Guest Reviews
- Peter (10/5): -
- Lewer (8/5): Lovely getaway... - Location and surrounds were lovely...nice country feel.
Tidy little unit with everything we needed đ. It can be subjective, but we found the bed too soft with 'roll together'.
- Graham (10/5): An excellent property with excellent host. What more could one say. - Pretty much everything. Host was very accomodating and helpful. Unit was well set out and very comfortable. Set in a rural location with the morning being greeted by birdsong. Fresh eggs for breakfast supplied by the host. Very comfy mattress which is not so common in most places. If forced to add something here the only drawback some people may find is the distance from town. This definitely was not an issue for us. Only a short drive to everything. This was not a dislike from us.
- Natalie (10/5): -
- Andreas (9/5): Ruhig, ideal fĂŒr Ruhesuchende. - Ruhig, weg vom Ortskern, auf dem Land. Eier der freilaufenden HĂŒhner beim Einzug bereitgestellt. Gut ausgestattete KĂŒche mit Grundnahrungsmitteln (Kaffee, Tee, Salz, Ăl, Essig, GewĂŒrz etc.)
Waschmaschine und GeschirrspĂŒler. Etwas weiche Betten. Gedeckter Aussenbereich wird von den HĂŒhnern auch als Toilette benutzt đ aufpassen, wo man hintritt. Ist halt Natur pur.
- John (10/5): -
- Frances (8/5): Peaceful, pleasant surroundings with discreet and helpful hosts. - Very peaceful, quiet location. A lot of trouble taken with aesthetics of cottage. I used my own water - although the bore water was filtered and drinkable, I preferred the filtered rainwater brought from home.
- Laura (9/5): Great, quiet spot - Cottage was very comfortable, very quiet. Nice fresh eggs and had all facilities we needed. Travelled with 2 dogs but had to go into town to use off leash Park. Would have been great to have an enclosed area for dogs to run around in.
- Sri Prasad (10/5): Excellent - quiet and comfortable - It was very clean and comfortable. Also close to the city centre while being quiet through the night. I think the fuse for some electric circuit went out and hot water didnât work for a bit but it sorted out after a while.
- Pieter (9/5): Neat, clean and well equipped accommodation, just out of town in a beautiful setting, with very friendly and helpful hos - Neat, clean and well equipped accommodation, just out of town in a beautiful setting, with very friendly and helpful host. It didnât have a BBQ. Would have been nice to be able to have a BBQ for dinner especially in this nice setting - otherwise really good.
- Steven (9/5): - "We enjoyed the fresh eggs each day. Property was quiet and peaceful, very comfortable and very well insulated on hot days, yet close to Dubbo city (and zoo) to be convenient. The hosts made us feel very welcome, and immediately attended to any issues we had. Lovely rural scenery. We would book the property again if we go back to Dubbo."
Score: 9.5 out of 10
- Anthony (10/5): Lovely stay in a very well equipped apartment. - The apartment is very well equipped, had everything we needed, and the host was very helpful and friendly. We even got free range eggs from their chicken on arrival which was a nice surprise.
- Debbie (10/5): Fantastic stay - I love the privacy and the cosiness of the cottage. Everything well thought out and information readily available. Would highly recommend đđ»
- Willem (10/5): -
- McKenzie (8/5): Lovely location. - The country outlook and quiet. Fresh eggs from the chooks. The bed was too soft and sunk in towards the middle with two people in it.
- Beth (10/5): - It was a beautiful setting - loved the fresh eggs. Being short, I couldn't reach the crockery but my tall husband could
- Billie (6/5): -
- Marlene (8/5): - It was cosy and warm. There was no access to wifi. The password did not work and staff were not available when we rang them.
- Tracey (8/5): I would definitely book again. - A lovely cottage just out of Dubbo. It was in easy reach of everywhere I wanted to go. The hosts had given a lot of thought to their guests comfort, and I loved the Canadian theme. It was a bit cold to use the outdoor space but it was really well designed.
- Marchbank (8/5): - A very well set up and relaxing venue, far enough out of town to escape the hustle and bustle, but not too far to drive in. Maple Leaf Cottage is full of charming touches reminiscent of Canada, one of our favourite overseas locations, and Lorraine is the perfect host - there if needed, but not obtrusive.
Fresh eggs for breakfast were a nice bonus, thank you. Would be good perhaps to have a fenced outdoor area for the doggy visitors, although our pups are used to walking on the lead.
- Emily (10/5): Happy couple from Brisbane - Lorraine and Simon were very friendly and welcoming. The fresh free range chicken eggs were the best we've ever had. The room is an extremely comfortable homely and modern space, very well thought out. The supplies provided were a god send which you often do not receive in other accommodation.
The Outlook is lovely and the seating area outside is great although a little cold for us to use this time.
We will definitely be back to stay here and highly recommend anyone else to stay at maple leaf. We struggled a little bit with wifi quality.
