• Nellyreth (10/5): Hospitalidad y Acogedor - Lo que mas nos gusto fue el servicio y la hospitalidad de las personas dueñas del lugar, realmente fueron muy amables. Nos ayudaron a celebrar una fecha especial para nosotros. Adicional, pagamos el desayuno el cual estuvo muy rico y completo. No nos disgusto nada.

• Fernando (7/5): Muy buena atención del anfitrión. Faltan adecuaciones para mejorar la experiencia - Lugar muy campestre y tranquilo, desde la madrugada se escuchan las aves. Falta un poco de adecuaciones y para muchas personas el aire acondicionado y la TV son claves. En nuestro caso estuvo bien

• Antonia (10/5): Schöne Unterkunft und herzliche Gastgeber - Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt ganz in der Nähe der Tatacoa-Wüste. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben uns sowohl die Tour mit Joe als auch unseren Transport zum Flughafen organisiert. Die Tour war übrigens absolut empfehlenswert . Joe ist ein klasse Guide. Die Hütten sind sehr hübsch und gemütlich. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. /

• Adrian... (10/5): Green, wild, beautiful - It was the best experience since last few years for me. This place is gorgeous, very green, Big banana trees around. Birds are signing all day. Owner is very friendly. I wake up really early and he offered coffee. Tatacoa desert is close.
• Milena (10/5): - Die Unterkunft war sehr besonders und mitten in der Natur. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Man kommt von dort aus sehr gut zum Tatacoa Desert. Die Unterkunft wird vom Besitzer stückchenweise weitergebaut, mit viel Liebe zum Detail.

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. die Innenausstattung der Häuser war sehr schlicht.die Môglichkeit mittags oder abends etwas zu trinken, beschränkte sich auf den cocacolaautomaten. Allerdings konnte man einfaches und gutes kolumbianisches Essen bestellen.

• S (10/5): - Nos encantó el lugar. Las camas son cómodas, los dueños súper amables y las mascotas (perritos y gatos) son adorables, además, se nota que están muy bien cuidadas. También nos ayudaron a conseguir un guía para ir al desierto y siempre estuvieron muy atentos en todo momento. Disfrutamos mucho de la tranquilidad del lugar y de las hamacas. Lo recomendamos al 100 %.

• Koen (9/5): Een heerlijk, lekker basic verblijf! - Wat een lieve mensen die dit hotel runnen. We werden keurig opgepikt van de luchthaven voor een zeer redelijk prijs. Kamers zijn simpel maar komen helemaal overeen met de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Wordt in de ochtend een prima ontbijtje voor je gemaakt. Naast gelegen dorp is rustig en voorzien van een paar prima restaurantjes. Zijn één dag zelfstandig de rode woestijn gaan lopen en met een gids (geadviseerd door het hotel) de grijze woestijn. Een heel bijzonder gebied dat we niet hadden willen missen deze reis. Geen opmerkingen, voldeed volledig.

• Deanne (9/5): We had an awesome stay - The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The place is build by hand and very colorful. They have mosquito nets everywhere and it’s close to the desert and town.

• Vera (9/5): - Es un lindo lugar, fresco en medio del desierto. Sus cabañas debajo de grandes samanes y con jardínes, son un gran acierto. Las cabañas son pequeñas, pero suficientes y la atención de Rodolfo fue oportuna y muy gentil. La frescura, la tranquilidad y !el gran chorro de agua de la ducha!

Por el precio debería incluir desayuno, no hay amenidades en la zona social, a excepción de un televisor comunal ya que en la habitación tampoco hay televisor, ningún tipo de juego o algo similar, también por el clima se extraña una piscina, el lugar es bonito y las cabañas están se ven cuidadas, pero es un lugar solo para pasar la noche, no hay nada que hacer allí.

• Kyra (8/5): - Sehr liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft mit kleinen Holzhütten und wunderbaren Außenduschen, nette und hilfsbereite Leute, Kolibris beim Frühstück und viel Natur Wir haben eine guided Tour gemacht durch die Tatacoa Wüste, gebucht übers Hostel und auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert! Für die Kommunikation mit dem Guide und den Vortrag im Planetarium sind Spanischkenntnisse praktisch Transport von und nach Neiva haben wir ebenfalls übers Hostel buchen können

