Guest Reviews
- Tao (10/5): Clean, tidy, and Japanese style - everything we were looking for! - Exceptionally clean - exceeded my expectations! The room was spotless, definitely recommend for families as its difficult to find rooms with multiple beds in Japan. We had 4 people and it was more than enough room for luggage & lounging! They also let us store our luggage in a nearby hotel which was helpful for our last day.
Self check-in service was easy and simple. Check-out was a breeze too! Location was easy to find - it's a quiet neighborhood that's a 10-15 minute walk from nearby subway stations. Overall, highly recommended! The location is a little far if your itinerary is packed or if you have lots of luggage/small children. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest subway station - doesn't seem like much but when you're walking back from a day of exploring it gets tiring. But being far from a subway station has its benefits too - its very quiet both day and night.

- Víctor Hugo (10/5): - It is big compared with others places It is 7 blocks from the nearest subway station
- Argyro (8/5): Spatious room for a family stay around Akihabara - it was good value for money and the facilities were good. The communication worked well and we got our keys on time (for a 3pm check-in). It was quiet and the neighborhood felt safe. It's a good 10 mins walk to any public transport so it was not easy with or suitcases to walk there. There's no front desk -it's like an airbnb. In our case everything worked ok. Check-out is super early - 10am.

- Ben (8/5): Nice property, but be ready for large amounts of walking. - Nice bath and beds with small kitchen. Situated on a street that is fairly quiet at night, and a somewhat larger room than you might get in other parts of Tokyo. It is a 10 minute walk to any transport station. Depending on the length of your stay, this walking adds up a lot and became a bit of a nuisance by the end of our 6-day stay.

- Basa (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at The Maison Guesthouse during our recent trip to Japan. Our booking was smoothly facilitated by the kind and accommodating owner, who made sure we were well taken care of including providing us with anything we requested during our stay.
The house was impressively well equipped everything we needed was there! The kitchen had complete kitchenware, which allowed us to cook and enjoy meals together as a family. Another huge plus was the laundry area. We were able to wash all our dirty clothes using the washing machine, and there was even a balcony and hangers provided for drying. It was so convenient that when we returned to the Philippines, we didn’t bring home any dirty laundry!
Cleanliness was 101% the place was spotless and very well-maintained. For a family of five, it was a comfortable and relaxing stay. Definitely worth every cent.
The only thing to consider is the distance from the nearest train station it’s a bit of a walk. However, the location is still good because there’s a convenience store & grocery store nearby. Just a tip: if you’re planning to book, it might be best during the cooler months like autumn or winter. Walking is part of the Japan experience, but doing it in the summer heat can be really tough.
Overall, The Maison Guesthouse is a great choice for families. It felt like a home away from home, and we truly appreciated everything provided during our stay.

