Watching the stunning starry sky and the fire pits were the highlights of my memories. The BBQ facilities were perfect and well-equipped. I would definitely stay here again if I return! • Anna (9/5): We have stayed twice in a week - great spot with everything you need. - Great use of a shipping container (you forget that is where you are on the inside!) Beautifully presented with everything you need for your stay including a washing machine. Loved the bathroom products and the shower water pressure. Fire pit was great, outdoor space is also well thought out with outdoor lighting and seating for each cabin.

• Susan (10/5): Perfect. Deserves more than 5 stars - The cabin is immaculately and tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, very well-equipped and in a great location. We had intended to drop off our bags and then go off and explore the area but we couldn’t bear to leave. We took a walk each way along the old railtrack, which lies at the bottom of the garden, and watched the wildlife and birds from the patio. We did our laundry and cooked a meal, watched a bit of television, slept in a very comfortable bed, awoke to great views and stayed put until it was time to check out.

• Sarah-Menai (9/5): - We loved it at Rail Trail Retreat and only wish we could have stayed here longer to really experience the well-appointed tiny property and the surrounding landscape. Rail Trail Retreat is an extremely well-considered and designed container property with it's own outdoor facilities and communal space. Set close to the rail trail, this property has everything you know you need and everything you hadn't considered, a sort of home from home! Spotlessly clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious feeling, this little space is cosy and practical for short or long stays, for those just wanting a bit of peace or those seeking to enjoy a spot of sporty adventuring! Information about local activities such as biking tracks, walks and where to eat is offered at the property, however, the self-catering facilities here are both indoor and outdoor so it really is tailored to suit all sorts of breaks!...there are even condiments here! Information at the property also suggests that it's possible to spot local wildlife from the property, but unfortunately, we were on a flying visit and therefore didn't get the opportunity. Our only regret is that we only booked for one night! Next time we stay, it'll definitely be for longer. We really want to explore the area and really get a feel for how well-organised this property is too. Its even got it's own washing machine and outdoor drying facilities, so no need to worry about muddy walks and bike scrambling making you mucky! The sparkling-clean bathroom here is great too! Fab shower and lovely, quality towels! Staying here really encouraged us to consider how we work towards downsizing and streamlining how we live! A fab and thoughtful host, thank you! We can't wait to be back! I'm trying desperately to think if there was anything we noticed.....hmm....not really. Maybe just a little advice for those staying here, we recommend putting the internal blinds down during the day, to help keep it cool....although there is also aircon.

• Richard (9/5): - Nice modern accommodation in a converted shipping container. Perfect for my working visit to the area, but even better if you're on holiday. No breakfast included but Mandy recommended Mulberry Lane, a nice cafe nearby.

Hot water immediate. Amazing use of space. A very pleasant surprise! Could use a few cushions on couch to make it more comfortable.

• Stephanie (10/5): Perfect spot to stay. - Such a great little spot to spend the night! Everything was really well thought out and the cabin had everything that we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the walk along the rail trail in the morning and the serenity of being out in nature. Such a shame that it was raining all night and day during our stay, because the fire pit would have been wonderful to roast some marshmallows on! Our toddler loved being able to explore nature. Definitely recommend Rail Trail Retreat to everyone passing through. Nothing!

• Michael (9/5): Perfect location in a wonderful fully fitted container with everything two people would need. - Wonderful location but you absolutely have to have a vehicle to stay here. The facilities are great and the scenery is wonderful. The bed is a bit too firm for us (a memory foam overlay would help) and it was a bit too small for two restless people, but for two nights, we coped reasonably well.

• Scott (9/5): Well-appointed container accommodation. - The firepit and BBQ were great. Everything inside the accommodation was clean and new. I would have given a rating of 10, except for the water pump turning on and off during the night, which was a problem as I was a light sleeper.
