- Ellen (8/5): - Comfy hotel walking distance to a lot of amenities and great view from higher floors. Kinda pricy for the season

- Chris (9/5): A warm Northern welcome in the heart of Yellowknife - Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant was outstanding, especially the Northern specialties. Only one elevator was working, which made for longish waits for the elevator.

- Antonijevic (10/5): The Explorer Hotel was the perfect place to stay in Yellowknife — comfortable, central, and with wonderful staff. - The hotel is perfectly located in a central area, making it convenient to explore. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very clean.

- Hao (7/5): You have no choice in Yellowknife - Great location, and it is warm in the winter. 隔音不行,半夜听到隔壁房间叫床做爱声。

- Belinda (8/5): - Cleanliness Elevator was out of service
- Sheng (9/5): -

- Kristen (8/5): - I am reasonably sure I left my watch charger cord at the hotel. I called and visited repeatedly in the following days but each time I spoke to a different person and it was unclear whether housekeeping found it or not. After about a week, they said that they never found it.
- Joenna (10/5): -
- Andrea (6/5): Soggiorno ok. Prezzi troppo alti. Colazione al mattino non compresa. Prezzo colazione alto. - i prezzi!!!!!!!
- Danuta (9/5): A very good stay in Yellowknife. - Clean, good location, excellent restaurants. Unfortunately the bathroom sliding door wasn’t functioning properly and got stuck.
- Mcarthur (1/5): How to go stay at my cousin's room when I checked in and the key didn't work for the - That I did not get into the room that day and like my refund because I have to go see all my cousin's room the key didn't work for my room
- Okpukok (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Donna (9/5): We had a lovely stay! - These were by far the most comfy beds with the best pillows of our trip for me! I always travel with my own memory foam travel pillow as most hotel pillows I’ve experienced are fluffy feather pillows that compact down to nothing and end up feeling like I’m sleeping on a brick! But not at The Explorer Hotel! The beds were like a big warm hug with a lovely soft but supportive pillow! The fireplace in The Traders Grill was a beauty! The nachos at The Trapline Lounge were delicious! (Real cheese!) The undesirables that decided it was their right to sit in the pub and have a beer and then not pay for it. 👎
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Leslie (9/5): Great! - Room and restaurant were great. Gym was pretty good. Ground-floor common area was adequate. Nothing comes to mind.
- Ligia (1/5): They randomly charged my card 11 days after check-out. - I would give 0 stars if I could. I paid for this hotel upon check-in, and yet 11 days after checkout with no warning, I was charged a total of $921 on my credit card (that I had added to secure the booking) on 3 separate charges. I’ve messaged the hotel and have not heard back. They haven’t returned Booking’s message either. The fact that they were able to charge my card nearly 2 weeks post check-out tells me there’s ZERO concern for customers’ data privacy. I’m now going to have to dispute the charges with my bank. It honestly seems like they charged 3 separate room’s for one night on my card, which is basically a scam. Thanks for the rip off, Explorer Hotel.
- Yik (8/5): Very good -
- Phylis (10/5): Hotel was better than I expected - I love the size of the room. The location is good because rooms have terrific views.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Kat at checkin, and Manual who manned the night shift at the front desk. The elevators were so SLOW!
- Chiu (8/5): Very good -
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Close to amenities like shoppers, clean and fresh looking, nice view
- Patrick (8/5): Overall, it was a very nice stay at the hotel. - Room was nice. The location of the restaurant was also very relaxing with the snow scenery in the background.
All the hotel staff were pretty friendly. The buffet breakfast was sub-par. The waitresses were nice but not very attentive. I had to ask for coffee refill a few times.
The shower curtain was torn on top and should be replaced.
When I messaged the hotel before our trip regarding the hotel shuttle pickup after midnight, they did not respond until a few days later. I had even left a phone message to the hotel manager and she had never called me back.
Finally, I got in touch with a lady with the hotel reception on the phone. However she gave me wrong information about the shuttle bus saying that there would be no shuttle after midnight. Luckily, we were able to catch the hotel shuttle at around 12:40 AM at the airport by chance. Later I found out from a male hotel receptionist that the shuttle actually ended after 1 AM, not 12 AM.
- Axel (1/5): Bad -
- Mavis (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dennis (8/5): Very good -
- Alec (9/5): Superb -
- William (8/5): It was very short and easy - It was comfortable and clean
- Beasley (10/5): Exceptional - Convenient the bar is wonderful Price increase
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Stewart (5/5): Passable -
- Mary (8/5): Very good - Had a nice meal in the lounge. Appreciated the early shuttle to the airport. Would be nice to have 2 people on the front desk at times. There was an issue with the reservation of the person in front of me and it took half an hour to get it resolved so that I could take my turn to check in. And I had checked in online. That didn't seem to speed things along at all. I have stayed at other hotels where if I check in online, they send a digital door code so that I can just arrive and go to my room without having to 'check in' with a person. This would be more efficient.
- Tigvareark (10/5): Excellent -
- Deborah (9/5): Superb - Room excellent, bed very comfortable, room quiet, staff pleasant and very helpful and shuttle was great. The gym needed cleaning. Floor was quite dirty.
- Ian (5/5): Passable - Location The facilities are starting to deteriorate. The comfortless of the bed, pillows etc.. is not worth the value of money paid anymore. Most of all, the cleanliness is not at par. The carpets are dilapidated, smelly. Feels like the rooms are quickly cleaned.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jolene (8/5): Very good -
- Jongwook (9/5): Superb - Very good location good staff
- Onam (6/5): Pleasant -
- Daniel (7/5): A good place to stay, if expensive - A better than adequate place to stay in a town without many other choices. Comfortable, decent bar and restaurant and helpful staff. Let's be honest, you don't come to Yellowknife to stay in your hotel room. It was a welcome bonus to have a nice one when we needed it.
- Dason (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Nice property, easy access Food's expensive
The walls are thin
- Oliver (6/5): Overpriced and tired rooms. - Room was big, gym facility was very well equipped and spacious. Room was tired, bathroom was dated and given the price it did not represent value for money. Whilst it is the nicest hotel in Yellowknife, it would be the worst in any other town.
- Rhonda (7/5): Generally room very comfortable and would go back again - The location was very good. Central to town Vending machines don’t work so could not get water or ice. Staff appeared not to be aware of this.
There was NO laundry service
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janice (8/5): Very good -
- Ferris (8/5): Very good -

