• Céline (8/5): - Séjourner au Kana Kato a été pour nous un très bon moment : situé sur l'île Eléphantine, l'hôtel est au calme (ce qui fait un bien fou en Egypte), le personnel est plus que sympathique et aux petits soins, les chambres sont propres, il y a de l'eau chaude sous la douche et une fenêtre dans la chambre, c'était très agréable ! L'hôtel s'est occupé de nous réserver une excursion dans les villages nubiens en bateau pour un très bon prix. Cet hôtel nous avait été conseillé, et nous le conseillerons à notre tour

• Greg (10/5): Elephantine Island hideaway - This hotel is simple, clean and elegant. The location was fantastic, no annoying bazaar selling, the Nubian people are friendly and welcoming. Staff organized boat trips and felucca, hassle free and reasonable prices. The food is wholesome and healthy and very filling. I can't recommend it enough for a relaxing visit to Aswan.

I wish I had just booked everything through the hotel instead of using greedy, bossy and over priced travel agencies. The hotel and arrange everything for you.

• Amandine (10/5): Une pépite à découvrir - Ca fait 26 fois que je viens en Egypte, j'avoue que cet hôtel a été une vraie agréable surprise ! Ayant expérimenté des hôtels avec des photos et commentaires bidons sur Booking, je ne savais pas trop à quoi m'attendre. Les commentaires enthousiastes reflètent les lieux. Super accueil, équipe très sympathique, désireuse de nous accueillir au mieux et de nous faciliter la vie (notamment pour les transports et activités annexes), dîner succulent et petit-déjeuner copieux qui l'était tout autant (et ça, clairement, ce n'est pas le point fort des hôtels égyptiens en général) Un seul point : le fait qu'il n'y ait pas de pommeau de douche, ce qui fait qu'on se mouille obligatoirement les cheveux, ce qui n'est pas top quand on ne souhaite pas se laver la tête.
• Claverie (8/5): Un bon moment au calme - L’emplacement était super sur l’île éléphantine, loin du centre mais du coup au calme. Ca convient bien à l’atmosphère d’assouan. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner est succulent et le pigeon farci du restaurant est un véritable délice. Le lieu est très propre, malgré les quelques petites bêtes dans la chambre, ça allait globalement, ca reste un hôtel près de la nature. Les visites réservées n’étaient pas clair. Il était attendu que le son et lumière d’abou simbel soit inclus, ce n’est finalement pas le cas. C’était mal expliqué. Mais à part ça les visites son super, surtout celles faites avec le guide Mustapha et Walid. Les ballades en fellouque sont d’une bonne qualité et la voiture pour le voyage était confortable. Le chauffeur Omar conduisait également prudemment. Je recommande, il faudrait juste bien clarifier les choses avant pour éviter les mauvaises surprises.

• Yumi (7/5): Hotel ok, mas preferiria não ter me hospedado na ilha Elefantine - Café da manhã foi o ponto alto! Muito saboroso e bem feito. Quarto era confortável, banheiro e instalações satisfatórias. Quando precisamos sair para os passeios antes do horário do café da manhã, eles prepararam um lunch box para comermos no caminho, o que foi bastante atencioso. Como o hotel fica numa ilha, isso torna a logística um pouco complexa. Eu precisava ir para o centro 5 da manhã pro passeio de Abu Simbel e combinei com o hotel de nos levarem no horário para o outro lado. Esse era o único meio de transporte possível, já que os ferries públicos começam depois (umas 7h da manhã acho). De madrugada, quando chegamos pra pegar o barco, ninguém do hotel apareceu. Ficamos esperando, até que pedi a um local que apareceu casualmente de nos dar uma carona pro outro lado. Por sorte, deu tudo certo, mas se dependesse do hotel, teria perdido o principal passeio de Aswan. O serviço no restaurante também é demorado e o staff parece ainda estar aprendendo a gerir um hotel, então isso compromete um pouco a estadia. Além disso, não há comércios próximo ao hotel, então se precisar comprar algo pra comer ou água, fica difícil.

