Guest Reviews
- Therese (5/5): Great location, responsive host, but not good value for money for us - The location was fantastic, view of the ocean from the front was lovely. Also pretty cool to have a stay in an original 70's house. House was clean, the owner was very responsive too. This was a very expensive stay for us at just over $650 for one night. We know that one night stays are often more pricey when you factor in cleaning fees and booking fees, but it still seemed very overpriced given the state of the house (some fans and doors were out of action, so security screens, no aircon, no dishwasher etc). If the price was around $350 I'd be raving about it as the location was so nice, but because of the price our expectations were high - I guess we were expecting things like good facilities, everything working, nice backyard, welcome basket, good toiletries etc that we've had at other places.

- Richard (3/5): We will not use the property again and recommend it is not of value and suggest a refund - The beach and view was nice There were cockroaches and mice droppings in the house
The key code was not provided till after 6pm
There was no air conditioning, just a small portable evaporative cooler
The owner seemed to be stalking the guests and was rude
After cancelling a work commitment and unable to get a refund, I provide the property to a staff member who took her two teenage children and a friend of her daughter. The owner accused her of having a party.
Because she was uncomfortable staying there, she left on Saturday morning

- Kate (7/5): Good for a quick over nighter - Good location on the beach Need new pillows, they were all very flat.
- Kylie (9/5): A wonderful house to stay in and enjoy Mandurah with my family - thank you! - Perfect location, right across from lovely beaches for walking and exploring rockpools, a path popular for running and cycling, and within easy drive to shops, the foreshore and other destinations. Huge TV for relaxing after days in the water.
- Siti Raihana (8/5): Coastal house along Mandurah coast - The place was easy to get to, along the Mandurah coast. The beach is just in front. Because the winds were very strong that weekend, the windows were rattling throughout the night. There was only 2 heaters in the house available, so it was quite cold.
- Amit (10/5): - Beautiful views. House has all amenities required. Good sized beds and very comfortable Heating could have been better
- Naomi (7/5): Enjoyable stay with friends in a spacious old house opposite the beach. - Location across from the beach. Spacious. Dining chairs covered with plastic making them hot and sticky in warm weather. No air conditioning. No fly screen on front sliding door that also doesn't slide easily. Beds a bit firm for us. No top sheet, just a doona so too hot for sleeping comfortably all night. No sugar, pepper or milk supplied for drink on arrival. Overall feel although pleasant aesthetically it is a bit outdated. Kitchen cupboards were not well aligned so they don't close well & drawers were sticky to pull in & out.
- Poppy (9/5): Superb - Everything you would expect for a beach house is a very open layout and very easy to get to .
It's a lovely house, and the owner is very nice and responsive. House gets quiet warm, but the portable aircon, and when the sea breezes come, it's help. I would suggest a fly screen so you can enjoy the sea breeze without worrying bout bugs.
- Anil (7/5): Good -
- Kylie (7/5): A cute and comfy house perfect for a beach stay but missing some of the creature comforts - The property is in a perfect location straight across the road from the beach. It has a gorgeous rustic beach shack vibe and the house still holds the original charm and personality from the days when it was built. A lovely verandah and views from the kitchen, and the ocean can be heard from the front main bedroom which is beautiful when you are going to sleep at night The property is very warm despite the sea breeze coming in through the windows. A lot of the doors were unable to be opened for some reason which may have helped to let the air through the house. The beds didn't have top sheets so it was either under the doona or just lying on top of the bed. It would be lovely to have some hanging chairs in the verandah area to be able to enjoy the view and the sunset. A BBQ would have been great as well!
- Pummy (9/5): Superb - Loved the proximity to the beach and the views. Loved the rooms, the kitchen, the backyard and the front place There was no TV connection and maybe the living room furniture could be a little cleaner.
- Sharon (9/5): A great 70s beach house in an excellent location. - Excellent beachfront location which lives up to its name- the sunset was spectacular. Only stayed for one night and didn’t use the kitchen/facilities so can’t comment on those but the house was clean and the beds were comfortable. Communication from the host was excellent and access was easy. Fans were fine for the one night we were there but may need air conditioning for longer stays.