- Paula (10/5): I would definitely book this place again. - Communication is excellent. The place was easy to find and it was a smooth self check in process. It was near Electric Town and Ueno. Also surrounded by 7-11, Family Mart, Lawson and MyBasket. We had a very cozy stay for 8 nights. The unit was clean (vacuum and washing machine was available to use), beds are comfortable and it was spacious. Internet was fast. They also provided slippers, toothbrush, towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We had a TV, but couldn’t figure out how to use. A Smart TV could have been available.
- Ramos (9/5): Superb - The place is tidy and clean.
It is spacious than a hotel.
Quiet neighborhood.
Close to Lawson and 711.
There's a washing machine where you can do laundry.
Easy check in and out. The curtains/drapes-- in Japan summer where the sun rises around 4 am, it would be great to have blackout curtains/blinds so even if the sun has risen, it would still be dark inside. Over our stay I always get woken up around sunrise due to the sunlight getting in.
A bit of a walk from the nearest station but not really a deal breaker.
- Gautier (7/5): Good - Great stay, the guest appartments are quiet and close to akihabara which is exactly what we were looking for. The welcome procedure could be improved a bit, there is no mention of the guest house when you arrive at the address, and the check-in procedure was only sent to us after we'd been waiting in front of the door for a few minutes already. And since there's no reception, you're left to wait in the street.
- Jim (8/5): Very good -
- Zul (9/5): Superb -
- Deirdre (10/5): Excellent apartment, quiet location. - The Maison Akihabara apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well equipped. Communication was very easy. Clear instructions were provided to access to apartment, and we felt very safe in this quiet neighborhood. So, the apartment itself was perfect. We selected the location because we knew we wanted to visit both Akihabara (Electric Town) and Asakusa in one day, and this location was about 15-20 minutes walk from either one. There were convenience stores and excellent (affordable) neighborhood restaurants within minutes by foot. For a quiet location, of a small family, it was a lovely spot. Although it was about 15 minutes walk to a train station, walking in Tokyo is pleasant and safe as long as the streets aren't swarming with people. Which they're not, in this residential neighborhood. The only drawback was that it was about 15 minutes walking to a JR or Metro line. This wasn't a huge problem to be honest, as we like walking in Tokyo. But something to bear in mind if you're pulling large luggage or small children. That said, we managed quite easliy to walk to Okachimachi Station on a Sunday mid-morning pulling two large suitcases, two teenagers and several backpacks. The streets were quiet and it was mostly an easy trek. It seemed like it would be easy to take a taxi if so inclined.
- Chantachard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thanakrit (9/5): Superb -
- Aubrey (10/5): Exceptional - We love the place so much!
- Vsevolod (9/5): Great place to stay for a family of 4 - We are family of 4 and on our trip to Japan we stayed at 3 different locations. Mezon Akihabara Guest House or Maison Akihabara (as it is called on Google map) was the largest and the most comfortable of all of them. Being Air B&B style apartment, it was a pleasure to have full fridge, gas stove and washer for ourselves. Having decent size kitchen table was a pleasant bonus as well; as its absence became a hindrance in the hotels we stayed before.
Check in was smooth and easy and our host was very accommodating letting us having late check out, which worked out very well for us.
The property is within walking distance to Akihabara, which was incredibly convenient on the nights we stayed out late when the metro had stopped running. Additional instructions on how to use washer would be helpful, but we did figure it out.
- I (10/5): Exceptional - The properti is strategis. Easy check in. The room is clean an cozy. Nothing.
- Ie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything are provided nicely. Very convenient Maybe just the hot water for shower it's abit confusing at first for tourist like us
- Taylor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Irene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Evan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great. We were very pleased with our stay. Very close to Akihabara. I have nothing bad to say.
- Thelyross (8/5): It was winter, and the heater was amazing! Overall we have no complains. Its Spacious. - Public transport is everywhere within 500-800m Climbing up stairs.
- Nino (9/5): I’ll gladly come again. - Clean, well setup, spacious, extremely good cost ratio It’s location is a bit undesired depending where you want to go throughout your day.
- Timo (9/5): Superb -
- Primož (9/5): Superb -
- Pin (9/5): Superb -
- Chomon (9/5): Best for having a wonderful time in Akihabara with friends. - I love the vibes around. It’s located in quiet peaceful residential area but not far from main street. The room is spacious, considering pretty big for this area.
The room is clean and well maintained with kitchen, microwave, fridge , and washing machine. I got the room on the rooftop , 7th floor. So we need to walk up on the narrow stairs with fully packed 24” luggage. Even though they have an elevator, but it stopped on 6th floor. So be prepared for that. But the rest of staying here is sooo perfect.
- Jiansong (10/5): Exceptional - There was a washing machine in the room and it was relatively clean and in a relatively convenient locstion
- Nicky (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (9/5): A nice and spacious apartment in the cozy area. - The room was clean and well equipet and there was a lot of space. There was no knife. Would be usueful to have some.
- Richard (9/5): It was a great place, more modern and I definitely would consider staying again - Owner responsive, had all amenities listed except dryer. There is a washer. Everything worked was functional and looked new if not new inside. Neighbors were respectful and I felt we were the loud ones with kids. The layout is very efficient. Walking is definitely unavoidable but not too far from a market that we should have gone to more because food there is inexpensive. Railways about 15 min walking. Overall it was nice Could have used a broom or vacuum. Floor was dirty with dust. I forgot to ask the owner about how I could clean the floor.
- Mohd (10/5): Exceptional - Modern, clean, good location, complete with bathroom, kitchen, utensils, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, tv, air conditioner, etc etc
- Mama (8/5): Excellent choice for our family - Great value good location No communication from guest house or Booking.com re access after hours and property not clearly marked
- Monette (8/5): Great Location - Wonderful location if you like Akiharbara. It was clean and not far from the train and a lot of shops The price was a little steep as it showed a lower price until I went check out on booking and it buped up like 70 USD
- Meghan (10/5): Exceptional -
