- Minu (2/5): Best staff we have experienced that did everything to make our stay comfortable, but not 4 star hote - The staff was AMAZING! They were always super responsive and did what they could to help out. For example, once we ordered food from the only restaurant and they accidently thought we were in a sister location in town, but delivered the food never the less. The staff worked hard with me to refund one night's stay since we decided to leave one day early. The staff was INCREDIBLE and the best I have seen. This is by no means a 4 star property as advertised. The room itself was outdated. The appliances was not working, for example the venting fan did not work. The sinks were rusted, there was a cockroach in one of the drawers. The mosquitoes on this property were crazy, the worst I have ever experienced. The only single restaurant on site lacks basic things e.g. chocolate milk. We have traveled the world and stayed at 2-5 stars, but Brahma Blue is not a 3 star let alone a 4 star property. The pictures are deceptive, you cannot enter the water from the property.

- Julie (8/5): Lovely unique quiet location 5 min boat ride from San Pedro town. - We booked a penthouse (3 of our party were arriving a day early than others but we chose to pay for the penthouse rather than live out of a suitcase then move after 1 day). Unfortunately the penthouse was not available due to unforeseen circumstances, and we were given an inferior apartment for that night. This was disappointing, but the member of staff was very helpful and very apologetic (and they did not charge for an extra bed that we reserved). That particular apartment was an interior one (so quite dark hallway and bedrooms/bathrooms with limited natural light, and dark concrete floors although the lounge/kitchen/balcony was very nice. The penthouse was much better, it had fabulous panoramic views and was really light and airy with great sized rooms. Fully equipped kitchen and 3 bathrooms and TV with firestick. The grounds and location are great, very peaceful. Lovely pool and lagoon jetty. Good restaurant next to the boat jetty. The boat ride across, yes was a little restricting but we really enjoyed actually, apart from getting stuck for an hour at 9pm waiting to return (some issue with cover not being available) but after that, yes there were 10-15 minute delays (bear in mind if catching a flight) but nothing troubling. You can always pay for a specific time crossing (10USD pp I think). We did not see staff much at all during our stay and the apartments aren't serviced during stays as far as I know (we didn't mind this, and they were responsive to messages). All in all we had a lovely time! Downsides, some of the apartment facilities could do with updating and the water pressure was poor. Disappointed that the jacuzzi tub was absolutely non useable, barely a trickle, should really be advertised as "not currently working" as for some of our party this was a significant reason for booking.

- angela (10/5): Just wonderful - It was so much fun exploring the busy hustle and bustle of San Pedro town and so blissful t9 get the little 3 min boat ride across the lagoon to the peace and quiet of Brahma Blue. Our group loved everything about it. The views across the lake from our balcony were stunning. We could have sat there all day just looking. The room was immaculate and well equipped and the staff were great. The Coconut cafe over the water was fantastic. Great food choices and good portion sizes. Also delicious cocktails and a well stocked bar. We will be back again for sure!
- Margie Olson (4/5): We will not be returning to Belize to stay at the Brahma Blue again. - The restaurant is the hangout for the guests staying at Brahma Blue. The food was good, drinks good and had a nice atmosphere. The view from the top floor, Presidential Suite, was nice. The pool was cold and not staffed. We had to hunt down any person working for the hotel to give us any towels and felt that we had to keep the same ones for our entire stay. Our suite was roomy - that was nice. We were told by the manager when we checked in that they hadn't had time to keep up with all the maintenance needed for our unit. That was an understatement. We found it to be in quite a lot of disrepair. An INcomplete list is: when it rained there were large puddles of water that got in through the windows in the kitchen area and one of the bedrooms; the door stops didn't hold the doors well and as the wind could be very strong and the doors heavy, a finger could be amputated if not very careful. Extremely dangerous with children around. In the photos there is an outdoor hot tub on one of the decks. This did not work. It was more like a bathtub that lukewarm water could trickle into and could possibly fill over the course of 12+ hours. After a half hour, the water was cold. It was not useable and one of the features of the suite that we were looking forward to using. We were told that houseekeeping would come every other day. They came only once and it was because we requested it. They tried to tell us that they were too busy to come during the day when we were planning to be out and it would need to be in the evening. When they came, we were gone and came back to cigarette butts in the hot tub. Lastly, I will mention, if you are coming to Belize for the first time, it is inconvenient to stay at the Brahma Blue because of the additional water taxi that must be taken to get across the lagoon. Because of this restriction and the schedule for the water taxi that goes across every two hours only, we found that we didn't have a chance to explore San Pedro as much as we would lhave liked.
- Mary (9/5): We took a badly needed rest and relax at Brahma Blue. - We enjoyed the peace and quiet away from San Pedro, but could be in the middle of the hustle and bustle in a short boat ride. There are many great places to eat within a short walk from the boat dock. The staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful. Definitely check out the restaurant Coconut Cafe. In addition to eating a great deal of local fare in town we ate several times at the resort. Two for one burger night was a huge hit, as was the coconut curry. The views were beautiful. I sat on the balcony every morning and listened to the birds. All around we slowed down and relaxed, something we rarely do! The unit we were in could use some furniture updates, but it was very comfortable overall. We were looking for laid back and it we got it..

Found beer bottles left from previous occupants. Very slippery dangerous shower floors. Recommend anti slip strips or safety rail because getting help from a accident would not be possible at this location.

BRING BUG REPELLENT The staff is friendly. The beds are very comfortable. The kayak was fun to paddle around the Lagoon at sunset We are in the tropics so things are not the same as home.