• Danyang (3/5): I would not recommend staying here unless you have no other choice. - The only positive things I can say about this hotel are that the price is low and the location is decent. • Noise Issues: There is zero soundproofing. My room was directly below the restaurant, and I had to endure loud music and the sound of chairs scraping the floor until after midnight. Sleeping was impossible. • External Environment: My window looked out onto a cow and sheep pen. The animals were noisy, and the smell was so bad that I couldn't open the window for fresh air. • Room Quality: The room felt very damp. To make matters worse, the AC emitted a foul odor when turned on, and the room was filled with an overpowering electronic incense scent, likely trying to mask the bad smells.

• Lori (10/5): A short stay - We only stayed here one night but would have liked to stay longer. The owners and staff were very friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. I had a room with a balcony that overlooked the Nile. It was great to sit on the deck and watch the comings and going of the local people. This hotel also has a restaurant with a large variety of items on the menu. The included breakfast was wonderful as well as plentiful. They have a shuttle boat to take you to and from the hotel (no charge for arrival and departure, not sure of the price for other transfers) that is easy to arrange. Although the hotel is not a 5 star, for the price you would be hard pressed to find better value for your money. I would stay here again for sue. Nothing.

• Christine (8/5): A good place to see the Nubian culture. - The hotel is on an island, they picked us up and brought us back on their boat, there is also a ferry. Residents appear to be primarily Nubian and it was interesting. The house next to the hotel has animals in a shed, there are no roads, paths meander. We ate at the hotel, the food was good. We have only good things to say about the staff. Not all spoke English but all were helpful and went out of their way to assist us. They arranged a Felucia tour with a stop at a garden that was great. The two young men who took us out were residents of the Island and gave us a good view of their lives. We toured the ruins on the Island. Communication with our taxi drivers was difficult but the hotel assisted and worked it out. First, this hotel is reasonably priced but you get what you pay for. The facilities are very limited. The bed was not very comfortable, the shower in the bathroom had no enclosure - water everywhere. Furniture was limited. The Island had a lot of trash laying around (not unusual in Egypt). There was little light on the paths at night so we didn't feel safe walking after dark. On the other hand it was interesting to visit and the people were very friendly and helpful. Overall we would recommend it as long as you are OK with the minimal level of the facilities.
• Thomas (10/5): Très bon séjour à Assouan - L'hôtel a organisé notre transfert complet malgré notre arrivée à minuit. On nous a offert des bouteilles d'eau dans notre chambre le premier jour et on a pu en acheter à l'hôtel après pour un prix raisonnable. Le petit déjeuner était très copieux avec beaucoup de choix et de mets cuits. Le personnel était très agréable et nous a toujours aidé, notamment pour les transports vers la rive opposée et pour organiser des visites. L'endroit est très propre, nous avons toujours eu de l'eau chaude pour la douche et on a une vue magnifique depuis la terrasse. L'île éléphantine est un bout de campagne en face de la ville donc attendez-vous à voir des animaux et des champs autour de l'hôtel :) Rien

Nous avons organisé avec l'hôtel un transport privé pour 15 membres de notre groupe pour Abu Simbel qui s'est déroulé dans de très bonnes conditions à un tarif tout à fait acceptable.

Servizio di andata e ritorno con la barca dal molo KFC La camera per 4 era un po' troppo spartana, senza punti di appoggio per valigie, anche il bagno senza punti si appoggio e soprattutto la doccia senza tenda ha allagato tutto il pavimento. • SongLiu (10/5): Nice Stay - 民宿虽然在象岛上但是交通方便，入住退房会提供免费KFC码头接送船服务，房间舒适阳台景观也很棒！民宿在菲莱神庙有自己的船，往返阿布辛贝的包车司机和车况也都很不错，找老板订行程可能不是最低价，但是胜在省心和体验好，我们觉得可以接受，推荐给有需要的朋友。 浴室不是干湿分离，而且热水器储热不足，洗头的话洗一半就冷了，好在埃及不算冷凑合洗完，不过象岛上都是这样也可以理解。

• Diyang (10/5): Perfect! - Very amazing trip in Aswan. The people there are friendly and kind. The view is also beautiful. It’s near the Nile River. A little bit noisy at night.

