- Bree (4/5): Great location, but unfortunately, the house requires improvements. - The location was fantastic, right across the road from the beach and just a short walk to plenty of restaurants and shops. It’s a great town to explore, with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly locals. The private outdoor entertaining area was also appreciated, especially given the constant foot traffic passing by to stop and look at the for-sale signs at both the front and rear of the property. Unfortunately, we had a disappointing end to our stay. Prior to our allocated check out time, the cleaners let themselves onto the property, opening and accessing the latched driveway gates and driving in while we were still inside. It felt extremely intrusive and unprofessional to be watched and rushed like that, especially when we were simply getting ready to leave on time for an already early 9.30am checkout.
There were also several other issues that made our stay less enjoyable than we'd hoped. The lack of air conditioning was not desirable in such a hot and humid area. While the fans in the bedrooms helped at night, there was no cooling in the lounge room, dining or kitchen, which made it uncomfortable to spend time together in the main living spaces.
I was also surprised by the $500 deposit requirement. On top of this, an unadvertised card surcharge was applied which felt misleading and pushed our total cost higher than we initially budgeted for.
Throughout the entirety of our five-day stay, we had no Wi-Fi. When we contacted the owners, we were told that “work was being done” and nothing could be done about it. Basic supplies were also lacking, we were provided with three rolls of toilet paper for eight guests over five nights, meaning we had to purchase more ourselves.
Overall, these issues added up and unfortunately detracted from what could have been a much more enjoyable stay.

Hardly drove anywhere for food, recreation and a great village feel with accommodation right in the middle. Unfortunately, some hot days during our stay and no aircon at premises so relied on fans, cold showers and outside sea breeze to cool down, sort of. We understand building will likely be redeveloped in time so this may be an expense to owners however can be a bit uncomfortable on warmer days.
- Maree (8/5): Location, Location, Location!!! Nothing can beat a clean, spacious house in a fantastic location. - The location is outstanding. Across the road is Lennox Head Beach. Out the front door are restaurants, cafes, groceries and anything else you could need. The house was so clean and chic inside. Even though you are in the hub of Lennox at night it is so quiet and you fall asleep to the sound of the waves!! Brilliant. The lack of air conditioning was a bit of an issue. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms but not in the lounge or dining room. The laundry is great but it would have been wonderful to have a dryer. Some portable fans might be useful. The addition of a simple outdoor shower would be very handy.