- Kimberly (9/5): Fantastic staff, lovely property, great restaurant. - The pool is lovely and often the palm trees are lit by colored lights in the evenings. You can wander the boardwalk and look for lizards and iguanas. We even saw a praying mantis! The room are spacious and well equipped; AC, stocked kitchen, very nice. I’m torn about the property being on its own island. It can be nice and quiet but sort of a pain to take the boat back and forth (though there are about 8 trips a day). We went at a quieter time, mid November, and we wished there had been other people there to meet and hang out with.

During our stay, we faced an emergency, and their support was immediate and heartfelt, ensuring my dad received the care he needed by arranging swift transport to the hospital. They continue to check on us, showing a genuine commitment to guest well-being. Our suite was spacious and well-equipped, complete with a full kitchen and a lovely balcony. The on-site restaurant was a highlight, especially with McKayla's amazing mango smoothies. The boat captain, Dino, was kind and attentive. Our primary point of contact, whose name I regretfully forgot, was outstanding—proactive in communication from the moment we booked and ensuring smooth transportation arrangements from Belize City. The property itself is beautiful, featuring a relaxing pool and well-maintained grounds. Every detail here reflects thoughtful care, making it a place we would eagerly return to. Be prepared for mosquitoes when spending time outdoors. While this is beyond the hotel's control, bringing mosquito repellent and scented baby oil is recommended. The hotel also offers mosquito repellent for purchase, ensuring guests have options to stay comfortable.

- Timothy (9/5): - The rooms were plenty big and had good air conditioning. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and communicative and it was very easy to arrange everything with them. The views were incredible and the activities were fantastic. I wish I could have stayed longer. You need to take a boat to get to the mainland, but it runs often enough and the boat staff are very accomadating.
- Aftan (10/5): Thank you for a wonderful stay! - We cannot recommend Brahma Blue enough. We travel a ton and can't remember another time when the customer service was as high as it was here. Darryl especially went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of from our check in to check out: all our taxis, an amazing snorkel tour, drinking water, and even an early boat ride so we could catch the 6am ferry to BZE. In fact, I was a little mind-blown that they were able to offer so many amenities considering the few amount of rooms: a full restaurant, an on-demand spa, pool, on-site activities, kayaks, on and on.... Typically you have to see a hotel with 50+ rooms before you see all these extras. We will definitely stay here again when we come back. We adored Brahma Blue!

We took kayaks out every day and the sunsets were just amazing. This is a hidden gem!! Planning our next trip asap to stay here! Working around the private boat schedule was a little tricky sometimes, but that’s part of being in a quiet secluded spot.
- Roda (4/5): There are good things with this hotel however they did mess up in a big way that mattered most. - The property was beautiful the staff were friendly. I was so happy that the chef Chris and other chef at the coconut cafe were accommodating to my vegan diet and made many options for me to enjoy. It was amazing and I am sure many vegan guests in the future would appreciate it I specifically asked to be charged the full duration of the stay and was assured that I was prior to arrival. - only to find out I was NOT charged the full amount which was very inconvenient and irritating because I asked to be charged for a reason. Certain details were left out - I requested flowers which I was way overcharged for as some of the flowers were dry and there was 6 roses in the bouquet when I should’ve Atleast gotten a dozen roses for the price I was being charged for it. I appreciate the effort of getting the flowers just not being overcharged for something that was clearly not up to par. Hotel doesn’t disclose charges and just surprises you with it. I wish the hotel followed through with my specific request etc.

- Daniel (8/5): Wonderful retreat into sea and light. - Upgraded to 3rd floor condo. Marvelous views, expansive apartment with views to both the NW and SE, good beds, good a/c, a minimally stocked kitchen [coffee and teas], and terrific morning and evening light. No protection on stairs from hard rain. Walk-up from both ground level and from shuttle boats. The water taxis [shuttle boats to San Pedro] were always late and one often had to phone the manager and then wait for up to an hour. The restaurant often didn’t open until after 8 AM.

You can hangout at the hammock/pool and relax. I would have preferred that if it was not my first time to Belize You need to find a shuttle boat every time you want to go to the island. This is an inconvenience but brahma blu manager Darryl does really well to reduce the inconvenience. He goes out of the way to make your stay comfortable

- Julie (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brahma Blue. - I don’t even know where to begin. The resort is located, and what seem to be a private island, and we pretty much had the entire place to ourselves.. the condo we stayed in was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view to the lagoon. Perfect for watching beautiful sunsets.. darrell checked us in with a friendly greeting and a brief debriefing of the resort and what to expect. Darrell went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and helped us booked an awesome snorkeling excursion, as well as a couples massage, and arranged a golf cart for us to use to explore San Pedro, and a taxi to take us from the Ferry station to the airport. Darryl went the extra mile and we were very impressed. All of the staff was friendly and very helpful. The restaurant Coconut Grove, though a bit far from the resort, served some great food. I especially loved their fried jacks! If you’re looking for a quiet and secluded place to relax, Brahma, Blue is definitely it! I highly recommend it! The only thing that I think could have been better is for the restaurant to not have been so far to walk to.

He arrange massages, golf carts, pick uo from airport, restaurants reservations, etc. One thing thw water smells funny. The water in the shower smells funny...leaving you a dirty sensation

The six minute ride from San Pedro's dock to the Blue was breathtaking. As a person with disability,I was appreciative of the special assistance and care given to me to ensure that my. stay was memorable. Let's talk about the food (Chef Felix kudos all around) taste,presentation fantastic, especially since you made our traditional fry jack aka Belizean pancake to perfection. There were no black-out shades so outside night lighting on the ground floor disturbed our sleep, requiring us to stealthily throw a towel over it on our way up to our unit. Also, bedding was must
