Mihai (8/5): Very nice place could easily be made perfect - This is a very lovely hotel in the middle of the old city. The interior is charming and the staff is awesome. Unfortunately, despite the fantastic nice people at the front desk, they serve breakfast starting at 8.30. First morning they moved fast. Today I was downstairs at 8.28 but he started setting up the tables and starting to work on breakfast at 8.30 and actually I received tea and food at 8.48. This caused a significant delay in my travel plans and arrival late at the airport. The location of the hotel requires internet and active data to follow directions. There are no signs for the hotel on the street until you reach it. (Like it seems all the hotels in the old city). The room is generously appointed and cozy but the fridge in the closet is useless without a plug, just as well the tray for making tea/coffee with no plug. The air conditioner is great but it cannot work without batteries in the remote. The bed is squeaky and the brass handles in the bathroom are falling off the wall. The batteries in the fire detectors need to be changed, they beeped continously for the last 24 hours. Seriously?
VERONIKA (10/5): В целом всё отлично, за исключением уборки мусора. - В Старом городе, близко и до старинных объектов, и до станции метро, идти минут 5-7. Хороший завтрак из свежих продуктов. Мне хватало. Персонал прекрасный, почти все , за исключением одного вечера, говорили на русском. Организуют трансфер в /из аэропорта Единственное, что не очень хорошо, что за три ночи ни разу не было уборки. Ну ладно уж уборки, полотенец в шкафу хватит надолго, но мусор из корзин надо убирать каждый день, не дело три дня смотреть на заполненные корзины.

La habitación 101 (para 1 Persona) es pequeña y el baño es minúsculo y tiene muchos detalles rotos, por ej. donde se cuelga la toalla se sale, la lluvia de la ducha rota, no tiene secador de cabellos, no limpian ni agregan artículos de limpieza y no tiene caja fuerte.

No limpian la habitación, estuve 4 noches con las mismas toallas. No tiene secador de cabello. No tiene caja fuerte. La tv nunca anduvo, ni cable ni nada. Muchos detalles rotos, por ej.la lluvia de la ducha estaba desprendida, se salía. El gancho para la toalla se salía.

Hamna (10/5): Cosy and traditional stay! - Beautiful property, very cosy and homely with so many traditional elements scattered around the entire hotel. It gives you an opportunity to experience the culture and vibe of the old city. Staff is extremely helpful and very cooperative. I had requested for a lower level room for my parents, which was catered to. We even requested for an early checkin and they made that happen as well. Breakfast was and simple yet great. Would definitely book this hotel again and cannot recommend enough, specially because of their staff.
Vimukthi (4/5): Disappointing - Friendly staff This is inside the old city so no taxis are allowed inside. Had to carry all luggage and walk 10 mins to hotel and back to road. Room was very tiny, not much space even to open the luggage. Had issues with the bathroom drainage and bad smell too. No lift and had to carry luggage from second floor.

Nader (9/5): Very comfortable and cozy. - Location is literally in the middle of old city which means you can access everywhere including restaurants, metro, Nizami st. And cafes in a walking distance, but you might need to use google maps to get to the hotel every time . The room is very clean but the toilet is a bit small but suits the needs. Staff are very friendly and welcoming specially Mr. Ali . BF is a small homemade portion of variety. Good value for money, defiantly recommended. There are no noise barriers so you might encounter a noisy neighbor who would disturb your night, in that case the reception would help communicating with him. Again location might be a little tricky without google maps. Besides there are no elevators so 3rd floor is not fine for old people.

I have received all needed for "surviving" - tea, coffee, sugar, nice smelling towels, paper, soap, shampoo, simple slippers etc. Room has working air conditioner. I didnt spend too much time in my room however it was exactly what i expected and wanted. What i liked the most was interaction with hotel service - all gentlemen were super helpful, nice to speak with (in english and in russian for me). Nothing about hotel didnt concern me however I may suggest to add some additional rules for people arriving. Last night of my stay some circus arrived to hotel, behaving super loud at night time - of course this is something related personal culture and not being selfish. However these people obviously didnt care about others. Door are not too thick so noises in corridor are easy to hear. Fortunatey, it was only one such situation in 4 nights stay.

