- Dash (3/5): Not worth it! Pay a few bucks more for a better place… - Decent location on mellow street. The host was pleasant the next day when I met her. Online check in process is terrible. I arrived and two other people were trying to sort it out and call somebody to get instructions on what to do since there was no staff present. It got sorted out quickly, but it was stressful. Terrible way to do business! Then the room wasn’t very clean, hairs on the sink, little trash on the floor, and the towel was extremely mildewed. It is possible that I had bad luck because I think I arrived on a holiday friday?? But even then the problems I mentioned are unacceptable even if it was a holiday.

- Helen (1/5): Do not book this hotel - There's nothing to like On arrival we we were initially unable to gain access to the hotel which appeared dark & unwelcoming. Eventually a person who appeared to be the cleaner opened the door & asked us to return a little later to check in. There were dirty sheets on the table in the dining area. She gave us a code to gain access but on returning later this did not work & the digital door entry panel kept showing low battery. Eventually the same person came to the door & let us in. There was no receptionist or any other staff in evidence, only the cleaner. She appeared to know nothing about us & contacted someone on the phone who she asked us to speak to. This person asked us to check in on line but I could not understand her instructions. The cleaner then said she would take us to a room & sort the details in the morning. The place was dark & unwelcoming & the dirty sheets were still on the table in the dining area which did not appear to be in use. We were not at all happy with this set up so decided to leave & go elsewhere. We think this hotel should be removed from the booking.com site in light of ours & others experiences reviewed on Tripadvisor.

I loved the decoration and the furniture look elegant and sophisticated. The staff were amazing super attentive and very caring. The toiletries were divine. Extremely recommended for anyone seeking to be in a calm and serene environment.
- Camilo Moreno Gómez (7/5): Mas un airbnb que un hotel boutique. - la habitación es comoda y esta bien para viajes rápidos de trabajo en donde solo se vaya a dormir. La ubicación es muy buena en el barrio Laureles y el tiempo de respuesta del propietario es muy buena. No me gusto para nada los precios ocultos, si bien se aclara que al precio publicado en booking puede agregarse otro valor como el IVA, es preferible que lo incluya y si se exime a un extranjero de pagarlo, lo verá como un descuento y lo agradecerá, adicionalmente, me cobraron un fee por limpieza, acaso esto no está publicado como un hotel y el aseo normalmente ya está incluido en el precio. Nunca se habló de que el pago fuera por adelantado y se comunicaron conmigo para que pagara por adelantado para darme los códigos de acceso, a lo cual, les dije que prefería pagar en el establecimiento con la Tarjeta de crédito y la sorpresa fue ver que no hay recepción, no hay personal, es una habitación mas cercana a un Airbnb que a un hotel. Muy mal ver estos detalles a última hora, no son publicados y sentí que adquirí otro producto muy diferente a lo que encontré en realidad y esto le resta valoración al sitio. Sean claros y especifiquen las cosas en la ofértame, de lo contrario estarían incurriendo en publicidad engañosa.

- Crystal Conway (10/5): It was a wonderful stay and I will definitely return. - Andres The owner/Manager of the property was very professional and kept the communication open when I had issues with my wifi to apply payment for the hotel thru my creditcard. He was so generous that he offered me to pay up front with cash for 4 days until my cell phone issues were fixed and I can pay for the rest of the duration. He communicated with my agent Crystal all the time and they both together made my travel so much easier. I will definitely return to this property as Andre was an amazing host.

- Alejandra (1/5): UN ROBO - Nada La seguridad del lugar es NULA, cuando llegué pude abrir la puerta sin ningún tipo de seguridad e ingresar a todo el edificio donde las puertas de las habitaciones son totalmente de vidrio trasparente, la actitud del dueño fue pésima, es una persona grosera y ventajosa, exigiéndome pagar el total de la reserva aún si no me quedaba porque “se la iban a cobrar a él” cuando llame a Booking a preguntar me dijeron que es MENTIRA, que era decisión de él cobrarla, y él alegaba que le había quitado la posibilidad de reservar a otra persona porque lo iban a bloquear cuando la reserva la había hecho hace menos de una hora y el equipo de booking también me confirmó que eso del bloqueo también es mentira, lo que demuestra la actitud de una persona APROVECHADA. Si tienen la oportunidad de quedarse ahí DESAPROVÉCHENLA, en Medellín hay lugares donde la GENTE ES HONESTA, con mejores instalaciones, seguridad, mejor atención y a buen precio😉

Hubo muchos inconvenientes con la reserva, el dia del ckekkin se comunicaron por la tarde informando que debia consignar previamente la noche de hotel me dieron el precio de booking y una foto donde consignar pedi que me pasaran el enlace porque tenia otro banco, nunca me lo enviaron, una hora despues de que no contestaran el telefono envie la consignacion via whastapp, escribi 2 horas esperando instrucciones hasta que me toco escribir a booking y ahi si respondieron y me dijeron que faltaron 200.000 que habia que consignar de un deposito y que no se recibia en el hotel, eso nunca lo habian dicho, volvi y consigne los 200.000 y se por fin enviaron las claves de acceso, deberian informar que es mas un airbnb que hotel, todo es autogestionable. Por ultimo llegamos al hotel y nos recibieron cucarachas en el pasillo y en la habitacion.

