- The apartment is nice, with everything needed.
- Good wifi. I mean, really good. Which is not very usual in the city.
- The houses are beautiful, the pools are cleаn, the staff is ok.
- Private terraces for each house; beautiful flowers and plants everywhere.
- The terrace of the apartment is very cool and relaxing.
- The host is very nice and helped me with everything.
- There's a pharmacy, a laundry, a supermarket, 2 very nice cafeterias and many travel agencies.
- Hollywood Sharm el Sheikh is right next and it offers some amazing views and shows every night. A must-see.
- You can get to Naama, Hadaba or Soho easily from there, as it's right next to the road where minibuses pass.
- It's just an overall great place to stay! -
- The dog!! That horrible, nasty dog, barking like crazy all the time (even at 1am at night!) and behaving agressively, harassing people, getting into apartments. Walking totally loose and the owners seem not to give a f.
I had to literally warn and yell at the owners and also use an anti-bug spray and throw stones at it, to make it stay far from me.
After 3 complaints Sunny Lakes staff started to kind of try to move it somewhere far from the pool area, but not always and I believe it's not a question to be solved with the dog, but with its owners.
It's simple: it cannot go loose, if they let it loose - they should simply be kicked out from the residence or at least their dog for sure.
The rules regarding dogs are actually written in Sunny Lakes rules, publically displayed in signboard rules at the entrance and everywhere in the residence.
- The staff at the supermarket is very weird and always lets locals to pass before you, even if you arrived to the line long before them. I had to start arguing loudly a couple of times, cause people arrive after you, throw their products to the cashier (yes, they literally throw them) and the cashier ignores you, when you ask him wtf is going on and why is he serving first sb who arrived 5 min after you and is served first, as if you don't exist. Seems like that supermarket general policy ... this in a residence where 50% of the residents are foreigners. Let alone, they don't speak even basic English there ...
Every time I had to go there I felt stressed for one reason or another, so I actually ended up going to Bassem Supermarket, 1,5 km away (the closest one).
- The air conditioning is pointing right at the beds and there's no way to make it blow upwards. Had to switch it off at night sometimes.
Let me make it clear: the dog and the supermarket issues have nothing to do with the apartment itself and the host, which are very good :)
This is why it's still a positive review!