The hotel is on the other side of the main city divided by river Nile but there’s frequent boat service to cross the river. On the island looking back at the main town but an easy ferry ride back. Very friendly staff and the restaurant has particularly good food. A real find if you want a more modest hotel with character. Arranged a couple of boat trips through the hotel which worked very well. Be aware the bathroom is a bit of a wet room but perfectly manageable. The pathways on the island are unpaved and dusty but lots of character.

Lack of table and chair in the room. Indoor noise due to doors closing, annoying when customers are leaving very early.

• Laura (9/5): Ospitalità nubiana nella tranquillità dell’isola elefantina - La colazione nubiana è fantastica! Il ristorante anche, sia come qualità del cibo sia come ambiente e come frequentazione. L’ospitalità nubiana ci ha fatto sentire veramente a casa! Unico punto debole il bagno: pulito ma con la doccia non isolata e al centro.

• Danyang (10/5): - 酒店的地点处在尼罗河中的小岛上，会安排往来接送的渡船，楼下的餐厅可以一边欣赏河景一边用餐，味道也很好。老板和员工都非常热情友好，我和我的朋友想要逛一下本地的市集，老板很热心地陪同，并介绍了本地的文化。我们也在这里订了前往阿布辛贝的包车旅行，以及前往卢克索的包车。体验非常好，超出预期！

• Michelle (9/5): - We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are fabulous. Food is exceptional and really good portions. Great location, we enjoyed spending time on the balcony watching the boats and feluccas. Easy to access, the ferry is cheap and quick. We never had to wait for it to arrive. We enjoyed walking around the Island, the locals are friendly and welcoming. Great size room, very clean. Toilet paper and towels easily accessible in the cupboard in the hall. We used InDrive for transport. Simple, cheap and easy to use, Aswan's version of Uber. The shower was over the toilet but we managed. Just an inconvenience, the water pressure and hot water were great (winter stay).

Notre valise a été cassée lors de notre séjour mais on nous l’a réparée très habilement. Nous recommandons sans hésitation cet hôtel.

• Frederique (8/5): Incredible - Mohammed and his team are incredible hospitable. They will arrange any request you have. The Nile view from the restaurant and rooftop are so good. The rooms are small and the toilet is also the shower.

• Sercan (8/5): Alles in allem "gut" - Die Lage ist schön. Auf einer Insel. Der Transport aufs "Land" ist sehr gut organisiert und möglich. Das Frühstück ist gut. Personal im Café und Frühstücksbereich ist sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind ziemlich klein. Die Dusche ist offen und neben dem WC. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer war furchtbar. Es gibt aber auch wenige gute Zimmer, die sowohl größer sind als auch einen schönen Ausblick haben.

• Raúl (9/5): - La ubicación en la isla Elefantina es insuperable, es la mejor forma de conocer a los nubios. Las vistas son muy bonitas. El desayuno nos encantó, muy completo y típico egipcio. Incluyen dos transportes gratuitos, para check-in y check-out. El personal es muy amable. Tienen en la azotea una terraza genial para relajarte y tomarte un té. Creemos que nos tocó la habitación cerca de una bomba de agua que estaba en el exterior y hacia un ruido bastante molesto. Las almohadas se podrían mejorar y la ducha es abierta por lo que el baño se empapa cada vez que te duchas.
• Giorgia (10/5): Affacciati sul Nilo - La struttura si trova sulla sponda dell’isola elefantina che si affaccia sul centro di assuan. La posizione è ottimale sia per essere raggiunta con il traghetto pubblico che per le varie escursioni. Il ristorante sulla terrazza è molto buono sia per cena che per colazione. Ci hanno organizzato la gita ad abu simbel e al villaggio nubiano, tutto ottimo e prezzi corretti, ci hanno anche lasciato la colazione da portare via. Lo staff è super gentile e disponibile. La camera era spaziosa, pulita, dotata di tutti i servizi e con un terrazzino stupendo affacciato sul Nilo, ci tornerei sicuramente!