The place and location ; so comfy and in the centre of old historical city Baku/inner city (İçərişəhər/Icheri Sheher) and within a walking distance to Nizami street and other tourists areas in Baku, also near to Metro station. 2. Hotel & the Room: a beautiful design interior, although the room is a bit small but really comfortable, and the bed is also comfy. 3. The staff, all of them were amazing, friendly, and helpful, especially Ali and Murad/Murat. 4. Cleaning; they respect your privacy and no noise, no knocking on doors ... very calm surroundings, and each morning, if you pass by reception for breakfast, they ask you if you need your room to be cleaned or not. But I would suggest that for extra improvement it would be helpful if simply provide each room for the door mark sign of "please make my room/ please don't disturb" for better and easy communication in regards to that for each party; the guest and hotel staffs. In general, the hotel is a very pleasant place, calm, clean, perfectly located, and valued for the money. The only con is not for the hotel itself but the old city area that private car(rented/Bolt) can't go in the old city ... so if you have heavy/large luggage, you need to push/pull it around and might be a bit difficult/tiring as it has cobblestone roads. If I came again , I would definitely book it again for its location, friendly staff and atmosphere.

It is located in a traffic free area, so is quiet Within the Old City are numerous restaurants and coffee shops with many shops selling souvenirs. Hotel facilities are simple, but the team working there are all friendly and helpful. In particular Murad was great and his customer service was 5 ⭐ Main areas of Baku are easily accessible on foot, Nizami St., Boulevard etc Breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable I really enjoyed my stay here and would happily return
Lorraine (8/5): Good location, great staff, good value for money - Good hotel, breakfast included, friendly and helpful staff, who try their best to help. Room is comfy, bathroom a little small but ok for single traveller. Location is great and bad at the same time. Very central in the old town, everything is walking distance which is great but taxis are not really allowed to get into, so after a night and sleepless flight the least you want is to hazzle your luggage around until you walk to the hotel all tired.

Camelia (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is actually a boutique hotel, but really nice decorated and in the city center. Lots of restaurants and shops there. The hotel location is quiet and 5-7 minutes walking from double gates and Nizami street. The staff from the reception is really nice, polite and helpful. They helped me even with taxi. Wi-fi is ok, breakfast good and the room was warm and cozy. Everything was ok. The size of the room is small, without too much space near the bed and for luggage. The location of the hotel is ok, but is in the downtown and for taxi you need to walk 5 minutes outside the gates of downtown, because is a pedestrian area and taxi are not allowed to come inside that area.

The room was so small we couldn't leave our luggages open, we had to take turns and put them away when we are done because there was no place to move. The staff is nice with understandable English, and always keen to help. When I checked in there’s some dirty stuff in the toilet. The toilet had a funny smell from the gutter, and the guy didn’t change room for me but just give me an air fresher.

They helped arrange a vegan meal for me as well, which I really appreciated. The hotel itself is cozy inside. Overall I recommend this place! The room was a little too small so I had to be very careful moving around it. Other than that, everything was great!

Julia (10/5): All the good reviews were true! - I chose the place because of all the good reviews I’d read and can confirm that they indeed were all true. Very cute and cozy boutique hotel. I loved the way it was decorated, in traditional theme. The bed was great. The airconditioner worked great. I loved the shower - I want one like that at home! I love that when you open the window in the morning, you see a narrow curving street of the Old town underneath and feel the city slowing beginning to wake up. I loved how the breakfast tables were placed in the hall, so very cozy. The breakfast was good, in traditional style, with eggs made to order. I had an overnight flight and arrived past 5 am. It feels really nice when you do not arrive to a closed door and have someone waiting for you at the reception. The check-out was at 12, not too early. Gives you a chance of a walk around Icherisheher after breakfast, then you come back, change, pack - and your suitcase is being watched safely at the reception as long as you need.

