Guest Reviews

- Pilon (10/5): I came to a Vancouver‘s biggest convention the AA convention. There wasn’t too many rooms around so I was able to stumbl - I love the entrance. It was very well lit up, and I loved the design it has.

- Michelle (9/5): Superb - This was a simple room, perfectly clean and functional. It is ideal for a budget traveller. Really good transport links for the airport, downtown and UBC. The host was really helpful, great communication and there was a grocery store, bar/restaurant and coffee shop less than 5 minutes walk. It is a simple accommodation that might not be for everybody but it was perfect for me for my stay.
- Sarah (10/5): Wonderful, splendid - The hospitality of the host, very kind and helpful, was willing to answer every question or concerns that I had, he even went an extra mile to help me navigate through vancouver, I didn't have to worry about catching a train or buses Air conditioning not available, I think if availed it would be far much better
- Harvey (10/5): Ideal location, amenities close by, charming property, made me feel like I was at home - The host and the guest were amazing, I will likely try to stay with this host again, he has several properties, all very clean , in quiet neighborhoods, and very hospitable, usually stay at international hostels but this one is easily as good as any international hostel, I will stay again if possible The heat was only on during the day but the nights are cold
- Gregory (8/5): Very good -
- Nathaniel (8/5): Very good -

- Michelle (10/5): interesting area near beach, very clean, great facilities - very clean. excellent location near to beach, shops, restaurants and easy connections to all parts of the city. peaceful house with owner attentive and quickly responds to any problem. comfortable bed and plentiful hot water shower. shared kitchen with other guest that is equipped. closet space.good WiFi 24 hours. nothing. vancouver is expensive but a great place to stay.
- Aj (10/5): Great Location! Clean! Affordable! Great Communication! Even let me drop my bags off early until my room was ready. - The location of the property was excellent! Was close to broadway which had lots of cafes as well as the standard Starbucks and Tim Hortons and a 7/11 just on the corner which you could catch the #14 bus which takes you straight downtown via many great locations! Having been apprehensive as I’ve always stayed in hotels this was a great affordable option and would definitely stay here again! Your own private bedroom with a lockable door, a shared bathroom which I always found to be clean and I didn’t even hear the other guests. I was out at 5am till 7pm most days but never had any issues with noise. If you’re looking for something simple and affordable in a great location I would definitely recommend! I did not experience any issues with my stay, I was very mindful of how I left the bathroom and quietly coming and going which could be an issue if others did not show the same respect but as I said in my previous statement I experienced no issues with the other guests and did not even know they were there.
- Campbell (3/5): Poor - The carpet in the room was disgusting. Stained and old. The room was small with a desk, bookshelf and bed. Everything in the room was cheap quality and worn.
- Allison (6/5): Pleasant - Kind staff, great location. Quiet area. Would like to have a charging station for phones, I had my usb cables but no where to plug them in. Bed was really hard mattress making it difficult to sleep. Shower did not work, had to take a bath instead.
- Tahlia (5/5): Passable - Cleaner was friendly and majority of house was tidy. The shower/ bath tub plug drain was full of hair -
My bed had black long hairs on it and I have red hair . The cost was similar to a hotel - felt it was over priced to be sharing facilities with others. It was advertised as Kitsilano but much further than I realised - closer to Jericho beach. No supermarket close to purchase food- about a 10 min bus ride.
20 min to get to Kits beach via bus.
- Jalal (7/5): Decent place to stay at vancouver - Location Amenities not as good as they seem
- Dennis (8/5): Very good - I liked the liked that I had a king size bed with an air conditioner in the room. I didn't line the peculiar smell to the place, just had a musty smell, wasn't unbearable, just kind of annoying.
- Charles (7/5): Good - Peaceful
- Basem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zachary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (10/5): nice rooms in quiet clean suburban house - Spotless and quiet 3-story ~5 bedroom home in a suburban neighborhood that has been converted into a shared bathroom hostel/hotel. 3rd floor unit had a nice view, working desk, comfy bed. The bathroom was clean and everything worked. The manager communicates timely and well but only by text and is not there most of the day, which is fine with me. The manager unlocks the door remotely for you so you don't need to wait for them to check in, then you get a key you can use to access any time. The kitchen had a large fridge, microwave, and the common room had comfy couch and kitchen table. Convenient bus access 1 block away goes to downtown and UBC. 7-11 and falafel 1 block away, many tasty trendy international restaurants of Kitsilano 3-15 blocks away. The non-resident manager situation might be a problem if another guest is noisy or dirty, but I didn't have this problem. From the room you can see building construction about 2 blocks away but the noise was not a problem for me. One night there were some rowdy drunks on the street 1 block away but generally this is a quiet safe neighborhood.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - This place was warm, quiet and a great place to walk to beaches, and parks.

