• Samuel (7/5): Good - I like the amenities and the area, good connection to the train by going to the first floor and using the bridge. Apartment had a great view and nice layout. My main complaint is the fact that there is a deposit which can only be made by bank transfer and not cash. I have stayed in the Alila building before but with a different company that didn't ask for a deposit. This is not exactly great if you are an overseas traveller because then you also have to pay fees to be able to send the deposit, and also there was trouble receiving it back because I have a foreign account. Especially having to deal with all these things on arrival via whatsapp it made the check in quite annoying, and then on checkout, their bank wouldn't accept my bank account so I had to send it to another and then pay even more fees, so overall these things wasted a lot of time, and more money. So when I return to KL I will choose the other companies in this building because unfortunately it hasn't been thought through properly.

We expected the loft to be better maintained - It was a big space. 1) the apartment lights were flickering and it was not lit well. 2) the towels were dirty and when we reached out they couldn’t give us fresh towels ( we reached out within the hour of checking in ) 3) the couch had weird stains. 4) the window only had one curtain and the other side didn’t have a curtain ( it was broken and not replaced )

• Aishath (7/5): while the apartment was okay, the smell, broken bidet, and communication issues made the stay less pleasant than it coul - The staff in the building was really nice. My stay at this apartment was okay, but there were several issues that affected the experience. Upon arrival, there was a strong curry-like smell in the apartment, which I assume was left behind by previous guests. Additionally, the bidet in the master bedroom was broken it didn’t have a handle and was left lying on the floor, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable. I encountered some difficulties with the host regarding the security deposit. I initially asked if there were any options other than transferring the deposit, and they agreed to let me pay in cash later. However, when I was at the airport and reached out about the check-in process, they suddenly required a transfer, which was confusing and frustrating. To top it off, it took over two weeks to get the deposit back.Communication was also a challenge since most interactions were through WhatsApp, which mainly sent out automated responses, making it hard to get timely and accurate information.

• Siva (5/5): Not worth the money - The property looks nice but not worth the price. The most hassle property that I’ve ever stayed. RM250 security deposit needed which is quite a huge sum for that small unit. Another RM50 need to be given to the guard upon getting and returning the access card. It’s quite a hassle. No staff working after 8pm to validate my parking tickets. It was quite troublesome for me to check out. The most horrible part is the property doesn’t come with a complimentary parking. Usually other homestay or hotel it will be at least one complimentary parking, but here the parking is payable by the guests and that too expensive.

• Robert (10/5): Other than the stairs up the Loft, I enjoyed my stay at The Establishment. - My point of contacts with Sleepy Bear are Cloe & Mira. They are very responsive and helpful. They responded very quickly to my questions when I first checked in. Apartment was clean and comfortable. The sleeping area was at the loft The steps up the loft was too high, narrow & steep. I make it a point not to drink too much water before going up to retire for the night. The thought of going down the stairs and up again, with my weak knees puts me off. This is the only issue I have.