• Simina (6/5): Pleasant - The owner scammed me when booking a tour at the reception. He told me one price when I asked him and charged me way more when I booked the tour. Not okay and I don't like to support locals who get greedy towards their guests like that! Also there was very loud music from the place next door every single night. I couldn't rest well. I do not recommend this stay!
• Laetitia (10/5): Perfect place to rest and escape - This is by far one of the best customer service I’ve received in all the hostels I’ve done through South America. The owners care so much about our experience and make sure we get all the help we need. They assisted us with our tours, they were more than comprehensive with our super late check-in and little issues and they created an absolutely lovely atmosphere. The place is beautiful. Truly an oasis. Colorful, full of plants and very private. The accomodation was clean, the bathroom was so nice and it felt very comfortable and intimate. I highly recommend the place. You can walk to everywhere in the village and the dogs there are the sweetest. Thanks again!

• Gillon (10/5): Lovely hosts and cute bamboo huts - Everyting was perfect. From the cute room with outdoor bathroom to the lovely owners. Before our arrival we ran into roadblocks and arrived at the place at 23.30 hrs. Check in slot had already passed but the owner waited for us. Next day he helped us with our desert trip. They also helped us qith booking transport. We left early in de morning but they already had made us coffee. They made sure that the bus stopped at their place for us to board. Such nice people! Nothing
• Alysse (10/5): Exceptional - Colourful, gorgeous and spacious little individual cabins. The hosts are very kind and welcoming and helpful despite the language barrier in my case. It’s located on the road to the Tatacoa Desert so you can easily get a tuk tuk to pick you up from the hostel to go. A small 6 minute walk to the VillaVieja city center. Had a great stay would definitely recommend! Nothing. Unless you want a pool, but there’s plenty of other hostels you can go to to use theirs for a small fee.

There is a bar next to it that might get loud by the end of the week. I did not hear the bar until very late at night. Dogs bark around the area. I wore earplugs to help myself get the rest I needed.
• Simina (7/5): Good - Nice hotel, well taken care of, beautiful garden, outdoor bathroom, clean, short walk to town center. Do not book your desert tour here! It is overpriced. The owner told me one price, then charged me double (40 EUR)! You get a better deal if you book your tour directly with the Tuk Tuk drivers in town. Also, there was very loud music in the weekends playing next door in the middle of the night (2-3 AM), which woke me up.

• Robbe (1/5): Very disappointed in this crappy place to stay - Nothing Communication with the owners is worthless. They only speak Spanish and make no effort to speak English or use a translation app. At night the animals make noise all night long and in the meantime you are eaten by the insects that can easily enter through all the cracks in the walls. There are no mosquito nets so all the insects will sting you all night long. The owners are liars who abuse the goodwill of the clients. They promise a tour that is 40,000 COP and during the tour you are told that it is 100,000 COP. We also bought a tour of 100,000 COP per person to the grey desert and the natural swimming pool, but when we arrived in the grey desert we still had to pay an entrance fee to the desert and the swimming pool. The guide of our ordered tour would also speak some English, according to the owners, and would guide us through the desert with a translation app. However, the guide did not speak a word of English and did not make any effort to use a translation app. 100,000 COP per person for this tour is pure theft. It is better to book a cheaper and better tour with a recognized organization where the guide speaks English. The taxi companies drive to Villavieja from Neiva for 85,000 COP. The accommodation charges 100,000 COP and dumps you in an illegal old junk car where the trunk cannot even be opened and your luggage is dumped on the seats. Theft again. Don't be fooled by the friendly smile of the owners, because he will rob you right in front of you.
• Anouk (10/5): A lovely and authentic location that is super clean. Stay here if you are visiting the desert. - This place is hosted by a lovely couple who know the region by heart and give great tips on what to visit. They organise tours to visit the valley and offer a great breakfast. The rooms are super clean and have all the comfort you need. It was a great experience staying here. Since you are staying in cabins you can hear your neighbours. But everyone is very respectful and respects each other’s silence at night. We didn’t have any problems with noise complaints.

• Nata_nefelibata (9/5): Charming - I loved the design of the cabins specially the bathroom. All the cabin had mosquito nets protection, so bugs were not a problem You could hear the birds in the early morning. It is close to the road that leads into the desert, so it was calm. Walking distance from the main square. We arrived by ferry in the motorcycle, so they were so kind to give us instructions to move around without a guide.

• Rob (8/5): Very good - The location is great as it’s really close to the Tatacoa Desert. We stayed here for one night on a ride through South America on our motorcycles. Ricardo and his wife are really pleasant people and we were able to store our bike there for the day while we were visiting the desert.
