• Adriana (5/5): Not safe, no communication. difficult check in. - Location. Two of my students (foreigners, young females) got harassed by a security guard. Property did not respond to my message about it and we went to the police. Face recognition did not work most of the time.
• Irene (5/5): Passable - The place is too smart. And I work in tech. There is no physical host and everything is done through an app. To get in, they use some face recognition, that you can activate after 30 min with the assistance on whatsapp. If you want to register more than 1 face, then you need to go through the same process. Water was not working in our apartment, so we had to change other 2 apartments because the code given us was not working for one of them. I find very cumbersome that for any request you need to find an assitant available for you on whatsapp, and this can take up to several minutes, so you need to make sure to have wifi for a long time. Apart from that, all good.
• Aron (5/5): Comfortable rooms and great location - Modern building, comfortable self contained units. Awesome location in the thick of Vila Madelena. There was a power outage due to a storm for 26 hours of our 2 night stay which impacted our experience. No solutions were offered, and no compensation offered due to this impact.
• Adriana (9/5): Superb - Location. Location. Location. It was clean, very comfortable. The second time I stayed there the room wasn't very clean, but the first time it was clean.

• Passos (6/5): Good location but had problems to communicate and report facial recognition issues - Location Communication. I had problem to enter as the facial recognition wasn’t working
• Zanab (7/5): Terrible check in system. Clean, safe, and spacious rooms - Terrible check in system. Even if you speak Portuguese or English, you will have trouble checking in. It’s all through an app that does NOT work. Vitor was very nice, he works there but he couldn’t do much other than wait for chat support. He is very nice and kind and helpful. Property itself is very nice, clean, central location. They just do not have a real person you can speak to. It’s all through an app and they do not respond quickly. If you don’t mind waiting a few hours for an answer then I recommend this place. JUST plan ahead.
• Murillo (8/5): Good, but needs some improvements - The bed is very comfortable, a good market in the building, it's a new apartment and the air conditioner works perfectly. The shower wets all the walls except the people and the wi-fi doesn't work very well, for at least 6 hours a day we were without internet until at the coworking.
• Lionel (10/5): Exceptional - This is my home away from home in São Paolo from now on. The attention of detail was amazing, top spot. Everything was perfect.
• Georgina (8/5): Very good - Very clean and well equipped apartment and we loved the location! We were travelling from the UK and the check in process was very difficult and stressful and there was nobody to contact, it is all automated. We had to get one of our Brazilian friends to call up the help line as we could not call this number. When we finally checked in, every time we entered the property the face recognition never worked which made us not want to go out frequently. Luckily there is a 24hr guard to buzz you in.
• Gesegma (8/5): Very good - Everything is great, clean, safe, the location is good Support responds a bit long, the door opens only by face control, it is a little bit problematic. With 4-5 attempts it was possible to identify the person. I was with a family of 8 people and I had to walk together every time so they could enter through my face. For one or 2-3 people are fine, great apartments, not bad
• Ellagovan (10/5): Exceptional - It was new, clean, super comfortable and extremely well located. It was equipped with everything you need even for a long stay. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of storage space and we were comfortable there to have meals and watch TV and work. The only downside is that the facial ID recognition for you to enter the building is terrible and barely works but the onsite staff were helpful and let us in promptly. They have a doorman 24 hrs so it wasn’t too big of an issue.
• Simon (10/5): - Sehr moderne Unterkunft, passende Beschreibung, saubere Zimmer. Lediglich der gemeinschaftlich nutzbare Raum im Erdgeschoss ist etwas lieblos eingerichtet.
• Karin (10/5): Exceptional - We really loved our stay at Xtay Vila Madelena. The room was clean and comfortable. We really loved the location as it's close to many shops and restaurants and felt safe walking around in the evening. I wasn't able to check in myself using the app but the client service was very helpful and solved everything for us before we arrived. All communication is done in Portuguese which makes sense as we are in Brazil however as an intentional traveller it would be helpful to have the most important information available in English as well.

• Richard (3/5): Checking in is an awful experience. Otherwise ok. - Good location. Very clean and comfortable. The check in was terrible. Just the most annoying and frustrating system I have ever come across when trying to stay somewhere. Took over an hour after arrival to get into the room. There is a complicated online system and if you haven’t signed up to Xtay before it takes ages and is very frustrating. Communication with xtay was ok but too ages for each reply until finally they helped when we couldn’t get in. If it wasn’t for the terrible, terrible check in system, I would give it a 7 or 8.
