie (8/5): We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel. - The hotel is in a perfect location, just 15 minutes on foot from the city center and around 20 minutes from the seafront, with the public transport nearby.
The room faces the courtyard, making it peaceful with no street noise.
An iron is available for direct rental to the room.
The reception staff are very friendly and helpful—special thanks for their advice, support, and organizing the hotel transfer. The hotel is clean and quiet. Despite being fully booked, we didn’t hear any noise from other guests, making it ideal for resting after a long, busy day in the city. Just a few small remarks from my personal perspective:
There is an issue with the hot water—you have to wait for the cold water to drain before it heats up.
Additionally, there is no large mirror either in the hotel room or in the corridor.
Only instant coffee is available; there is no coffee maker.
The breakfast selection isn’t extensive, but it was sufficient for me.
- Evgeny (6/5): Good place, but definitely overpriced during Formula 1 - Good location, friendly and helpful staff, clean room Hot water didn’t work properly, required some magic rituals to turn it on. Breakfast was very simple and of average quality. Price during formula 1 was too high for the quality.
- Daria (9/5): Superb - I chose the hotel for its proximity to the aero express bus stop and it was indeed within just a short walking distance and easy to access. Also, comfortably positioned to explore the city. The room was spacious and well-equipped with everything. Rasif at the reception was welcoming and very helpful.
- Adrian (8/5): Very good - very friendly staff
good location close to the train station if you wanna spend a quiet night here I recommend asking for a room facing towards the back yard.
showers seem to have slight temperature issues.
- Dimitar (7/5): Good - The reception staff is very helpful, nice, polite and friendly. The King-size room is a good size and has comfortable and new furniture. The location is good- about 20-25 min to the edge of the old town and 10 min to the sea garden. The breakfast was small, but sufficient. My room looked over a car park and was quiet. There was no hot water in the shower when i stayed there.
- Junker (10/5): Comfort and beat location - The staff was very polite and helped me a lot to plan my next day. The room is great, especially the mattress. There is also a bathrobe and hairdryer, as well as a. Kettle in the room. The breakfast is more than adequate and was prepared with love.
I had chosen the hotel because of its proximity to the main train station and the airport shuttle bus and will certainly book my room there again next time. Many thanks for the service.
- Karolina (9/5): Great accomodation in Baku - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Liberta. The hotel is well located just a short walk from the Boulevard and the Old Town, both of which are vibrant, especially at night. This made exploring the local attractions incredibly convenient.
The staff at the hotel was friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. I would like to extend special thanks to the welcoming team, particularly to the receptionists Azer and Rasif, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Sometimes the hot water was missing in our shower, we told that at the reception, and they explained to us that we have to let the cold water flow and wait for hot water, it usually took few minutes to get hot water, but overall that wasn't a big issue.
- Hassan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elena (9/5): Nice location: central but calm. - The stuff was very helpful. They offered me an early check-in even when they were not prepared: just asked me to wait half an hour and cleaned one room. Good breakfast. Strangely, warm water was a problem: once it just appeared for a while, but I finished my shower with cold water. Once I had to start the water and wait several minutes till it finelly gets warm.
- Armin (5/5): Passable - Mrs. İradə (if I'm not wrong), and all the reception staff were so friendly and amazing people. I liked them a lot. I expected the breakfast to include more types of foods and various types of breads to cover different preferences. The coffee should be fresh brewed coffee, not Jacobs 3 in 1!
- Ana (10/5): Great hotel - convenient location, spacious room, welcoming and helpful staff (thanks Rasif for your help) :) - Location, room size, staff Breakfast
- Muhammad (3/5): Not a Value for Money at all. - Nothing Room was very small, with noisy neighbourhood. Room was at ground floor and window curtains were broken. The hotel location was not charming at all and neighbourhood was not good. Breakfast was below average, and only available options were eggs or sausages.
- Aya (1/5): It was terrible - Anything The room is too small
The air conditioner isn’t working and dropping a water, of course we said that to the staff, but they didn’t fix it, and all the floor was wet
The first night they didn’t clean the room and didn’t change the towels
- Vv (9/5): Superb - Very clean, Its in the main street but very quiet rooms. Staffs are very active. We loved the stay Only very limited breakfast options
- Aliasgar (9/5): Superb -
- Blandino (10/5): Fantastic, happy and great. - From the time of check in till I checked out , I was well taken care of by the staff. Very helpfull and kind. The FRont office Mgr Yunus was helpful.
Yashar and Azer, these two guys are fantastic. Helped me in everyway possible, with locations, translations, taxi and also to get a Sim card. The in housekeeper Ms Irada was a gem of a person, she cooked a good breakfast for me everyday, while also making sure my room was made up everyday.locatin was perfect, not noisy at all. Overall 5 star rating for this property, it's clean, new, and cozy. Rooms are beautiful and spacious, I had taken the king-size bedroom. Very happy with Liberta hotel and Wil surely tel friends to stay there on thier visit next to baku. There is nothing I didn't like. Inwas taken care of well by all means.
- Mohdsaad (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent central location. Walking distance from the seaside and shooping centre.Hotel stuff was welcoming and supportive. Overall, great hotel to stay in during your vacation in Baku😍
