- Mark (10/5): A beautiful & relaxing place to stay. - Excellent breakfast provisions provided - thanks! Nothing at all,!
- Dave (10/5): Amazing place to stay, a showcase of the beautiful Huon Valley. - Beautiful grounds and trees, sitting areas outside with views of the valley and river. The cottage was amazing with everything you need. Granola, sourdough loaf and apple cake was delicious! Nothing to report here.
- Ann-Maree (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay, great spot for us - Property was cute and had a lovely decor I couldn't get the fold out bed/couch back in, so one of use had to sit on dinning chair while watching TV etc
- Alison (10/5): Quaint cottage - Very comfortable and homely. Beautiful surroundings N/a

- Richard (9/5): Lovely. It would have been nice to stay longer - Breakfast was a bonus. Good location for what we wanted to do in the area. Nothing.
- hangglider (10/5): Peaceful, quiet and delightful - could not have enjoyed it more - When we arrived, the cottage was warm and inviting. The main room was cosy and warm even though it was quite cold outside. We loved the warm, complimentary home baked loaf of bread that was waiting for us as well as the chocolate bars and the pod coffee machine with complimentary pods. The entire cottage is in immaculate condition and all appliances, cutlery, plates, etc seem like new. The main bedroom is very spacious and the bed is super comfortable. The sofa bed is also really comfortable. The shower is great as well. We really loved staying here and enjoyed the rural outlook as well as watching a kookaburra feeding not far from the cottage in the morning before we left. Nothing
- Guy (10/5): A gorgeous property, quiet and comfortable. Would not hesitate to stay again 10/10 - Very comfortable bed, spotless on arrival, beautiful gardens.
High end appliances and tasteful furnishings and decor suited to the cottage
Prompt responses to any questions/ messages.
Concise and helpful instructions regarding arrival and accessing the property A little cold on arrival, but quickly warmed with the heating
Perhaps a small secure outdoor area, as the property is “ pet friendly “

The cottage is charming as per the photos but the gardens were a surprise and I couldn't stop taking photos of the amazing trees and benches, gates, spendid roses, water in the distance - I could go on and on. Castle Forbes is a small locality but very scenic, close to beautiful little towns like Franklin, Geeveston and Dover, all of which we visited and all equally pretty. Huonville is the main centre and there is everything you need there and more. Lovely local cafes, the picturesque Huon River and supermarkets. We were very glad we included this area on out trip to Tasmania. N/A

Gerry was a wonderful and generous host, we arrived to a beautiful loaf of freshly made sourdough and she was kind enough to do some washing for us as the lean to laundry had been damaged in recent weather. We had the added bonus of meeting Gerry’s beautiful dogs and playing with them out in the sunshine, which is a small thing really but made for a lovely relaxing and fun morning before we headed off to our next location. Cannot fault anything about our stay here :) Can’t fault a thing!

The location is stunning, with views over the apple orchards, while the cabin is surrounded by grass and trees with a gorgeous courtyard out the back. Gerry, the host, has thought of everything one could want for a comfortable stay. There are many kitchen appliances, comfy sofas, nice shampoos in the shower, and soft, luxurious bedding. We also asked for a difficult breakfast (vegan/gluten free) and were provided with gluten free bread, vegan butter and cereal. Apples were left in the fridge to feed to the cows on the property, one of them a shaggy highland who ate out of our hands. We also ate one of the apples ourselves and it was delicious. Daffodils and camelias were left in vases around the place. Loved the whole experience🙏 Nothing, all was great.