This however is not a major game changer for us
- Kevin (10/5): I will definitely stay here next time we visit Dubbo, the hosts were really friendly, amazing and easy to talk to. The p - How cozy it was, it was very spacious and comfy
- Clint (8/5): Very good -
- Sandy (9/5): Lovely quiet location for a very well appointed and comfortable little cottage. - Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Nice touch to have farm fresh eggs available on arrival. Felt very secluded and relaxing.
- Kylie (9/5): Fantastic countryside stay. - Fabulous location just outside of town. Love the country feel. The sunrise and sunset were gorguss. Absolutely nothing i didnt like.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Ashleigh (9/5): Superb - Perfect location and facilities. They went above and beyond for me and my son.. brought fresh eggs in the morning and were very accommodating
- Maree (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cwickser (10/5): Country setting - Quiet cottage surrounded by fields with cattle and wallabies. Cicadas filled the air with their chatter. All good!
- Carolien (8/5): A successful business trip combined with some great sightseeing. - Host was very friendly, cottage was clean and location was perfect for our needs. The bed was saggy, too soft and very creaky.
- Gone (9/5): Perfect for our quick Dubbo visit. - The verandah and the morning birdsong; the hens clucking at our feet.
And of course our friendly hostess Lorraine and all of her Canadian paraphernalia.
- Darren (10/5): Excellent - very tidy, lots of nice touches, very quiet. Location is fine with your own wheels. -
- David (7/5): Great location right near the central west cycle trail but bring breakfast and dinner with you. - The washing machine was useful for washing our cycle gear. The Canada theme was cute. I like a morning coffee and there wasn't any. The owner was away so not able to obtain any. But very responsive to any of my other communication.
- Edward (9/5): Enjoyed the peace and quiet and no traffic noises - Air BNB, amenities and cleanliness first rate. The shower floor could use a non slip mat or similar, a bit smooth and slippery for older folks.
- Norm (9/5): Easy comms, very friendly & unobtrusive managers. Super comfortable and lacking nothing. Highly recommended! - Comfortable, super clean, highly featured with all the amenities you could ask for, and well stocked with âforgottenâ items like toothbrushes, etc.
There were even fresh eggs from the free range chickens who were wandering around :o) The only small issue we had was really out of the control of the owners⊠the wet weather made the driveway a little messy, though theyâd made an super effort to minimise the problem by bringing in gravel. Much appreciated!
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - The room was clean and well appointed with enough kitchen facilities to cook small meals. It was difficult to watch TV from the lounge.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Campbell (10/5): Exceptional - Peace and quiet, privacy. Felt just like home.
Not too far from town and river
- Alanna (9/5): Superb -
- Henryk (9/5): I f we come back to Dubbo or are passing through will be happy tp stay here again - there was no breakfast in the price, the place is quite and close to town they could nave a torch as we did have a power outage for about 1 hour due to very windy weather, the rest is all good
- Anonymous (9/5): Nice quiet place - Quiet location Mosquitoes
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - Beautiful touches with fresh flowers for our anniversary! Very comfy bed - more spacious than the pictures show! Pristine kitchen, big fridge, nice touches, quiet location - very pretty! Highly recommended for sure. N/A
- Brad (7/5): Nice location but not worth the money - Great location Cornice not finished off, outside dog yard not mowed and no water source. Left early 5.30am last day and no hot water!! Not sure what happened but very poor considering how much you pay to stay
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gemma (5/5): Passable - Location was a little further out of CBD than expected
The run for our dog was totally inadequate as it would have escaped
Bed was not comfy enough and we were never sure if we were drinking bore water or tank water!!
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Excellent - Every thing was spot on. Highly recommend
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kath (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dresden (9/5): Superb - Clean and confortable
- T.a.r.d.i.s (5/5): Almost good - The accommodation was as described. It was newly furnished and equiped. The kitchen.had mostly everything and there was a clothes washer and drier. The position of the accommodation relative to the owners house was to a degree private enough The room did smell because there was a mouse darting around the kitchen. The cupboard doors were put on wrongly so you couldn't open the drawers. There were so many cushions and pillows we needed to pile them out of the way. But mainly there was no shade provided to block put the blistering summer sun once it dipped below the roof of the verandah. So the intense heat accompanied by mosquitoes meant we had limited enjoyment of the verandah. There was also no BBQ provided.
- Michele (10/5): 11/10 Loved the rural setting, sunsets and the beautiful space. Brilliant - cosy yet spacious, well equipped, tastefully decorated
- Gavin (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (9/5): Tranquil pet friendly farm stay just 10min from town. - Cute studio cottage in a rural setting within 10min of town. Pet friendly yet very clean. Full cooking facilities. Also great if you like stargazing - bring you telescope! Nothing not to like.
- Kalah (10/5): amazing stay, 100% recommend. lovely place and owners. - owners were lovely. property was clean and gorgeous.
thank you for an amazing stay. it was perfect nothing I didnât like.
