• Mayssa (7/5): - War kein Buffet , Essen muss man warten auf die Frauen die da für jeder Frühstück vorbereitet . Frühstück für mich war klar nicht was besonders . Ich hatte zimmer für 3 Personen mit Balkon war bisschen klein aber das Balkon war schön , Lage fürs Hotel ist sehr central viele laden am Straße und viele Restaurant . Und nicht weit von Nill . In der Toilette steht Wasser auf dem Boden und der Duschbereich ist schwach und nicht vollständig geschlossen, sodass Wasser aus ihm auf den Boden läuft.
• KHALID (6/5): - Room was clean and the bathroom is modern. Staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was good. The entrance is hidden in the back inside side street and at night it looked very scary and couldn't find it without contacting the hotel reception, also the elevator is very old like ancient ones and I thought it may not work at any time. The room was very small. And the room didn't match the photos I saw when I picked the room.

• AK (6/5): - Nous avions une réservation et nous devions arriver vers 21h, arrivés à l'hôtel on me dit que ma réservation a été annulée et qu'il n'y a plus de chambres disponibles nous avons du aller dans un autre hotel et revenir le lendemain ... Pas de bouteilles d'eau dans la chambre, le petit déjeuner pour les enfants n'est pas donné sans qu'on le demande en argumentant et pourtant on paye. De plus mauvaise odeur dans la sdb.

• Sara (2/5): - L'hotel è stato difficilissimo da raggiungere, la posizione non era corretta. La stanza non era pulita, c'era solo una saponetta già usata a disposizione. Il giorno dopo siamo tornati a ritirare i bagagli e nessuno ci ha aperto il cancello per un'ora, siamo rimasti fuori in mezzo al nulla bussando ripetutamente al cancello, nessuno era reperibile al telefono.

• José (9/5): Correcto hotel - Muy buen ubicación si deseas estar en una zona con mucha vida del Cairo. El hotel tiene una calidad muy adecuada para su precio, y el desayuno está muy rico. Te atienden perfectamente por whassap. Cuesta un poco de encontrar la entrada, está algo escondida. Para usar el ascensor hace falta una llave especial que nosotros, al menos, no la tuvimos.

• Akwaake (4/5): Disappointing - The female staff at the reception was good We were overcharged with extra N$2000 compared to the price which we were given by booking.com The breakfast was the same everyday, just a brotchen, one egg and kids yogurt. They need to improve. The staff was smoking inside the hotel at the reception.
• Isidoros (7/5): Good - Kind of old rustic building. But the hotel floors are clean inside. It wasn’t top notch but expected and reasonable. Breakfast was horrible.
• Carmen (10/5): A home away from home - From the moment we arrived we felt like we were visiting family. The hotels location was perfect to explore Cairo by foot day or night & as 2 women we felt completely safe. The staff @ the hotel were exceptional and definitely showed us what true Egyptian hospitality was. Everything was perfect was just disappointed that I wasn't told beforehand that there would be a 3% extra charge if I paid with my Visa card.

This hotel is under Police surveillance all the time . Avoid at all cost. Police can come anytime to check tourist passport and interrogate you. Very scary feeling this hotel. All hotel employee are spies for the Police.

You could hardly put your baggages at room and walk around. There was not any table to work with laptop and also the room had only one electric outlet that TV was connected to and there was not any power bar too. You should take the TV from outlet to charge your phone. Overall good place to stay at downtown Cairo The property even did not put water inaide the room. Just a bed to sleep

Close walking distance to many amenities. Booked 3 rooms. A day before check-in, they said only 2 rooms were available and they tried to move us to another hotel. Managed to get an additional bed in one of the rooms. No refund for additional room booked though. A bit difficult to locate building initially. Same limited breakfast menu every day. Street/traffic noise audible even with windows closed. Shower water was cold on some days. Aircon not working properly in some rooms.

This man was extraordinary, very helpful in every aspect. He assisted as and didn't hesitate to give us help when ever we needed. He made sure we got everything we need.. everything we had to know every place we should visit.. he was no doubt the best person we met in Egypt and I would definitely go back to visit it again.

The staff were incredibly sweet and friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was absolutely stunning—spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. We highly recommend Castello Hotel to anyone visiting Cairo. It’s a gem that combines great service, an excellent location, and a cozy ambiance. We can’t wait to come back!

Great location, very clean and efficient breakfast. I love the old French lift. Smallest points: the veneer on the wash basin tap is peeling so I cut my hand. Minor injury but would have preferred not. The shower mat was so chunky that regardless of where I put it, the bathroom door couldn’t close. I was on my own so it didn’t matter but it would have been nice to have been able to close it. Big gap under the door to my room meant I could hear all the comings and goings through the night. These are not complaints but little things that could be rectified to make a stay even better.

Busy business area stuffed with restaurants, bookshops, banks and exchange bureaus, telecom outlets, and other various stores. Room 16: comfy bed, clean, spacious, no street noise, good lighting, sufficient storage, fridge & T.V. Flexibility with check-in and quick check-out. Welcoming and helpful staff. Thanks Mohamed. Please try to have dining area closed when people have meals as it was a bit noisy. As an advice, it would be great to add a small bottle of water and a kettle.
