- Mido (9/5): - Tres agreable sejour.
Nada a reclamar.

- mayar (7/5): Very good experience for me - Very good experience to the ones who hate city noisy and like quite places , very safe to move around the island , you can move very late around the village and no issues , limited in markets so better to get your staff from the city . Air is fresh and make sure that you will need to move through boats to move to the other side of the city.
Staff is very helpful , and assist me alot I stayed 4 nights , 5 days breakfast always the same limited in varieties.
Kitchen need more cleaning , tv isn’t working

- Barrat (10/5): Excellent !
- Naman (8/5): - Our guide mohmmad was amazing he helped us in so many ways. We were expecting few more people but instead just two of us were there for 2 days.
- Camille (10/5): Top - L’accueil, les chambres Le petit déjeuner
- Luca (10/5): - Definitely recommend to stay on the island and particularly on the eastern side. It's much quieter. Staff was so nice and picked us up at the KFC meeting point with the boat and gave us a lift to the railway station pier when we left. The felucca ride with Muhammad was incredibly nice although we didn't have wind. It allowed us to learn more around the Nubian culture. The island and its people were definitely a highlight of the trip. The room was really spacious, the bathroom was clean, the Place was quite and safe. Good dinner (extra) too (fish tagine). Breakfast was one of the best in Egypt. We did the tour to Abu Simbel and It was priced ok and they gave us breakfast to go!
Always communicate with staff in case you need the ferry to go to mainland between 00am and 6am! No vegetarian option for dinner but you can do take away from other places on the other side of the island

- Evelin (10/5): Amazing - Gasser is definitely one of the best hosts I’ve encountered on my journey, he’s very organized and knowledgeable of any inquiry you might have, the place is very clean, with all necessary amenities, with mini fridge which is highly appreciated, and totally clean
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional - The Stor y
- Waleed (9/5): Superb -
- Bruno (10/5): Perfect and Amazing! :) - Even tho I only spent 1 night here, they made sure that I had the best time possible and really, really helped me a lot! :)
For a start, 1 day before they communicated through WhatsApp for a more direct contact, I had a late flight and it was important to know and what exact time I would arrive so they would have someone waiting for me to take the quick ferry trip to Elephant Insland where the Guest House is located, my flight ended up having a 4h delay, but they stayed always available awaiting for an update from me. Once I arrived, the young Youssef was waiting for me at the pier, from there we took the ferry and he drove what was a quick trip to the Guest House through the Nile River, a very nice ride actually since it was night time and we could see all the lights on from Aswan. Once we arrived at the guest house I was even greeted with a welcome drink (juice), and checked-in in a very spacious, clean and nice room. :)
I had also booked the Abu Simbel tour with them, so I was instructed to be at the lobby by 3.45am so the staff could take me back by ferry to the pier, where a van would be waiting at 4am to start the tour, and everything went perfectly smooth and on time, they even had a breakfast box waiting for me before we departed. The tour is a 3h ride to Abu Simbel, then we spent 2h exploring the temples, coming back to the guest house afterwards. Since I was staying only 1 night and was later catching a bus to Luxor, they let me keep my bag in the Guest House during the tour, and when we came back they even arranged for the bag to be delivered to me at the pier by their staff once I arrived back, so I would not have to cross the river on purpose again! Their service and kindness was really amazing and made my trip very comfortable and stress free. :)
- Gary (8/5): Very good -

We really enjoyed our visit in this beautiful accommodation, and would highly recommend anyone to stay here during their stay in Aswan. Very kind people who looked after us well giving us great advice and tips during our visit. Nothing it was perfect.