- Patrick (7/5): Good -
- Max (7/5): Good -
- Irene (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean apartment in a safe and residential area of Vancouver. Around 30 mins by bus from the city center and from the nicest beaches of the city as well. It has the laundry machine and the drying machine. Very useful.
- Jcalum6 (10/5): Great value! -
- Barrett (9/5): Generally quite good! - Great location, big room, host and owner both present at times during my stay Not the cleanest but for the price it was acceptable.
- Emmanuel (7/5): My stay was okay - I didn't take breakfast I couldn't get iron to press my shirt
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Location, quiet, shared facilities not busy.
- Tom (10/5): It was so good I never expected it to be - Comfort, respect and quietness of the place. Cooking my desired meal at the premises
- Linda (8/5): Great stay. Excellent location & value. - Great location. No7 bus just round the corner to/from downtown.
- Akary (10/5): Exceptional - good location and parking Quite
- Mojtaba (8/5): Very good -
- Mario (9/5): Superb - Location. Kitchen and laundry for guests. All spotlessly clean! Anthony host was Very helpful on info where to.go in Vancouver. Buses directions. My best regards to Anthony one of a kind. Cheers!
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional - loved the location, very easy to get downtown by bus or even Uber. The walks were splendid! Nothing to complain about. All and all very pleasant experience!
- Melina (7/5): For a short, relatively inexpensive stay, it met my needs. - The area/house was very safe and quiet. The host was pleasant and helpful but not invasive of privacy. The bathroom, for having to share, was very clean. The bed was comfortable. All in all for a short stay, it was adequate. Some things were not very clean considering the $50 cleaning fee. I'm very fussy about that. Door handles/light switches seemed grubby. Bedding although appearing fresh had stains which was off putting. The shower didn't seem to work although I didn't verify that with the host. Only towels were provided, no wash cloth.
- Kavish (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xijia (10/5): Great living experience. Really nice people here. Love this place. - Nice host. Really nice place.
- Bilal (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (8/5): Very good -
- Matt (5/5): Passable -
- Aline (4/5): Nice location, overpriced and small room. - The location was in a nice area.
The Hause keeper (not owner) was friendly. Very uncomfortable bed, small room, hardly any equipment. Way to expensive.
- Linda (9/5): Great stay! Clean, convenient. - Location, clean. Road noise.
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Very convenient location, nice house, comfortably furnished, everything I could have needed was provided Nothing.
- Co (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maarten (8/5): Very good -
- Doreen (5/5): It was clean and comfortable, a good price and a great location for us but they could make a few low cost improvements t - Great location as we were at ubc often. Easy street parking. Clean. Safe neighborhood. It was a bit lacking. Little things would help.a lot.. a keurig coffee machine even if I had to buy my own pods? 2nd nightstand and bedside lamp are really a must in my opinion. Blinds wouldn’t close (broken) which we let host know right away. Missing hair dryer but he got one for us. Outdoor chairs on deck would make it more inviting. Outdoor entry needed to be swept of dead leaves). The host was very nice and tried to help with the broken blinds. Def need to add pictures of interior on the listing.
- Henrik (3/5): Overpriced - Good location on point grey. Poor room with almost no facilities. Overpriced for what it is. Seems like making money is more important than giving good experiences for travellers.