- Mary (7/5): Good -
- Judy (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (10/5): Warm welcome and comfortable stay at the Explorer - They put me on the top floor away from the elevators as I requested. The bed was very comfortable. The clerks were very lovely to me. I couldn't get hooked up to the wifi. I tried 2 different laptops and my phone. The wifi connection in that room may be precarious.
- June (8/5): Very good -
- Iryna (8/5): Very good -
- Raymond (10/5): When I return to Yellowknife I will always stay at The Explorer Hotel - Staff were friendly and helpful.
- Francisco (3/5): Poor - I didn’t find a shampoo when I arrived and I haven’t had support to get it.
I left a vest forget it there and I couldn’t find the way to get t back.
My bed was just to covered, it wasn’t made it well.
- Eduardo (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Clean, tidy lovely views and right in town. - Restaurant was very nice, because view, pleasant staff, lovely food and fire pit. The bar was lovely too, staff very pleasant and helpful. Lovely fireplace and comfortable seating areas. Could do with another area in hotel, not in the reception. A room away from bedroom to talk, read, play games & With tea and coffee. Could do with a shop or more venting machine, so as not to have to go outside (very cold) to purchase items.
- Carl (7/5): Good - Restaurant hours: Need to have a 6:00 am opening for breakfast!
- Anouk (7/5): Good -
- Ye (1/5): Bad - I did not living in there those days why do you charge me I was living there 28 29 of Oct, why di you charge me one more time? the food is awful and expensive