- Federica (9/5): Superb -
- Abdulraheem (10/5): Amazing guest house - Everything, the place is clean and the team is great, they gave us an early check in, and welcomed us with a smile and fresh juice, Mohamed was helpful and helped us to get a car at a good price for the airport, and they let us modify our breakfast. Thank you samara.
- Rahena (5/5): Passable - We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights
Staff got us breakfast boxes ready as we had early trips booked
The room size was ok. Location was not what we expected quite hard to find as it was a village. You have to take a boat to cross over local ferry
There Alot of animal noises at night
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional - Elephantine island is a great place to stay, much more quiet than Aswan and with a beautiful landscape. The staff of Samara was exceptional, helpful and warm
- Salma (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at the hotel on Elephantine Island in Aswan was absolutely wonderful! The staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed delicious meals throughout our stay and felt completely safe at all times.
One of the highlights was the unique experience of reaching the hotel by boat, crossing the Nile – such a special touch that added to the charm of our trip.
A big thank you to the entire team for their hospitality and for making our stay so memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Aswan!
- Jason (10/5): Great place to stay - Very friendly and hospitable staff! Made it feel like home very quickly. The breakfast was big, enough to keep me full for the day. They even gave me a packed lunch when I went on my morning tour. WiFi was really strong and available everywhere. Room was really clean and had everything I needed, like shampoo soap, hairdryer, towels, water, kettle, coffee etc. It was a little bit difficult to find, maybe they can put it on Google Maps or have a sign in the alleyways
- Blackwell (10/5): Wonderful - Wonderful food, fantastic staff!
- Kamonwan (10/5): Exceptional - All of stuff were so kindness. Clean and Comfortable. free ferry boat for check in and check out. Nothing, everything's good.
- Prabha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jennifer (10/5): Great Stay and Nice Design Guest House! - We had one night stay at Samara Guest House. The breakfast was delicious and hot. The room was nice and clean!
We had a private boat to pick up us with captain Eslam and captain Ali brought us to swimming after we checked out.
Nice Arts and Great Team. Good Stay! The air conditioner was strong in the night, it was direct to the bed.
We tried to adjust it, but it was not enough choice to change the direction!
- Monika (10/5): Visit to Aswan - Very friendly and helpful staff. Rich Nubian breakfast. The evening meal was also very tasty. Various dishes to choose from on the menu. The guesthouse has only been there for a few months and offers a free check-in and check-out shuttle by boat to the mainland. There is a beautiful roof terrace with a view of the Nile. The rooms have a hairdryer, kettle, tea, coffee, air conditioning and fan as well as a refrigerator. Tours can also be booked. It invites you to relax - wonderfully quiet!!!
The ferry dock is a 5-minute walk away. There are a few restaurants on the island. The Nubian village is 15 minutes away by boat.
If you arrive by train, it is about an 8-minute walk to the Docs.
- Bassem (10/5): Friendly and warm staff, clean place, big breakfast - The staff was very friendly, warm, and accommodating.
The place was very clean and the finishing of the place is excellent.
The breakfast was good and very filling. The molasses with feteer was tasty.
You are situated right in the village on Elephantine island. The surroundings are very rural and might be a bit difficult to manage for elderly.
Still, that may be expected given the authentic location in the village.
- Heste (10/5): Five Star treatment on Elephantine Island - Words cannot express how much I enjoyed my stay at Samara guest house! Elephantine Island has been the best place to stay in the whole of Egypt. Samara guest house is newly built and squeaky clean. I was fetched by private boat from the train. My suitcase was carried for me to where the guest house is situated between small working plots, with only the sound of sheep, goats and the occasional cat. There are beautiful views from the rooftop terrace. Breakfast is delicious and huge. They have a menu with more huge, absolutely delicious meals. It's a 3 minute walk across to the public ferry which costs only 10 EGP. The staff are totally amazing and as a woman travelling on my own I was treated like a fragile ball of cotton. I booked 4 nights and stayed 6 and have since become part of the family. I haven't been able to find any fault.
- Mohamed (10/5): It was definitely something worth experiencing again. - It was a great experience, they took me from Aswan City to the guesthouse by their private boat, and the breakfast was something great to start your day with, besides Mr. Gasser helped me to know more about the Elephantine Island where the guesthouse is located, and he provides some city tours if you want like I went to Abu Simbel temple. Nothing to mention.
