Guest Reviews
- Niall (8/5): Very enjoyable experience overall. - Location was excellent if you are happy to do a bit of walking. Overall the facilities were great. One of the best features is the roof terrace. Some one met us on site to open up and provide a tour of the property. There was no information or guidance for any of the appliances etc. The TV did not work, which was reported but was not acted upon. No hoover or floor brushes for keeping things tidy.
- Sigrid Nikoline (6/5): - Det var meget nyt og var præg af at der ikke havde været mange besøgende. Dertil gik det varme vand og de var længe om at fikse det.
- sandrine (10/5): Great flat to discover Florence - The location (close to all the tourist sites), the equipment of the flat, and the view were all good The cleaning could have been more thorough
- Raluca (8/5): Well-equipped, well-located apartment to explore Florence - It's a good-sized apartment with plenty of space for two people. It is well equipped with pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are lovely balconies on each side, and the bedrooms have beautiful views over the green neighborhood. You can see the Dome from the terrace adjacent to the kitchen and living room. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on a different balcony each morning. :) Although somewhat outside the touristy areas, which we loved, it is in a historic neighborhood within walking distance to the city centre and most attractions. I think public transportation is nearby, on the main street, but since we prefer walking, we didn't bother to check. We walked everywhere! It took us about 20 minutes to reach Ponte Vecchio, 20 - 30 minutes to get to the Uffizi Galleries, and maybe 30 - 40 minutes to reach Piazza del Duomo. Also, on foot, it's about 40 minutes to the train station. It is super close to Piazzale Michelangelo, famous for its belvedere spot. Although it seems there is nothing around but residential buildings, as you turn right from the building entrance and reach the main street, if you keep straight ahead after you cross the street, you can find a Carrefour Express in about 600 m. A coffee shop with a lovely terrace is also around the corner, on the street behind the buildings in front. Good communication with the hosts; they were responsive and supportive when needed. It took us a while and several phone calls to figure out how to have hot water running. The tap in the shower is reversed (cold is hot and hot is cold), which didn't take a degree to figure out; however, the water heater seemed to have a mind of its own and kept on stopping, sending down jets of cold water. Brrr! On arrival, we were told that if that happened, we should switch it off and then switch it on again. It didn't do the trick, though, and it kept on stopping. After several attempts, it looked like the real trick was to turn the water on hot to the maximum (remember cold is hot and hot is cold), let it run until hot, then slowly (very slowly) adjust to optimal temperature. This way, the water heater stayed on for the duration of your shower. It could be because the water heater was on gas, not electric. I am not sure, but it makes for a funny story now. Remember that time in Florence? :)))
- Simona (8/5): Very good -
- James (8/5): Good clean accommodation, in nice location with a fabulous view of the city. - Quite location and outside space. Lack of details in property description on how many flights of stairs we had to climb with lots of luggage and no lift. Identification of apartment would of been useful as well, as there were 2 apartments when we got to the top of the stairs.
Gas hob front 2 rings did not work.
1 of the coffee machines did not work.
Plugs sockets were too small for our European adaptors.
- Stephen (8/5): Nice three day stay in Florence with a pretty decent place to do it from. - Pretty good location (only about 30 mins walk from centre). Rooftop terrace with a great view. Not really the property’s fault but there were a LOT of mosquitoes. We all got bitten quite a bit.
- Helen (7/5): Good -
- Keli (8/5): it was nice but payment if city tax was horrible to accomplish - location, roof top terrace. nice apartment the floors were not clean
- Sue (9/5): Superb - Lovely size flat, great views - mosquitos were a challenge and the steps to the top floor a bit of a challenge. Lovely airy, claim flat.
- Loren (9/5): Superb -
- Janeki (8/5): Very good -
- Akbar (8/5): Very good -
- Duxberry (10/5): Fabulous family break - The roof terrace The stairs!
- John (9/5): Great apartment close to attractions with an excellent roof top deck. - We stayed for 4 nights in July. The apartment was great. We really enjoyed the roof top deck and the sunsets over Florence. We found that it was an easy walk from the apartment to the sights of Florence. The apartment had lots of room, and was one of our favourites on our trip.