Lifanova (7/5): Great place to stay 2-3 nights - Great location in the old town. All tourist attractions are within walking distance. Area is very quiet. Staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is nice, decorated in old and traditional style, but in my opinion it needs some renovation, especially bathrooms.

Tom (10/5): Amazing location, beautiful city, excellent staff - The staff were excellent. Murad was great, his colleague (didn’t get the name) was great. He picked us up from our taxi and walked us to the hotel at 4am when we arrived because the city was closed due to the F1 track. Everyone was very welcoming and made our stay so memorable. Nothing, it was great.

Esther (9/5): Welcoming and comfortable stay in a great location in Baku - The friendly and helpful staff really made the place feel welcoming, excellent location in the heart of the old city and comfortable room with nice decor. Decent breakfast included and good internet. We stayed here for 4 nights (extended our original stay) and would be happy to stay here again. The room is a little small for 2 people, but it was well-appointed and good value for the location and price.

They did not do any renovation, just rased price for 10 times. (Around 900 euro.) I paid ~90. Bad Wifi in the room. On booking website written that you can pay by card, but they says just cash..

Yadav (9/5): Superb - The stay was absolutely wonderful! We stayed as a family for 4 nights. Murad and the housekeeping staff (I do not know her name though) at the hotel was absolutely amazing! Murad was super helpful and kind and hospitable. The housekeeping staff and just amazing and the rooms were very clean. The location is central and everything is at walking distance. Only room for improvement would be, there should be food incase you are hungry for lunch and dinner. We had breakfast but came in late at night one day and would have appreciated it if we had some food at night or maybe some delivery joint contacts. - It's a bit tricky to reach inside the hotel. So should have provided instructions to reach the hotel, especially if you're coming first time to the country. Guidance to reach the hotel would be a great addition. These are suggestions for betterment, but this property is a must visit. Especially as it's a heritage and gives you the rustic feel.
Olga (10/5): A comfy cozy place with great caring staff, feels homy and very safe :) - I’ve had a wonderful stay at Xan hotel. The place was great, clean, comfortable and very authentic, the location was perfect and the staff was extremely friendly. Especially a huge thanks to receptionist Murad who was extremely helpful, considerate, polite and positive. I was lucky to experience perfect service like at 5-star hotel, but with a nice and cozy vibe of a small and homy place, endlessly hospitable and warm-welcoming. Other than that, the breakfast was big and sufficient, with lots of small plates that made me experiencing something traditional. I literally liked everything and truly enjoyed my stay. Thank you! -

Jhayde (10/5): It’s perfect short stay - The place is extremely clean and I love how authentic it looks. It gives you a classic Azerbaijani vibe to it. The receptionist is also helpful. There may be a language barrier but it’s all good. He’s been really helpful and I had a good stay. Highly recommend it! Maybe more essentials needs like an iron or even a lotion. Otherwise, it’s all good.

Wrong address on bookings.com for hotel. Also very difficult to find as not reflected on g map. Thankfully locals who did not even know of hotel were able to phone them to allow location of hotel.

Shahid (4/5): Hotel owner need to fix the location and put in google map. Or nearby put several sign or name of the property - Very close to old town No signs of proper. Very inside the tunnel. Very hard to find the location. It’s not located in google either. Even the police don’t know it. But finally 2 hours found the property. Which was very disappointed. It’s like a house.

Joseph (4/5): Avoid at all costs - A terrible smell in the ensuite bathroom that the hotel clerk attempted to relieve with an extra air freshener instead of getting a plumber to fix it.My request for a move to a different room fell on deaf ears.Breakfast was not available in the hotel itself but in another hotel across the street.Dreadful fare.The fruit & veg on offer wasn't fresh,the bread,cake and biscuits were stale and the coffee simply rank.I pre booked a taxi for the airport on my last night and the night porter wasn't aware of this when I came down to reception at the appointed time.He then rang the driver ( his friend ) and duly informed me the taxi wouldn't arrive for at least 30 minutes.I lost my temper,criticised the inefficient manner in which the hotel was being run and promised to post a scathing review online.Approximately five minutes later the "taxi" arrived.Simply not good enough.Avoid at all costs.