Pas de café ni de restaurant. Dans la chambre 207; tv dispo seulement pour Netflix.....coffre fort ne fonctionne pas. Chambre qui semble neuve avec étagères à moitié montées. Fenêtre donnant sur la rue qui ne se verrouille pas. Sol en bois qui n' est pas collé et où on emporte des morceaux quand on marche dessus. Robinet de douche monté à l' envers.

- Gloria (5/5): Fine for a short stay if just sleep there. - The hotel is really cute and the decor is nice. My rating is low because I saw some appliances not properly installed or functional in my room, such as a the outlets where barely placed on the wall, the lamp didn't work, the fridge wire didn't reach the socket. Small details that can be improved upon. I also found the staff polite and attentive, however, there were guests throwing parties, making noise, doing drugs, and this was detrimental for my stay. It lowers the quality of the hotel, specially a "boutique" hotel. It was not a boutique experience.

- Mariana (6/5): Ubicación y Precio Perfecta, servicio por mejorar. - La ubicación es perfecta, Laureles es un barrio que tiene mucha oferta gastronómica y esta central a diferentes destinos turísticos. El precio estuvo perfecto. La atención y organización por parte del hotel, nos levantaron a las 3am por que hubo un error en las reservas, no llevaban un control adecuado de quien entraba y salía.

It's a great neighborhood with so many restaurants, coffee houses, etc., down the street, around the corner, within a few blocks. They didn't seem at all prepared to receive guests. I received no response to two messages I'd sent before arriving. Upon arrival, no one was at the property to let us in. The room we were given still had trash in the bins, in the desk, etc. The rooms are small and cramped. No hangers in the closet, no soap in the bathroom. Several rooms don't even have windows. The hotel amenities listed in the description weren't available (no bar, no spa services)

- Nicolae (3/5): Disappointed - The location was very good, quiet, clean and the architecture of the building very nice. First of all, the "receptionist" (I will call him later like this, because I don't know who was the person from the desk, as he doesn't speak any language but Spanish) asked us to pay the full amount just from the beginning. The amount was greater than the one advertised on www.booking.com. When we entered the room, we haven't received a key to lock our room. After a while the "receptionist" came with several keys and checked to identify the one which matches to our room. Finally (and fortunately) he found one. Inside, another surprise: the room and the bathroom were quite ok, but no soap and shampoo in the bottles dedicated. The access in the building is something like this: whatever you want, to get out or come in you have to ring a bell, and the "receptionist" told us that he will open the main door from the entrance immediately. In the last night, we went in the city to have dinner, the "receptionist" opened the gates, but when we came back at about 09:00 pm, we rang the bell several times , but nobody answered. Our phones was in the hotel, as we were advised not to take them when we go out in the city. So we couldn't call anybody as the reservation was on the phone. As we were supposed to spend the night for which we payed extra charge in the street. Fortunately, someone lent us his phone, fortunately on Google maps someone can find telephone numbers of the location, the person who lent us the phone contacted in Spanish the "receptionist". And the person who let us go three hours later said that he thought that we were inside. I mention once again that you couldn't enter without his help, as you don't have a key. I understand that Columbia tries harder to win a lost reputation, but with such touristic services and without speaking foreign languages, I doubt they will gonna make it.

- Javi (5/5): Passable - The social areas are clean and well-maintained, and the beds are comfortable. The rooms are also clean, and the venue is well-located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. I also appreciated the option for early check-in I experienced excessive noise at night during my stay. Other guests were allowed to yell, slam doors, and talk loudly in the hallways and social areas late into the night. Given the small size of the hotel, allowing this kind of behavior severely disrupts the peace and quiet for other guests. It felt like the comfort of some was prioritized over the well-being of others.

This hotel came to my rescue when let down by another hotel (they cancelled my booking 30 minutes before I arrived!) Having to disturb Juan Pablo whenever I needed to go out of the hotel and come in to the hotel. I know it is all to do with security but left me feeling guilty if I wanted to go out early.
